Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Badgerheart bit his lip as he sat just inside the entrance to the training hollow, looking around for his apprentice. Okay, so perhaps he could have been a little more on time with their first training session, but he was counting on being able to make it up to Topazpaw once they actually did begin.
Topazpaw arrived, her light amber eyes glinting in the sunlight while her long fur danced as she padded into the training hollow. "I'm ready to begin" the snoody apprentice mewed to him. She always felt like she was better than everyone else. She looked Badgerheart up and down. He wasnt who she expected to be her mentor. It would be cooler if the leader herself had taken her on as her apprentice but unfortunately Ravenstar had not chosen her. She guessed Badgerheart would have to do.
"All right," Badgerheart nodded, moving to stand. "Usually I like to ask my apprentices what they'd like to cover first, so...What would you like to begin with?" The truth was, he usually didn't ask his apprentices that, but Topazpaw seemed like the kind of apprentice that would respond to feeling like she had more control than she actually did.
She cringed on the inside at the thought of getting her paws dirty. She tried to think of something that wouldn't get blood and dirt under her claws. "I haven't seen the territory, yet" She answered her mentor, hoping he would agree to showing her the territory so she wouldn't have to do much else.
Badgerheart suppressed a smile. I thought so. "Grand tour it is, then," he declared, bounding out of the training hollow with a beckoning flick of his tail. Topazpaw may have chosen the easiest path, but that didn't mean he would let her off easy. "I think we'll start with one of the more challenging parts of the territory..." he mused loudly, watching her out of the corner of his eye.
She groaned inwardly. Why did being an apprentice have to be so much work? "Okay. What is that?" She asked him. What challenging part of the territory was he talking about?
