Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
WINTERCLAN @asterdeity The Crowned dipped her head to the Knight and gave him a warm smile. "It's definitely not what I was expecting, that's for sure." A soft purr of amusement rumbled deep in her throat as jade eyes scanned the clearing. "I was expecting a little more... Tension, maybe? Although, it is only four of us so far."All the weaker clans at that, though Diamondheart would never say that out loud. She had to be gracious and curtious- this was WinterClans big debute, and she had to do her rightful job and prove her worth among the other deputies. She knew some of the other clans, whispers here and there of their cultures and temperments. She would sit back, stay with her leader and watch her interactions, study the others. There wasn't much else she could do as a stranger in a strange land- at least to her, anyway.
He watched her with curiosity, letting his gaze wander the clearing as he listened to her talk. "Yeah, it can be pretty exciting sometimes. But that's only if trouble gets stirred up. In my opinion, its best when that doesn't happen, because you get to find out more about the other Clans," he said with a small shrug. "We might see some excitement yet. Just depends on if a cat is in a particularly fowl mood. I, for one, am expecting something to happen when SpringClan shows up — if they even do, that is." He recalled the way that SpringClan rouge had charged into the middle of camp, howling like a banshee for his fellow Clanmate. "If they're anything like what Desidre expressed, then it'll be interesting."
He was albeit a bit relieved to have someone to chat with, rather than looking like some extremely tall loner. He moved so that she had space to sit and glanced back around at the cats, giving a small and nervous little laugh. "Yeah, its definitely... different. I mean, I knew there were a ton of Clans but..." he trailed off, watching the cats with a very curious expression. "There are only four so far, correct? At least... I think so. All of these scents are confusing."
@rika She purred, "you will get used to it. Also, yes, there are four clans. I can tell by the scent. However, if you know the leaders of each clan, you can look at which leader is already here. They usually talk amongst themselves over there" she mewed, pointing her tail to where the leaders were huddled together in conversation. "Leaders, deputies, medicine cats, apprentices, and queens usually split up into groups to talk. You dont see many communicating with any outside of their group."
He blinked curiously, scanning the entire clearing and making note. He surely recognized a few Leaders, if anything. The WinterClan one was new, but he could tell she had a regal air to her. That meant the tom talking to her must have been Thruststar; he'd more or less heard of him. Nodding at her advice, he said, "I guess it makes sense. Kinda sucks though. I mean, its fun to meet new faces. Swap stories, you know?" he said after a moment, tail tip flicking with curiosity.
Summerclan @rika "Thats the only thing I like about coming to the gatherings" she responded, scanning the clearing. "I like to meet new cats and swap stories. Some are quite interesting. Also, you get an idea of how the other clans work and what they are like."
WINTERCLAN @asterdeity The tuxedo molly raised a browbone. She herself hadn't been in camp when the alleged harpee had caused quite the scene, although she had heard more than earful about it from almost everyone in their clan. "I heard about that. I wish I could have been there to see that for myself." She felt a little bad for Roaringsun, the pitiful soul. Though, her mind wasn't much worried about a few stray rogues as much as it worried for the refugees they had been keeping from their rightful home. Would Valleystar mention it in her introduction? They hadn't discussed it, believing it to be something that they should keep for themselves; secrecy on their isolated peak was something WinterClan had now grown used to- the very thing that had drawn the forest cat to her home in the first place.
FALLCLAN Pumpkinpaw strolled into the clearing next to her aunt and sister. The siblings had been recently promoted and the flame-pointed molly bounced as she took her place among their clan, nudging her sister with amusement. "Oooh! Come on, Paintedpaw! Isn't this exciting? Our first gathering!"
FALLCLAN Moonbound Thrushstar nodded. He expected the answer, as it was the same for him. He decided to stay silent for the rest of the moment, watch the other clans flood into the clearing. He knew the Gathering would be filled with conversations so similar to this. Along with the elders sharing their stories as they always did, and first-time apprentices boasting about their training. He relaxed, the fur along his spine finally lowering. Spotindy Wildhare nodded. Fawnheart was apart of FallClan now, and much like their leader, was welcome to change. Other cats among them might think differently about accepting outsiders, but enjoyed the fresh outlook they provided.
