Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The sleek brown warrior waited patiently just outside of camp for Redfur and the 5 apprentices assigned to them, excited to finally have become a mentor and ready to start the day which would undoubtedly be full of training and new experiences. After all, it was the first time Summerclan had ever done training like this and he wasn't entirely sure how well it would work but he trusted his mother and his doubts would not cloud his excitement.
The prospect of stepping foot outside the safety of SummerClan camp made Sunflowerpaw’s heart hammer with anxiety. He had never been out there before. It was fresh and new, who knew what would be out there. The calico tom shook out his head, trying to clear those thoughts from his mind. Why was he scared of going outside? He crept out of the apprentices den—a sleepless night—and towards the exit. He could see his mentors for his group waiting, Lupinepatch and Redfur, just outside. They were waiting.
He wadded out of camp as if in deep waters. New smells and sights hit him instantly. He wasn’t overwhelmed, no, he felt free. Or maybe welcomed. It felt like home, really, despite the danger. He padded up to his mentors. “Uhm—hi. It’s very nice out here.” His tail quivered with anxiety. Would his new mentors even like him? Would his groupmates? He wouldn’t worry about that right now.

"It is!" Purred an extra-happy voice from nearby. Birchpaw stepped up beside Sunflowerpaw and gave his new denmate a little nudge. The black tom was just a bit older than the others, but it didn't bother him one bit. He was honestly excited for this new group training thing. Life was a lot more fun with friends!
Brackenpaw was the oldest apprentice of the group so he knew he had an edge over the others. The thought made him uncomfortable, though. He would rather be on the same level as them... The brown tabby was sometimes a bit too humble and longed to be useful. His green eyes drifted over to Redfur and Lupinepatch, curious about what they were going to teach them.

"I'm well, actually, and very fortunate. How are-" He was cut off by the sudden arrival of their apprentices and he smiled at each of them. Finally, he had been given the chance to prove himself and he was almost as excited as the apprentices themselves. He noticed that Brackenpaw was part of this group and he thought that was interesting - Brackenpaw was significantly older than the new apprentices and figured they would have to approach this differently. "Did you all sleep well?" He asked, his tail waving in the air behind him.
Sunflowerpaw gave a nervous glance to the other apprentices, his fur crawling. He didn’t want to look like a fool in front of them. He shifted beside Lupinepatch and turned his head towards the territory, new and unknown to him. “I slept...” He paused for a second. He hadn’t slept at all last night, not a wink. The apprentices den was new to him and the darkness seemed to have closed on in on him. He shook out his pelt nervously. “I slept well.” He said after a heartbeat. “So, what are we learning today?”

"I slept great!" Birchpaw purred happily. "Oh! Sundapple showed me some of the borders. I hope I can remember them!" His former mentor had been a good one, that was for sure, but he was excited to train with friends.
Brackenpaw listened quietly, deciding not to chip into the conversation. Honestly, he hadn't slept that well, but who was nowadays?

"Sounds good. Even if a few of them aren't new apprentices, it will be a good refresher and they can help the younger ones. Are you ready? Redfur, lead the way." He smiled, dipping his head respectfully to the senior warrior. After all, it would be pretty rude of him to take the lead.
