Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"So I need you to take them out on a tour." Storypaw shook his head as he moved towards the orphans den. Still unsure how he had gotten roped into this duty but feeling it was just bad luck. Him being one of the first cats Eternalstar saw. The toms pelt already shaded with grays and blacks blended into the dark shadows cast around the orphans small den; jammed between the medicine cat and leaders den as it was. Bright blue eyes peered inside as he looked for the pair of sisters. "Obsidian-ete, Quartz-ete?" He called softly. Using the ridiculous suffixes Eternalstar gifted to the orphans in case anyone was around to hear.. Though he knew none of the orphans used their suffixes, often just going by their prefix.
Obsidian lifted her head, lancing over at her snoring sister. She nudged the white kitten awake, standing on black paws. “Um. Yes?” In her eyes it had been a gift to get away from her mother and father; Quartz didn’t feel the same way. She still cried herself to sleep each night.
"Eternalstar asked me to take you on a tour of the territory. But if you're not feeling up to it I can make up an excuse?" Storypaw asked as he watched the pair curiously. He was often picked as the more virtuous of himself and his brother Trickstersfable. But in truth Storypaw held just the same scheming and deceitful heart, but was more subtle about it. Less obsessive with his personality, easily moving on from one thing to the next at the first mere hint of boredom.
The black orphan’s eyes grew bright. “No, we’re good,” she quickly interjected, successfully cutting off her sister mid-gape before she could protest. She nudged the she-cat a little harder this time and Quartz got up with a whine and grumble, shaking out her white fur.
"Who knows. I guess it depends how in depth you want me to be..." He responded as he stepped back to give them space to step out of the den and into the clearing. He wasn't a mentor, in fact he thought he was going to make a very poor teacher. But he supposed so far the pair of sisters didn't seem too bad. Quartz seemed a little grumpy, but perhaps she was just a night owl. "Do you want to just walk the borders or to you want to go to all the landmarks. Like the cherry blossoms, or the japanese garden?"
Obsidian’s eyes grew round in awe. She didn’t know what any of that looked like but it sounded amazing. “I’d love an in depth tour. I bet it’s beautiful.”
Quartz resisted a sigh. But her bed was so soft...
Storypaw smiled at Obsidian, deciding that perhaps this tour wouldn't be half bad when the younger cat was obviously so enchanted by the idea of touring the territory. "Come on then, I'll take you to the garden. We have to go through the cherry blossoms to get there anyway." He bounded forward a couple steps, then waited for the two to emerge. Having an assumption that it might perhaps take Obsidian a moment to get Quartz moving.
