Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
do you believe in curses? do you believe in legends of creatures that only exist in the hazy twilight? these kittens might just be for you. they were kidnapped at birth and brought to brookclan under the assumption that they belonged to adira. adira is known for causing trouble, and most consider her the witch of brookclan. she is often seen as critically insane, and keeps to a far part of the territory where she will raise these kittens isolated from the rest of the group. what kind of misfortune will fall over brookclan when the feline (who rumor has it is not only a witch but also carries with her a curse) raises stolen kittens?
for the kittens, i am going to list a summary of the cryptid in which they are named. you are more than welcome to pick gender and looks, but keep the kitten's personality at least inspired by the lore c:
eloko : [taken]a dwarf that lives in the forests, and is the spirit of ancestors living there. They haunt the forest because they have some grudge to settle with the living and are generally quite vicious. They live in the darkest and densest part of the rainforest of central Zaire. They ferociously and jealously guard their treasures, that are the game and rare fruits of the rainforest. To survive in the darkest and densest part of the forest, you need to be an intrepid hunter, because successful hunters need to possess strong magic, without which they would never see game at all. The Biloko live on trees and dress themselves with leaves. They are hairless; instead of hair, they have grass growing on their bodies. They have piercing eyes, snouts with mouths that can admit a human, dead or alive. They also have long, sharp claws. They eat human flesh and possess little bells, which cast a spell on passersby that can only be repelled by wearing an amulet or fetish.
capelobo : TAKEN The Capelobo can stun with its foul stink, and even those who survive the encounter will get headaches and dizziness for several days to a month. It is also known for its shrill screams, which can be heard for ten miles and are powerful enough to bring even the hardiest of hunters to their knees and completely paralyze most with fear. When heard in the distance, they can bewilder hunters and travelers, causing them to become lost and sometimes mad. However, they may also make a softer and less dangerous sound that sounds not unlike someone blowing over the top of an empty bottle..
akhlut : TAKEN In Inuit mythology, Akhlut (Pronounced Ock-lut or Ack-lut) is a spirit that takes the form of both a wolf and an orca. It is a vicious, dangerous beast. Its tracks can be recognized because they are wolf tracks that lead to and from the ocean. Often, dogs seen walking to the ocean and/or into it are considered evil. Little is known of this spirit, other than that it shapeshifts from an orca to a wolf when hungry. Not many myths relate to this creature but a great number of myths tell of creatures that shift their shape. It is normally portrayed as a mix of an orca and a wolf.
ahool : TAKEN a winged cryptid. Some portrayed the creature as a giant bat while others claim it is flying primate. It was first reported by Dr. Ernest Bartels in 1925. It is said to live in the deepest parts of the jungles of Java, and can be found across most of Indonesia. Sub-species can be found on the nearby island of New Guinea in the form of the Ropen, a cousin to the Ahool. The Ropen has a long snout, large wings and a long thin crest. It has a chimp's/bat's face, large dark eyes, red skinned wings, large claws on its forearms, and is covered in grey fur. It is said to have a wingspan of 18 to 28 feet, or 6 to 9 meters. That is 3 to 4.5 times the size of the largest bat known to man, the flying fox. Although it mainly eats fish, it will occasionally attack humans. Most likely because that the creature/animal is extremely territorrial.
also here is some info on the serpopard, i didn't want to make a complete meme kit but the picture of a serpopard is def worth the click LOL
Heres Akies bio ian :'D sorry it took awhile i got busy :'3
Akhlut is named after a spirit that takes the form of both a wolf and an orca. It is a vicious, dangerous beast. Its tracks can be recognized because they are wolf tracks that lead to and from the ocean. Just by looking at this cat your skin can't help but to crawl and raise goosebumps on your flesh. Akhlut's body is long and lanky. His limbs gangly and skews towards almost unnatural with how long they are, leaving his paws to appear large in contrast to the long sinewy appendages. His lean body his mostly covered in wire dark brown fur with strands of white flecks throughout the fur. His fur things out around his eyes, muzzle and underbelly leaving his pale almost ivory coloured flesh to be seen. His eyes are a dried cornstalk yellow and seem to glint with a predatorial gleam. Akhlut isn't one for any words, his central verbal communication coming from grunts, snorts and low mumbles. He's hard to approach and even if approached it's even harder to have an enjoyable conversation with him. He has a short temper and is quick to bare his fangs and claws, unafraid to scare off those that annoy him or get in his way. When he was young he was kidnapped by Adira and raised on the outskirts of BrookClan with his four other siblings Eloko, Capelobo, Ahool, and Serpopard.
