Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Illustriouskit allowed a yawn to rip open her maw, the entirety of her small body shaking with the force of said yawn. She was tired, that was a fact, but was she going to go to sleep? No. She needed to do something to occupy her mind, she was so unbelievably bored. She sighed and looked around the nursery, looking for someone to pester.
With sunset bleeding into darkness at horizon's rim it was only sensible that most kittens around were heading to bed, being shuffled to their nests by queens who were both tired and quick to get a half-hour of alone time before they themselves collapsed from exhaustion. Some kits were snuggled in their nest, other evading capture as weary mothers searched and called for the hellions of their litter, while other litters were being lulled by stories or old songs that had been kept alive in the same way for generations. It was the general ruckus right before the quiet of night, the dark like an anesthesia for the little bubble of the nursery. Outside the den there would be further on-goings for an hour or so - the adult world continued on much longer, responsibilities and late-night gossip to settle nerves after a long day of hunting and patrolling - but in the carefree innocence of the nursery in was time to sleep.
Unfortunately, it was for that reason that Mindlesskit, much like Illustriouskit, was still awake. Being adopted in by the clan leader was more often a blessing, but at times like this stood as an inconvenience. The hours their mother had to keep as the head authority were longer, and as a result Mindlesskit had gotten use to the typical long hours, not content to go to bed until everyone had settled in together. Still, he was no less drowsy, and as an attempt to keep himself awake he sat leaning against one of the nursery walls, peering out at the darkness dyeing the sky a purplish hue, as if the blue had been bruised in the war against the dying light.
Half-awake and on the verge of falling asleep right were he was, Mindlesskit was completely unaware of his sister looking for someone to bother so nearby.
Noxiouskit was nestled amongst his own siblings sleeping. His green eyes cracked open as the soft snores from Toadkit woke him up. The tom kit grumpily covered his ears with his paws.
Frostkit laid among her siblings. The small silver tabby she-kit was very much wide awake. Her large amber eyes scanned the darkness of the nursery hoping to stir up some trouble or find a playmate.
Toadkit's loud snoring caused Illustriouskit's ear to twitch with annoyance. Another sigh left her leathery lips. As she gazed around the nursery, she caught sight of her siblings, Noxiouskit and Mindlesskit, and then Frostkit. Deciding it would be best to leave her siblings alone, the molly lifted herself to her paws and trotted over to Frostkit, regarding the she-kit with a curious stare. "Hello," She mewed, the white feline coming to sit against her haunches, dark amber eyes boring into Frostkit's silver tabby pelt.
