Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was odd to think that she of all cats was expecting kits. Twilightbell was young, not apprentice aged, but she was still barely over twelve moons old. Of course she hadn't told anyone else in SunClan yet, but she was sure they would begin to guess soon. At first she had thought ignoring it would solve her problems, but that had been a foolish notion. Now that she was beginning to grow, it was becoming painfully noticeable. For now, she planned on keeping her secret, at least until she figured out what she was going to tell everyone concerning who the father was. She sighed quietly as she slipped out of the camp, intending on taking a walk to try and sort through her troubled thoughts.
As the clan's healer and a new queen herself, it hadn't taken Littlebird to figure out Twilightbell's secret. The signs of pregnancy were easy to pick out once you were trained to do so, though she doubted most of the rest of the clan knew about. Littlebird was also very young and very small, which had lead her to having a very difficult kitting. She had lost most of her litter, with only two kits having made it to this point. She looked even smaller than normal, her face sunken in, her gray coat dull due to the nutrients that her kits took from her each day.
Yet she didn't regret her kits. Not for a moment. No matter how they had come about, she didn't regret having them. They were her world, her everything. She rarely left the den she shared with Foxstar, but today her sister in law had offered to baby sit, and she hadn't spoken with Twlightbell in a while. Seeing her sneaking out camp, lead her to follow.
Risingshine had just begun her usual stroll down to the waterlogged ruins. The golden she-cat had made it halfway before she began to hear the rustles of others, and quickly hid in the brush. Though she knew the chance of outsiders was slim this deep into the territory, she hoped if it was a big enough animal it could make a good meal. When she saw Twilightbelle instead, her excitement became replaced with curiosity. Instead of jumping out and scaring the poor young she-cat, Risingshine slipped behind her and lightly brushed her body against Twlightbelts black pelt. "Something troubling you?" She purred lightly. Being a mother herself, it was easy for the older cat to notice her juniors worries. She had been there once before, and to counsol another would be her honor.
Twilightbell paused when she heard Risingshine. She had heard someone following her from behind as well, but they had come from the camp so she wasn't all that worried about it. Instead, she turned her orange gaze on Risingshine and leaned in close so that she could at least make out the shadow of her clanmate with what little eyesight she had. "Troubling me?" She forced a smile and shook her head. "No...I was just thinking on something honestly so I thought I would take a walk to clear my mind." There was no way the young soothsayer promised was going to tell the truth. She couldn't since she knew no one in the clan would possibly understand the choices she had made.
"Are you going that way?" Risingshine flicked her tail towards the ruins. "Because I am as well. Would you like to join me?" She invited the young black she-cat. "It must be awfully stressful having to worry about your training all day." She mewed warmly to the soothsayer promised.
While she honestly wanted to refuse, she knew that would seem rude so she smiled and nodded. "I suppose a bit of company wouldn't hurt. Training really isn't all that bad though. I enjoy learning everything I can from Dragonswrath."
Overhearing the conversation, Littlebird decided just to speak with the young she-cat at a later time. After all she didn't want to reveal her little secret to anyone else.
