Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"But I don't want to clean our the moss. It's dirty and gross. If you care so much about it, you do it!" Specklepaw glared at his denmate with pale green eyes. The tom was little, his voice high and petulant, to the effect he was less intimidating and more like a sulky kitten. He spun around, his head low and tail lashing, and stalked out of the apprentice's den. "I don't care who wants me to, I am NOT going to clear out the den."
Specklepaw glared around the camp, daring anyone to disagree with him.
Not far from the apprentice's den a soft giggle could be heard. Wrenkit had snuck away from Stealthclaw and had taken up her usual post eavesdropping on the other dens. The petite she kit was just about to move on to the elder's den for some juicy gossip when the commotion started.
"What's wrong with clearing out the den?" She mewed, emerging from her hiding spot and practically bouncing over to Specklepaw. "Is it hard?"
“Every apprentice has to!” Skypaw shot back her tail lashing ears pinned back as she followed after Specklepaw, as she emerged she detected a different scent and turned towards Wrenkit, unseeing eyes blinking. “Oh, hey Wrenkit what are you doing out of the nursery?” Skypaw asked.
"It's gross, I keep getting moss stuck to my fur everywhere, and the bracken pokes my pads," he complained to the kitten. He glared back toward Skypaw with his ears pinned against his head and a low growl rumbling in his throat. He didn't like her much after their last confrontation when they were kits. "Well I won't!"
“Hm, that does sound bad. I didn’t know. We’re always just playing while they change our moss,” she said, ignoring the hostility between the apprentices. “And hi Skypaw! It’s so boring in the nursery. I wanted to get out and explore!” She grinned at Skypaw even though he couldn’t see it. “Please don’t tattle!”
Skypaw's ears flattened and she spluttered in indignation. "It's not tattling when you have a job you're supposed to do and you refuse to do it!" She snapped at Specklepaw before turning to Wrenkit and letting out a sigh, "It's okay to be out of the nursery, but with the waterfall you shouldn't go wandering too far, you could get hurt." Skypaw warned.
“Come on, Skypaw,” Wrenkit whined to the apprentice. She finally had a chance to get out of camp and do something exciting instead of sitting around camp all day and she wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass her by. “As long as I’m with you and Specklepaw I’ll be okay. I promise to be good.”
"It is tattling. It's none of your business what I do," he sneered. "Come on Wrenkit, you can come with me. Skypaw can stay here if she doesn't want to come and if she tells anyone she'll regret it."