WINTERCLAN simplylight Arizonaraspberry padded beside the apprentice. "First time Gatherings can be overwhelming for any cat. It's quite overwhelming for me.." the she-cat looked at her paws, embarrassed. It was only her second Gathering.
A small shape slipped between the clans numbers, large doe eyes eyeing everything happening with a air of wonder. Small paws carried them easily through the often large cats; unless they were passing through a group of apprentices. The white and brown tabby tom paused, almost in the center of it all, a glance being passed towards where the leaders were gathered before being carried away towards the Winterclan cats, then the Summerclan. Interestingly enough, barley any heed was payed towards the Asbum lux cats, as if they were uninteresting to the tom that had seemed to full of wonder a moment before.
indy At the overheard words from the fallclan apprentice a wide smile crossed his features as he eagerly trotted over towards them. Hoping they would be welcoming. "Hi! I'm sorry to interrupt but I heard it was your first gathering and it's mine as well. I'm Chickpea." He purred widely, mismatched eyes bunching at the width of his grin. Such a little white lie showing no outward appearance in his countenance.
FALLCLAN @blankslate Pumpkinpaw blinked soft blue eyes at the strangers introuction. How exciting! She was already making friends! "Ooooh! Really? That's so cool! My name's Pumpkinpaw." She flicked her flame orange tail as a bright toothy smile split her face in half. "Chikpea? That's such a cool name! Are you from one of those loner-type groups?"
WINTERCLAN Moonbound Roaringsun sighed loudly. Why couldn't his clans scent just get off his stupid pelt already? He rolled his eyes at the chatter between cats he heard. In all honesty, he despised the gatherings. They were alwasy so stuffy and dragged on far too long. Following his family was always the only reason he really ever showed up anywhere; who would the poor tom be without his creepy habbits? Lowering his head and ears in defeat, the soldier slowly made his way over to his younger brother, calling his name. "Wolfpaw."
Little did they know, this would be WaterClan’s last gathering before something horrific happened. Violetstar, entirely unaware of the plots that weee transpiring about her clan, walked with her head held high. It would be a rather drastic change compared to the moons to come, the torture she would endure.
Her pawsteps were light as the prideful leader walked through the crowd and to the gathering area designated to the higher ranks of the clans. Violetstar didn’t do anything but grace them with a small glance, settling herself a slight bit away from the other leaders, eyes staring straight forward.
Wolfpaw was sitting on the edge of the gathering place, far enough from the rest of the cats to have his own space but not far enough to where he couldn't hear their distant conversations. As Roaringsun approached him, Wolfpaw let out a sigh. There goes his solitude. "What's up?"
"Who names their kit Chickpea?" Came a voice, and a silver tabby she-cat stepped towards Pumpkinpaw and the weird stranger. "That's like, really sad." Glacierpaw giggled.
Valleystar watched as Violetstar approached the leaders, seemingly quiet. She didn't pay attention to any of the others; she was completely closed-off. Valleystar wondered what made her this way, and chose to approach her, saying the first thing that comes to mind, "You smell like fish. Fish is considered a delicacy in WinterClan, one that I enjoy immensely."
WINTERCLAN Diamondheart couldn't help but let out a loud belly laugh as soon as she heard Valleystars blatant statement to the foriegner. There we go! That's the Valleystar she knew!
Moonbound Roaringsun shrugged as he took a seat next to his kin. "I feel like I made a mistake by coming here." He confessed to his brother with a deep sigh and an everconstantly lowered head. "Have you seen Blizzardglow? I lost her in the patrol here."
FALLCLAN Moonbound @blankslate Pumpkinpaw gave the newcomer a slight scowel at her comment. "Hey! That's so rude! Some groups just have differen't names than us, y'know!" She wiggled her nose at Glacierpaw. The apprentice stunk of WinterClan, a scent she hadn't smelled in a long while.
