Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Streamwave : *I walked outside of the camp, hoping to find some food for the Clan, knowing that the Clan needed food, if it was gonna survive. So I left the camp at midnight and began my long hunt for food. I ended by the river and sat down to fish. I waited for only a few minutes when a small fish surfaced. I raised my paw and struck, swooping the fish onto the bank. I made a leap for it, and killed it. I left it there, so that I could catch more. After a a while I had caught 5 fish, and was now looking for some other sort of prey. I heard a croak and went to find the frog. I found it on a log and slowly went after it. only just getting it as it leaped into the air. I landed in the river, my claws in the frog, now dead. I lifted it out and placed on the pile. A few more hours of hunting I had enough to take back to camp. I put the prey in a basket that a Two-leg had left, after checking it out. I placed all my prey in it and grasped the basket, lifted it up and began to carry it back to camp.*
"Looks like you got quite the catch," came the tired voice of a feline ahead of Streamwave. By this point, the sun had just started to raise over the horizon, and light started to trickle in. This meant that Ottermystique had been up approximately ten minutes, which also meant that she was still groggy. However, it had been a habit every morning to go out on a solo patrol. It hadn't always been a solo mission; at one time, it had been the habit of Sandtail and Ottermystique together. After he died, though, it became something she did alone. Some had tried to warn her against it; it wasn't the most safe activity, but it helped her clear her head. "You must have been out all night?"
Streamwave : *I quickened my pace till I was next to her.* "Yeah, I was. I figured the Clan needed fresh-kill, so I stayed up and hunted." *I replied through the handle in my mouth.* "I'm gonna go out again and see if I can find more. We need all the prey we can find." *I put the basket down and let out a yawn before picking it up again*
Ottermystique nodded at her. She was right; as WaterClan recovered, it was important for them to remain fed. After all, a good meal was the only thing that would be sure to keep them from having a similar fate to their peers that didn't make it through Ripple Cough. "Perhaps we could hunt together? I was just leaving for a hunt." This was a lie, but Ottermystique was a social cat so it didn't appear to be one.
Streamwave : *I put the basket down.* "Sure! We can even use this basket that I found, near the river, to carry prey easier." *I said before I picked it up, my eyes shining brightly.
Although she wasn't necessarily keen on the idea of not just carrying her prey, Ottermystique was a cat of tradition, afterall, the look on her face didn't show it. It was warm and bright. "Perfect!" she replied with a twitch of her tail. "Should we empty it at the kill pile before we go out again?"
Streamwave : "Sure it's probably best to empty it first." *I replied giving her a warm smile. Before I went into the camp, put the prey on the pile, grabbed the basket and head back out to do some more hunting with Ottermystique.* "Ready?"
