"Galaxypaw!" He called to his daughter and apprentice, waiting for her to meet him outside of the den. He had been extra cautious of coddling her too much since she was his daughter but he knew that by pushing her she could become a warrior he would be proud of and -most importantly- that she could be proud of.
Hurrying from the apprentices den, still sleep mussed with bleary eyes, the young she-cat blinked repeatedly and shook her head, barely stifling a yawn. “Okay, papa, okay! I’m up!” She cleared her throat, bringing herself to stand at attention in front of her mentor. “I mean, er, Daggerjuggler.” She grinned at him.

He smiled at his daughter, pride filling his eyes. "Look at you all grown up. I guess you're too old to be calling me papa, huh?" He let out a noise that was like a fake sob before grinning. "Come on, let's get out there before your brothers and sister catch all the good mice."