NightClan Burningstar normally didn't like to be late, but given all that had transpired. The earthquake, the loss of NightClan's camp, Kerrigan's death, avenging it, moving NightClan to a temporary residence to the area by the waterfall. Burningstar felt like she'd barely slept.
But she wasn't about to show any such weakness as she stalked into the gathering head held high. Fur groomed perfectly. Some of her cats looked a bit haggard, but Burningstar was not going to look anything less than poised.
Her eyes narrowed looking to see if BrookClan had arrived, and who had replaced Tasman as the tsar. But she couldn't immediately see BrookClan. So she flicked her tail signaling to NightClan to disperse throughout the crowd before she padded over to the other leaders.
"Good evening Violetstar, Thrushstar," She paused on Valleystar, she smelled of WinterClan so Burningstar presumed she was the new WinterClan leader. "I'm afraid I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting personally, I'm Burningstar, and you are?"
Larkwing joined Burningstar with the other leaders. He had always gone off on his own and sat alone, however, this time he felt like stay close to Burningstar. Especially after everything that had happened in the passed moon. Larkwing was exhausted but he, too, decided not to show any kind of weakness and held himself tall as he sat among the other leaders. He eyed Valleystar closely. He had never seen her before and assumed she was new; and by the smell of it, she was Winterclan. She must be the new leader. As he noted her features and engraved her into his memory, he also noticed how strong she was. She wasn't one to be messed with, that was for sure. Her gaze was icy and a little intimidating.
Moonboundindy "I like my name, but I suppose it is a little different." He replied with an easy little giggle. Turning to Pumpkinpaw and grinning widely, "I am from one of those 'loner-type' groups as you call it." He purred, unable to keep the amusement off his features. "Perhaps that's why my mother named me Chickpea, it's a different sort of place than you clans." The tag on was delivered gracefully, tone still easy and grin still present. "What are your names?"
A cat was directly speaking to her? Violetstar turned slightly, her out-of-Place purple hued eyes gazing now at Valleystar. A cat whom she’d never seen nor met, obviously a new leader. WinterClan had been absent for some time, she curiously wondered why, but felt no need to ask.
She felt slightly taken aback that the cat had commented on her smell, but decided not to respond right away, as another leader was now speaking to her. “Hello.” Violetstar responded, glancing between the two, feeling a little awkward as she attempted to figure out how to respond to the previous compliment.
(Don't forget to say which clan your cat is from! We do have fourteen clans so it's hard to keep up xD)
DAYCLAN
@specklepelt
DayClan had been thirty days and twelve hours sober from violence. This was a big deal and as such they decided to celebrate! It had been about an hour into the night of feasting on various assortments of prey when someone looked up at the sky and asked, Hey, isn't that a full moon? Now DayClan came barreling towards the gathering before stopping six fox lengths away to catch their breaths and slowly walked in like their lungs didn't ache and paws weren't tired from running. Then again DayClan's territory was field land so maybe it was just Glowstar who was winded.
Glowstar sat down next to Diamondheart as though she were a cat she just knew her whole life. Her shoulders still heaved from running so much, "Hey, I've been here the whole time," Glowstar said with such a sincerity it could make any cat think twice about if she really was late. She was tall with a body like an hourglass and a carefully trained perfection in muscle tone. Her fur was a sea of bombshell auburn, vanilla cream colors lapping up against her pelt with a stunning emerald gaze.
Duskpaw had been dying to go to a gathering, but SunClan apprentices weren't allowed to so he decided to go with his mom in DayClan so he would be allowed to. At first he felt a tingling nervous excitement, but soon he realized that these were all grownup conversations. Where were the apprentices? He suddenly noticed Pumpkinpaw, she sounded young enough to be his age and padded over looking between the people she was previously speaking to, "Hey I'm Duskpaw, but you can call me Dusky."
