Brackenpaw's facial features melted into a frown as he watched the squirrel scamper under the roots of a smooth-barked ash in front of him. That was the second piece of prey he had managed to miss that day. Curling his tail over his paws, the brown tabby let out a small sigh. Usually he was on top of his game, but lately he had felt so distracted. Many of his clanmates were having nightmares so they had an excuse. He had none.
