Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Umbrapaw slipped out of the cave, the moon was nothing more than a claw in the sky but with the stars' help, it shown enough light for him to see. He had been in the clan for a while now. Moving along with them to the cave behind the waterfall. He still remembered his mother. How it all happened. The nightmare's usually kept him awake, reliving the time his mother had lost her life, leaving her kits behind. He was grateful for Nightclan taking him and his siblings in. Though he deeply missed his mother and it bothered him all the time. The vivid memories, the nightmares. He tried to see the bright side of things but he always ended up in the dark.
The pitch black tom walked along the river, watching as the moon and the stars danced in the currents. He let out a sigh and looked up at the dotted sky. Was his mother up there? Would she be part of Starclan even though she wasn't a clan cat? All these thoughts whirled in his mind, causing a headache. He laid down beside the rushing water, tucking his paws underneath him. He tried to see his reflection in the water but the dim light only cast a light shadow over the water. She couldn't make out any of his details. He began to think about who he was and if he was meant to be part of Nightclan at all.
He had been so caught up in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed a presence.
Squirrelleap had tried to care for the kits... but it was a struggle. He loved them, had immediately desired to love them and raise them after bringing them to NightClan. They’d needed family and Squirrelleap wanted to strive to be there for them.
He had been out hunting, a squirrel in his jaws as he came back from a dusk hunt, noticing a small black shape beside the water basin. Ears pricking he padded over, and his eyes softened when he saw Umbrapaw looking lost.
He moved to sit down beside him. “Hey,” Squirrelleap meowed after setting down his catch, “What’s up Umbrapaw?” He asked.
Umbrapaw jumped in surprise but quickly relaxed when he realized it was hid idle, Squirrelleap. The tom who had become more of a father than anything. "Oh, hi, Squirrelleap. Sorry, I was just lost in thought." He looked down at Squirrelleap's squirrel, "nice catch."
