Her observant peridot gaze watched him from afar. From way he carried himself to the cold expression he wore, he was interesting to her. Dinara glanced away, feeling a slight burn at her cheeks. Now was not the time to go fawning over one of the Dvorayne. Not to mention, her light-hearted personality and his more serious demeanor probably wouldn't mix. She felt a frown rise to her face momentarily at the disappointing thought. Oh well... Her eyes shifted over to the fresh-kill pile and zoned in on a good, fat mouse. Her belly rumbled in response to the sight. Her favorite food was calling her name on the breeze, it seemed. The black and white feline picked her way to the pile, eyes locked on the prize the whole time.

(He's Dvorayne, not Cyd, btw. c;)
Moments before she was able to pick the prey she was eyeing, the tom in question intercepted her, a large squirrel in his jaws. Now, Blazehowl did prefer fish, usually, but given the weather, the Dvorayne wasn't about to kill himself due to being picky. By luck, he'd gotten a decent squirrel, and thought to share it with someone. Having noticed Dinara's gaze, the tom had chosen her to share it with, intrigued by her staring, if nothing else. Besides, he recognized her, at least a bit. Tasman and Lakeveil had started to spend time together, and he'd found himself in Aylik's company on occasion as well, perhaps by chance, or more likely by fate, as the gray and white tom didn't strike him as the type to believe in coincidences, but to orchestrate them. "Would you like to share?" It wasn't often that Blazehowl spoke, then again, it wasn't often he was away from his sister either, so the day was already an odd one. The tom's voice was deep and seemed to reverberate through the earth, something dangerous in the words though they were barely even loud enough to rise to a conversational level as he invited her to join him.

She nearly jumped out of her fur as the tom just suddenly appeared in front of her with a dead animal in his jaws. As her eyes refocused to see the squirrel he clearly recently caught, she felt a rush of heat to her ears. She suddenly felt like a kit again, faced with their biggest crush. Words seemed to escape her lips, which was never common for the talkative cat. Dinara swallowed her flustered state and put on a look of ease. Luckily, she had mastered the way of masking her embarrassment. "That would be great. My stomach is howling right now." She purred, forcing her voice to stay level and smooth instead of squeaky. "You are Blazehowl, right?" She asked. Of course, she knew that, but she had to redeem herself in some way.

The corner of his mouth twitched ever so slightly at her heartbeat's hesitation before recovering. Usually he was the quiet one, not the one to stop others in their tracks, and the idea he'd made anyone pause, even for a second was a pleasant surprise. He didn't response immediately, waving her to follow him a short ways away, to a place a touch more secluded for them to speak. Sitting down where he chose, among the roots of a tree just slightly uphill of the usual gathering area, the tom set the prey down on the ground and raised his head to speak once more. "Indeed. And you're Dinara, correct?"

Dinara inwardly shook her head at herself for suddenly becoming so shy and awkward. As they made their way to the secluded spot, she tried to think through all of her words before sitting down. "Yes, that is right! I'm surprised you know who I am." She responded with a sarcastic smile. Of course everyone knew who the E'Claires were. They were only the most disliked family in all of Brookclan. Lucky for her, she had made a couple friends before the whole fiasco with Kerrigan happened. Her other siblings weren't quite as friendly as she was, though, especially her brothers.

"Who doesn't?" Blazehowl chuckled, "You've all caused quite a stir with your existence." Unlike many of the cats in BrookClan, however, he wasn't one of the ones who hated her. Why would he be here if that were the case? "Not that it's always a bad thing to be the center of attention." He mused, gaze focusing on her as though to make a point of her holding his attention.
But, onto a more serious note. "Are you doing well? I know life has not treated your family well... especially with recent events."

She felt another blush rise to her cheeks and burn hot at her ear-tips at his comment. Honestly, she had not expected him to be as charming as he looked. "I am glad to see that you don't seem to hold any crazy grudges against us." She commented lightly, proud of herself for making a little bit of normal conversation. She was relieved to know that his attention on her was not because he blamed her for Kerrigan's disappearance. It felt nice to be admired and not scorned.
She gave a little shrug at his question and her whiskers twitched with thought. "I am doing alright, but I worry about Tasman." She admitted. It was not usual for their family to be open about their circumstances and feelings, but she felt like Blazehowl could be trusted. Not to mention, it felt good to talk to someone about it. "I am probably the most relaxed out of us all, but I fear that she carries the brunt of our pain."

"Indeed, I suppose she would. You all seem to listen to her, unless I'm perceiving your family dynamics wrong. That alone is enough to put anyone at their wit's end." He agreed with the slightest of nods. "If any of you ever has need of anything, I'm sure Lakeveil or I could help." They were Dvorayne, if nothing else. That carried weight with the cats of BrookClan. It wasn't much of an offer, but the tom supposed it would be extended eventually, and of course, they had other skills as well, just not necessarily ones that were so obvious as theirs status.
