Swiftstorm reached the Moon Creek after some careful evasion and stealth along with Elmwhisker, Beaconpaw, Ruepaw, and Silvershine. He had finally come to claim his lives.
"Thank you all for coming. Please, Beaconpaw and Silvershine, stand guard while I do this." He nodded to Elmwhisker as he dipped his head down and drank from the creek.
He was suddenly in the misty, starry place where he was greeted by Avatea.
"Hello Swiftstorm, Elmwhisker. Are you ready?"

Elmwhisker dipped his head to the Moon God whom greeted them before glancing at Swiftstorm. He was eager to see Swiftstorm receive the lives he finally deserved. MoonClan had been through tough times lately but he hoped they'd soon be over.
A small calico she-cat stood not far behind the Moon God clearly waiting for things to start. Stars in her fur and around her paws made it known she was from StarClan even if MoonClan had technically abandoned their belief in StarClan. Her striking turquoise blue eyes shared among only a small number of cats in the clan also marked her as the progenitor of one of MoonClan's longest blood lines and the great-grandmother of the clan's soon to be current deputy. Formerly known by her warrior name Moonshimmer, after stepping down from leadership duties due to a severe illness, now reverted back to her leader name of Moonstar now that she was a member of StarClan.
(Hey Poppy we should do some kind of roleplay with Moonstar and her kits and Lightningstrike. There's still a few people around that used to play her kits. We could maybe include the living member somehow)
Silvershine nodded respectfully to her soon-to-be leader and turned to stand guard with Beaconpaw. She had time to think what it must be like to visit the after life.
A tall slender she cat was sitting off to the side of Moonstar. Her fur was a very dark grey and her eyes a pale green. While it had been many moons since Darkstar stood at the head of MoonClan, the she cat had not lost the regal air that had always surrounded her. Even now that they had abandoned their belief in StarClan, she continued to watch over the clan that she loved so much. This was why she was here today to give MoonClan's newest leader one of his nine lives.
On the opposite side of the StarClan cats sat those who'd worshiped the Moon God in life. Jynxlaughter was one of the first to step forward beside the great being. The tom had only been dead for a short time, but he was willing to give back to the clan that would continue to stand beside his family. He just hoped that Spookbat could forgive him for passing so soon before she was done needing him. His poor daughter had been through enough before he died, but he'd do it again if it meant keeping her safe.
Lureluster, now a faded brown she-cat with stars embedded in her fur, stumbled into the clearing. Luckily she wasn't late. She remembered MoonClan, how she had grown into an adult there. She doubted her murder caused anyone to grieve, as she was not a social butterfly within her ranks. However, she was glad to be able to give a contribution to the future of the clan.
Beaconpaw nodded her head to her soon-to-be Leader and sat on the opposite of Silvershine, her eyes, and ears alert for any sound or smell that would or could disturb the ceremony.

Off to the side, sat a particularly opaque feline for the dead, her pelt full and bright, almost as though she were alive. Asphodel, in her life in MoonClan, had been a rather isolated feline, the sort of cat who kept her head down and usually made no problems. Perhaps she was a touch temperamental, at times, but she'd always seemed to hold her tongue and kept it to herself. She would have faded away into the background, remembered by few to none, if not for Foxstar's arrival. That had forced the she-cat to act, an action that had cost her her life as a result. Even so, she wouldn't have changed her decision to expose Foxstar's traitorous actions. MoonClan knew her nature, now better than ever, and that made it worth it. She only regretted not being able to say goodbye to all her kits.
In death, the she-cat seemed so much more vibrant than before, head held high, a dangerous sort of fire to her day blue eyes. Daylight didn't step forward, not yet, allowing Swiftstorm a moment to get his bearings before she would rise to greet him.
Greenlight sat far back. Her green eyes almost glowing against her starry gray and silver tabby pelt. She was not well known amongst the MoonClan cats of today, having been from generations before now, and like Asphodel being a cat who kept to herself.
She had once gone to NightClan, led astray by her heart and foolish desire for a tom within that clan. She eventually returned to MoonClan, but knowing that the clan she'd left kin behind in had caused her home such pain brought her great sorrow. She hoped today she would be allowed to make further amends for her old guilt.
Lightningstrike sat beside his mate, Moonstar, his gaze scanned around the gathered MoonClan ancestors, his striking red pelt filled with stars, a tell tale sign he belonged to StarClan.

Elmwhisker stood silently beside Swiftstorm, despite the fact that he visited with their ancestors often he was always taken aback every time. He had never attended a nine lives ceremony before, so he intrigued about the process.
(Just so you know Moonstar wasn't the first leader of MoonClan or anything. I was just not very creative when it came to naming cats when I was twelve lol. Though I think she might be the oldest cat there except for maybe Lightningstrike who is also her mate)
When Avatea beckoned for her to step forward, the small calico rose to her paws and approached Swiftstorm. She had kept an eye on her beloved clan over the many years since she had passed onto StarClan and had seen many leaders come and go, most good and a few not so good. She liked the look of this newest leader candidate and this would be the first time she granted a new leader a life. While she might be a little biased about her family, she thought his choice in deputy would be a good one.
"Greetings." She said formally. "I am Moonstar, once known as Moonshimmer. I lead the clan many many moons ago, long before you were born. Towards the end of my leadership but not the end of my life I found out I was terminally sick so I decided to put my Clan first and stepped aside to let Brackenstar take the lead instead of leaving the clan to deal with a sick leader who could die at any time." she introduced herself. "I am also the great-grandmother of Phoenixblaze, the she-cat you have chosen to be your deputy."
"With this life I give you perseverance to press forward through all challenges and never back down. Always look out for your clan and never give up." She pressed her nose to the tom's forehead
Lureluster awaited her turn, listening patiently to Moonstar's words. What was she going to say for sacrifice? She had once lived a life, that was quickly ended defending her clan. Perhaps it would be about perseverance, and putting your life before others.. as that is what a leader should do.
