While out hunting, Ravenmask smelled something unusual. It wasn't anything he had smelled before and wondered if it was a dog. He knew what fox and badger both smelled like but this scent definitely wasn't either. Knowing he needed to find out what it was, the gray and black warrior began to cautiously follow the scent trail.
"Run!" Hazelmarsh screech, breaking through the bracken. The tom had been out hunting when he came across the dog. Fear had kept him from scooting up a tree, and fear drove him along. He knew he needed to scale and tree or turn and fight to protect his clanmates, he just knew he couldn't do it alone.

Ravenmask had to jump to one side to prevent being run into by his clanmate. Instantly he sprang after Hazelmarsh. He didn't need a second warning to know something was drastically wrong. His feet pounded the ground throwing dirt in his wake. When he was close enough, he said, "We need a plan!" He knew neither of them could keep up this breakneck pace for too long.
