Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Stagstumble padded into camp with a wide grin across his pale, cream colored face. A rabbit, plum as can be, was clutched in his jaws as he struggled to keep it from dragging on the ground. It wasn't until he deposited his catch on the fresh-kill pile that he was allowed to catch his breath, which he'd been struggling with the entire way. And to think, he still had a few more kills burried back out in the forest. But the cream colored tom allowed himself to relax for a bit, wanting to catch his breath before he returned for the rest. Galaxyripple had been right; exorcising and pushing himself had definitely helped with his stamina and lame paw.
"Nice catch!" Fearfelicity commented. She has a small bird in her mouth. She sat next to the tom and began picking at her meal. "What happened to your paw?" she asked.
He glanced up as she she-cat approached, beaming with delight from ear to ear at the praise. He'd always been more use as a Medicine Cat, but he was starting to adapt to Clan life and being a Warrior. "Thanks!" he chirped happily, before pausing at her question. Bringing his eyes down to lift up his paw and examine it, he laughed minutely. "This? I was born with it, sadly. I never thought I'd be able to actually be a Warrior with it either but... I guess I'm doing alright."
The creamy-colored she-cat nodded. "Obviously you're doing fantastic. I don't think I've ever caught anything that big!" she exclaimed excitedly. She thought to ask him for advice sometime.
He laughed heartily, shaking his head and surveying the Rabbit again before sitting down and giving his stump tail a little wiggle of appreciation. "It was mostly just luck; probably too plump to run as fast as the other hares," he said with a small shrug, not used to much praise given by others. Swiveling his pale, stormy gaze back to the she-cat he smiled a bit widely and added, "You wanna go to the rabbit warrens with me? I have some more prey buried out there, and it might be a bit fun."
The tom beamed widely, his smile stretching across his face gleefully as he began to pad at a limp towards the camp entrance. "We can head over to the Warren, then. That way if we do catch anything, we'll be able to take it back with the rest of my catches," he invited with a small tilt of his head.
The brown she-cat nodded excitedly. "I can carry all kinds of stuff." he finished off her meal and stood. Brushing a quick paw over her ears, she continued. "I don't think I've ever seen this warren. Where is it on the territory?" she asked with bright eyes.
Padding along, the creamy white and black marked tom frowned only slightly at her question. What was it closest to? With a start he said, "It's right past the Firefly Meadow. There's also an abandoned Windmill a bit further ahead of the Warren, but the only thing that old Twoleg Den is good for is hunting mice and napping," Stagstumble said with a small smile as he glanced at the she-cat. "I like the Warren the best, though. There's plenty of open space, and hills, and rabbits to chase. Not that I'm particularly good at hunting rabbits, but... I try," he added with a small chuckle.
She smiled back. She loved being out the open, she could never imagine being anywhere else. "I love napping. Though, sometimes it makes me late for things." she said with a laugh. "Rabbits are really fast, I don't blame you; especially with your paw. I can barely catch up to them. Honestly, I don't even think I've ever caught one!"
"Never?" he said in surprise, before adding with a chuckle and a twinkle of amusement in his eyes, "I've caught a few in my time; its hard to pass up any chances when your a Senior Warrior." His stumpy tail waggling as they padded along, he scanned the forest and turned their direction towards where he knew the rabbits would be. "Soon enough we'll be able to see some hills rising up through the trees."
Fearfelicity nodded thoughtfully. "So you must know the territory well?" she asked. She has been apart of FallClan for all of her life, however she didn't find herself within the forest very much. She much preferred duties in camp or close to it.
He twitched his ear thoughtfully, glancing up at the clouds as he walked before fixing them back upon the path before them. "I've definitely been in FallClan my entire life. I have some SummerClan blood; but my home and my family is here," the tom said. "Metaphorically speaking of course. The entire Clan is my family now."
He sighed a bit wistfully, let his paws slip among the leaves and caress the grass gently. His mind wandered around their surroundings now; the warm sun beating against his back. The fluffy clouds floating along lazily in the air. Closing his pale eyes for a moment, the cream colored tom took a moment to appreciate everything for just a moment, before giving a small flick of his stumpy tail. "When you get to being called a 'Senior Warrior' you start to realize whats most important. I thought my family was the entire world; and I was distraught when my parents passed away. But I never actually took the time to consider that my family had already been around me."
Fearfelicity nodded thoughtfully. "I don't know much about my family. I barely remember being a kit." she said with a laugh. "Now that I think about it, I hardly remember my mother or father. I know they were pretty old when my mother was pregnant with my litter." she thought back to the past, where her siblings decided to adventure through the territory and never came back. She wondered if they had survived, or moved on. "It seems to be a thing to mingle with other Clan cats right now," she said, padding forward. "I'd prefer to stay with who I know."
He listened while his eyes fixed themselves upon the path in front of him, his chest swelling with emotion as he thought of his parents. Of his past, when he had been much younger. "Yeah. Love makes you do stupid stuff, I guess. And apparently when it happens, there isn't really any stopping it either," he said, laughing in an almost resenting sort of way. Unrequited was especially one of the worst. Waggling his stumpy tail, the creamy white colored tom gave a small shrug. "I don't know. FallClan is, and will always be my home, unless something major happens. Y'know, like what happened with SpringClan and everything..."
Fearfelicity padded slowly after him, welcoming the cool shade the ferns and trees gave them. It felt like the forest was trying to comfort them both. She decided to stay silent until they reached stale scent of rabbit. She didn't know where the warren was, but she felt like it was nearby. She flicked her tail and whispered over to Stagstumble, "Are we close?"