WINTERCLAN
Mistyveil walked in with her son Windyhurricane rushing by her with an ocean of sticks, leaves, feathers, and who knows what else caught in his grey messy fur. Windyhurricane's head shot in all directions as he looked for the SummerClan warrior.
Mistyveil brushed her fur gently with her paw, smoothing out the edges that had been gusted upwards by Windy. She walked up beside Valleystar who had been speaking with Violetstar, what a treat. Her half golden, half Russian blue body seemed darker at night, now more grey and ginger looking, but her eyes pierced with icy blues and turquoise hues just as sharp as any day. She didn't say anything, but simply stood beside her leader now that she had a leader that wasn't a complete lunatic like the past toms had been. No offense to them.
NIGHTCLAN
"OHHHH! MY. FIRST. GATHEEEERING! Do you think anyone will know it's my first gathering? Maybe I should play it coooool," Raspberrypaw said smoothly.
"Uh. Yeah. Maybe play it cool. I'm sure no one heard that outburst," Ericanorth said padding past the apprentice deciding that even if she was in her clan, she didn't want to be associated or at least not responsible for her.
WinterClan Mysterypaw who had been looking around noticed Raspberrypaw running into the gathering area and her speaking loudly. The fluffy large black she cat blinked her green eyes and tilted her head. "You know." She said coming up to Raspberrypaw, it's likely to be hard to play it cool when you came in like a barking fox." The new winterclan apprentice pointed out.
Crimsonrose sat back the scarred ginger she cat watching her daughter with amusement as she looked around to see if there was anyone she was interested in speaking with.
NightClan Skypaw was overwhelmed by all the different scents. So many different cats! So many different clans! Raspberrypaw had already bolted ahead so she couldn't stick with her. But who could she stick by? She opened her mouth scenting the air to try and gravitate back towards her fellow NightClan cats.
FallClan Softpelt padded towards the medicine cats to join them, looking around. She was still brand new and wasn't familiar with all the other medicine cats yet.
WINTERCLAN NightClan and DayClans scents were foriegn to the new Crowned. She had only ever intereacted with her direct neighbors in her only moon in her new title, though she was already well aware there were other clans that shared their forests. Glowstars foreign smell flooded her nostrils as the DayClan leader seemed to just suddenly appear before the tuxedo molly. Diamondheart couldn't help but let out another laugh. The forest cat had always wished she had been born as a clan cat rather than her true origins, and thinking about all the past gatherings she had already missed in her lifetime just made that wish stronger.
Faith "Enjoying the night so far?" The molly mused to the foreigner next to her. "I apologize if I don't recognize your scent; I'm still getting used to my own neighbors markers." She ened with a slight chuckle, jade eyes studying her new companion closely.
FALLCLAN Faith @blankslate "Yay! More new friends~" Pumpkinpaw sang as the SunClan apprentice introduced himself to the small circle. "Nice to meet you, Duskpaw! May name's Pumpkinpaw~ Hey! Chickpea! Do you have any nicknames? Mind if I call you Pea? What group are you from? Are you one of those tunnel cats?" Her lyrical voice reeked of innocence and naivety; if it wasn't aparent in her asking a complete stranger, yet new friend in her eyes, if he nickname not even a minute after meeting him, or the lack of knowledge she had of the world, or her bombarding the vaguely older tom with questions.
WATERCLAN Juniperpaw followed her leader closely into the large clearing. Though she was a little older this time, that didn't make her any less nervous as the previous moon. The still very new medicine cat apprentice stood close behind Violetstar and followed her into the inner circle of leaders and deputies. It may not be where she blongs right now, but it will be eventually, and Violetstars presence was ever so calming to the young blue apprentice.
NightClan Faithindy @blankslate Skypaw's ears swiveled in that direction of a cat named Pumpkinpaw introducing himself to a Duskpaw and a Chickpea? Curious the blind apprentice made her way over to these strange voices. "Um, hello" she said sitting herself down near them. Her sightless eyes angled towards the ground. "Mind if I join you?" She asked.
