DREAMS TO REMEMBER
For this plot, all cats are welcome to participate. This thread will have the first cat to suddenly pass out and experience terrible nightmares. Please, feel free to rp out your cats crazy dreams! The fun thing about these dreams is anything goes! Crazy animals and monsters, repeated deaths of characters, crazy cat colors, anything is fair game. You can simply reply with a single post about the dreams your cat is having below or get creative with each other. Maybe your cats dreams are connected and they are combating the nightmarish realm together? As I said, anything goes.

part I - THE BEGINNING
It started out small and relatively harmless. Nobody quite knows where the sickness came from or why it came. It is unlike anything to clan has ever seen for instead of plaguing their bodies, this sickness is of the mind. It starts with small, unsettling dreams, and then grew. Cats often find themselves unable to stay awake, falling into deep and terrifying slumbers. These slumbers are filled with a mix of reality and terror and many cats do not even realize they have fallen asleep. Few warriors are not affected by this terrible sickness but those who are are often scared of moving from their dens in case they fall asleep outside in Summerclan territory.
part II - THE CURE
Graythorn receives a dream from Starclan, revealing a strange plant which will cure the cats of Summerclan. Ravenstar, Tuskblood, and Graythorn each choose two cats to convene on a journey in search of this plant that will save the clan, guided by Starclan. All cats who have exhibited the mind sickness will begin living in a secluded area to avoid spreading it in case it is contagious. They learn quickly that separating the cats does nothing - whatever is affecting them is not through spreading it from one another.
Fear only grows as cats begin hallucinating - they no longer need to sleep. When one cat dies from the fear brought to them. In this paranoia, they are untrusting and skeptical of cats in nearby clans but keep this secret close to them in fear of the pride clans sensing any form of weakness. Tension begins to grow within the clan as cats begin to turn on each other and becoming untrusting of one another. Many cats sleep in small familial units but even those are beginning to crumble. Ravenstar does everything to try and keep her clan together but the fear and dreams have gripped her as well by this point.
part III - THE CHANGE
Finally, when the patrol returns a moon and a half later with the cure, cats begin to settle down but cats are still feeling frayed and scared which leads to great changes within the clan.
From this, Ravenstar begins to hold festivals and bonding events to bring her clan back together. It takes time, but the clan begins to heal and forms a bond stronger than ever. Through all of this, kits were not born the way they used to be and so Ravenstar encourages she-cats to have kits by allowing them extra prey and the rights to return to warrior duties immediately after the kits are weaned. Permanent queens to suckle and raise kits are highly encouraged and she assures the clan that those who choose this path will always be well cared for, respected, and looked to for council. She allows for the fathers or any other warriors to take on the duties of caring for the kits in the mean time. Additionally, any and all outsiders are welcomed to festivals and invited to join Summerclan as apprentices to train them into the ways of the warrior. Warrior names are not required, but encouraged from this point to help create a closeness and a feeling of camaraderie and Summerclan expands to include the Redwood in which cats sheltered at during the sickness and creates a new position known as the Redguards.
As you can see, a new roleplay position is being introduced with the conclusion of this plot!
This time around, the Redguards will be chosen based off of participation in the plot and general activity in the clan.
The Redguards do not have one purpose, but rather this is a group of elite and well rounded warriors who are meant for many different tasks. After everything going down with clans such as Sunclan, Brookclan, Nightclan, Dayclan, and Springclan where even Winterclan and Renegade Regime stepped in and with her clan weakened by sickness and hunger more than once, Ravenstar created the Redguards.
The Redguards operate under a Captain who leads special patrols out of Summerclan territory. They may be tasked with investigating rumors surrounding another clan, or possibly with exploring the rogue territories, finding new herbs, and many more possibilities. But, in particular, they are charged with finding and creating a secondary camp and making sure other creatures stay out. Watching clans pushed from their territories and after the hardship Summerclan has endure, Ravenstar refuses to let her clan suffer and be homeless again. Many of these cats can be found outside of Summerclan territory and any cat can become a part of the Redguard so long as they have trained and sworn loyalty with Summerclan. It is recommended these cats do not have kits but ultimately the choice belongs to them.

At least one cat will die of the sickess. This mind sickness has driven these cats so far that their fear causes their hearts to stop.

for those who are interested in having a Redguard, this is the best way. This is sort of a "tryout" for the position, however it is not required and anyone can sign up to participate in the patrol. The Redguard Captain will be chosen from this patrol. You may choose to have your characters die or return safely.
