Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
this takes part after the plot takes place. because of this, there are spoilers to what happens to kerrigan during it. read at your own discretion.

a wave crested over her head, disorienting her. how had the water been so deep? it shouldn't have been so deep... it didn't look this deep... kerrigan's head fought against the waves to break the surface of the water, and as soon as she did, she took a sharp inhale of air. this was an immediate reaction to coming in contact with fresh air again, and it was good that it was. only a moment later another wave crashed over her, dragging her from the surface of the water into deep into the water...

she couldn't breathe. her lungs were screaming. her body was screaming. it needed air, needed air, needed air. yet, she no longer had the strength to fight the waves. minutes had now passed since she first time the water had dragged her under. her body had all but disappeared from the surface in that time, making it almost impossible to even catch sight of her orange-cream body within the black water.

KERRIGAN WOKE UP WITH A START. THE TSAR HADN'T MEANT TO FALL ASLEEP IN THE SEATED POSITION SHE HAD TAKEN AT THE HIGHEST PART OF THE CLOSEST THING THAT BROOKCLAN HAD TO A CAMP. she had been even more vigilant about falling asleep since the group was reunited and the flood waters had, for the most part, parted. this was a calculated move. every time her eyes closed, her death played on repeat. each time, it felt so real... maybe even more real than when she actually felt the life leave her body. it was a strange, transcendental experience, losing a life, but one that induced a constant state of insomniatic horror on the feline. she had died... how many cats could say that ?
few felines truly understood the reprecussions of the fact that kerrigan had lost a life during the flood. of course, it wasn't a secret. even though she would have liked it to be, she didn't trust that the four other felines that had accompanied her to her den before the area flash flooded would keep their mouths shut. she had made the announcement when the group had first made it back to each other. she had lost her first life, but her own malady was not as important as the other brave souls that had been lost to the waters. they were gone permanently.
even though they all knew that she only had eight lives now, there were very few cats that understood that she was traumatized by the event, that her dreams haunted her, that she could feel the screaming of her body every time she fell asleep. they could all see that she looked tired, her combined six bours of sleep in the last four days left her on e. most assumed this was simply because she was still in recovery.
but, that being said, there were cats who were beginning to ask questions....
The pretty yellow cat had decided to take some warm prey to Kerrigan were she had posted herself, when she noticed that the leader hadn't come back down after awhile. Athena knew she didn't have to and wasn't trying to gain any personal favor with the tsar by doing so. She just felt like being nice for the sake of being nice. When she neared her leader, she noticed that she had fallen asleep only to startle awake a few heart beats later. The small she cat's fur pricked, and her skin burned with anxiety, had she accidentally woken the other cat?
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." she meowed urgently, dropping the prey between them. "I just thought you could do with something to eat." She explained quickly, hoping she didn't accidentally anger Kerrigan. It was clear in her expression that she was anxious and her body was stiff as if she was rooted to the ground. She knew that the Tsar hadn't been herself lately but, she figured she was just reading too deeply into the situation.
she looked a little startled, still, before giving herself one good shake. come on, kerrigan. she thought to herself. get it together. the moderately disgruntled looking tsar gave the other cat an apologetic half smile, although, despite her internal chiding, there was still panic fresh in her gaze. no matter how hard she tried to blink it off, she couldn't imagine it going away until she had once again rooted herself swiftly in reality. it was why she was so hesitant to dream; it was so hard for her to wake herself back up.
"you didn't," she meowed, trying to sound as normal as possible. "i just had a little bit of a bad dream, that's all." the way she sounded was almost apologetic, something that the tsar seldom was. this was yet another hint that something was wrong, something the she-cat was not really yet ready to admit to even herself. "don't worry, it wasn't you." her lips twitched slightly at the corner, before she nodded to the other. "that was nice of you. i appreciate it." when the members of the group that had been stuck in the den for nearly a week and a half, they had all come back visably thinner. kerrigan had been hesitant to eat much since, simply due to a fear that she would gorge herself while others still needed to eat, simply because it had been a while since her last good meal.
"Sure" Athena tried not to sound too optimistic in her response, she wasn't as afraid of their leader to the same extent as the others. However, she gave Kerrigan the same respect. Intimidating yes, the tsar was very much that at times but, in this moment she could only see the scared cat that stood in front of her. The yellow tabby crouched down in front of the prey, tucking her paws neatly under herself and turning her matching gaze up to watch Kerrigan. "You can have first bite" she meowed, nudging the fresh-kill closer to the other she-cat. She was going to make sure she ate something even if the other clawed her ears off.
She offered a shaky smile, one that looked completely strange on the Tsar's mouth. Kerrigan was not a creature who ever looked uncomposed. Even when she was most angry, she seemed level, or at least, more level than she was now. She looked a mess, but perhaps that was what happened when you experienced direct trauma. Being a mess probably had some sort of justification, didn't it?
"Thank you," she meowed, before taking a bite. Food had lost its appeal to her slightly, simply because she had lived a week on the bare minimum. She had grown accustomed to eating last, to saving what little strength she had as long as possible. The others had been unimpressed with her demands to be the last to get a share of the few resources the six of them had. After all, she had just died. She was in rough shape. Yet, if they had tried to voice their concerns in that den, Kerrigan had given them an icy stare.
This being so, she hadn't realized how hungry she truly was until the piece of prey was in her mouth. How strange, she thought, before chewing a few times and promptly swallowing.
"How are you this morning, Athena?" she asked, trying to make sure the other cat didn't have time to ask her the same.
Sammy poked his head around the corner, his eyes bright. Visiting his mate and children always brought him such joy, and he always left with a bright smile. "Wakey, Wakey!" He offered the Tsar a warm smile before dipping his head in respect. "I put more most in your den when I brought some back for Gabe, but it won't be much use if you sleep up here." The boyar gave her a half smirk before settling next to the Tsar. He smiled at the other cat. "Hello, Athena!" His voice was a warm and welcoming as ever, the opposite of Kerrigan.
She turned her head slightly to look at her brother. Gods, be damned, she thought as he approached. She didn't want to deal with him, not because she didn't like her boyar, but becasue she suddenly had to be a little less willing to be troubled. Of course, it was problematic for her to look troubled at all while she sat in such an open seat. She realized this with a start, before slowly pulling herself into a seated position.
"I hadn't mean to fall asleep," she admitted. "I was trying to observe the area as much as possible to see how cats were re-settling. I suppose I was just more tired than I thought I was." She tried to smile, but the look in her eyes was still not quite recovered from her dream.
