Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He was old, old as dirt and he knew it. The tom had seen much in his time in his life. Death, love, mercy, kindness, forgiveness, acceptance. And yet, this was the final stepping stone for him. The last phase he must pass through. Oh, it would cause his family heartache, and may even crush their spirits for some time but they would prosper just as they always had. They'd done it plenty of times before.
He started his life as Eclipse of the Dawning Sky and would end it as Ecplise of BrookClan.
His tribe had been stubborn and had fallen. Eclipse and his sister, Solar Sun that Reigns Down or Solar, had traveled many moons and lived many lives until they parted ways. She had lived her life as a kittypet, and he was sure had passed by now or wouldn't be far behind him. From there he'd found love in Rose, and lost her all in a few short moons. He raised Sun and lost her as well. Each time had destroyed him and yet he prospered and moved on. Eclipse raised his grandchildren and watched yet another pass before she'd ever even become a part of BrookClan. Sunrise was with her mother, grandmother, and great-aunt.
It was amazing to him to see how these clans worked and how the struggled. How they too prospered when all seemed lost. It was why he'd chosen to call BrookClaa home, to go by Eclipse and be the clan's elder who'd traveled across the lands to find a new home when his had been lost. He told stories, babysat the kits for the queens, and witnessed the formation of a new family. Midnightcomet had found love within this small world he called home, for that Eclipse could have rested peacefully. To know that his grandchildren would be taken care of here, would find happiness here was enough for him.
But then he'd been blessed with more time and watched the birthing of a new generation, his great-grandkits. He sat now, watching them play before him, glad that the whole family was around for once even if most of them weren't his grandchildren or great-grandchildren by blood.

(so I may have read this wrong and if that is the case then I will rewrite cx)
Pearlypaw watched him with curiosity as he observed the others. Eclipse was almost a mystery to the acecoop. She had been adopted into their family and they treated her as one of their own. Her eyes drifted towards Smallfire and she smiled. While chaos riddled the young cat's life, she couldn't help but feel blessed to be adopted by the small warrior and her gracious family. The white and ginger she-cat rose to her paws and padded over to Eclipse. "How are you feeling?" She asked gently, knowing he would be on his last wind fairly soon but not realizing how soon.
(Well he's dying but I didn't think everyone knew the family background so I was kind of using this to help tie that in as well if that makes sense, currently he's just chilling in the camp during his last day or so depending on how we wanna go about it I'm pretty flexiable with it but he hasn't told anyone that he knows his time is coming he's old so he just has a feel for these things hope that makes more sense)
