Juniperkit bounced as she made her way over to the medicine cat den. Goldrush asked for her personally, and she loved spending time with him learning all the different herbs. Her gold eyes brightened as she saw the tall brown tom. She brushed against him and purred in greeting. "Goodmorning! You wanted to meet with me?" Juniperkits eyes beamed as she spoke, her voice full of cheer.

"Aw Juniperkit." he purred as the young kit "Yes yes come in. I think its time you ventured out of the camp. How would you like to help me with some herb collecting?" The multi earth toned tom blinked golden flecked eyes.
"Herb collecting? Like I can leave camp with you?" Her smile grew bigger with every word she spoke. Juniperkit hadn't been outside camp since joined the clan, barely taking in the whole world as a small kit. With her first time outside being with Goldrush, it just made her squeal with excitement! "Yes! Yes! I can't wait!"

"Well come along then. Don't leave my side left the tree spirits eat you." he teased as he padded leisurely towards the entrance to camp. "The roots can be a bit winding so watch your step."
She nodded, following closely behind the medicine cat. "Where are we going to go? Can we find some catmint? Or can we look for more aloe? Oh! Can we find an herb thats exclusive to WaterClan?" Juniperkit felt herself overwhelmed with joy. It had been a while since she joined the Clan, now only a couple moons from becoming an apprentice.

"Aw so you have done some research have you?" the tom purred as he padded along softly. No real hurry to his steps. "I do need more catmint and some borage. Im sure we could look for some more WaterClan specific herbs as well. See what you can spot as we walk."
She nodded her head vigorously. "Yes! I have! It helps that I have such a great teacher~" The blue kit purred as she lightly brushed against the medicine cat. "Where can we find catmint? Doesn't it grow near water?"

"Indeed. But can always be found away from water but in cool places." He purred as she brushed against him and a little surge of protective nature sparked in his chest. "Where are some cool places away from water you think? What should we be looking for?"
She paused for a moment, folding her ears down in thought. "Something cool away from the water..." She closed her eyes to try and visualize the herbs she knew in her head. "Could it be... Borage?" Juniperkit remembered Goldrush mentioned he needed borage leaves before, and she knew that borage was usually found deeper into the forest. "Are we getting borage leaves and roots first?"

"Sure we could find that as well." he chuckled. "But I mean what are some places other than streams that are cool and damp places? I'll give you an example, how about a hollowed tree? That's cool and damp."
(he protecc!! make sure shes safe) "OOOOHHHH." She smiled lightly and felt her fur warm from embarrassment. "Well, that's easy! We can go to a hollowed tree or we can look at a shore too." She nodded her head as if she had found the perfect answer.

"Yes indeed. Would you like to try to find the shore for us?" He new he wasn't this small cats mentor but if today went well and starclan was right she might as well be. He turned to give her an encouraging smile. "Scent the air and find the thick salty water." he purred.
