His grey fur was fluffed up against the bitter cold and teeth chattered. Kellen was just about over leaf-bare. He much preferred the warm rays of the sun over the chilly air. The cheery tom made the best of every situation, though, so he was currently helping stock the older cat's nests full of feathers. It was hardly a job for one of the Cyds, yet he was not one to raise himself above others. Plus, they would never hear the end of it if they were even the slightest bit cold. He let out a massive yawn after they finished and brushed off his paws, sneezing as some of the feathers tickled his nose. He stood up and peered around to see what the rest of the clan was up to in this icky weather.
Cryptecho found herself shivering. This was not uncommon for her; after all, her body weight was significantly less than the average of her clan. She seemed to walk the border of alive and dead, her bones barely covered by skin and even less so by flesh. It made sense, then, that she would be cold. Most were so in the middle of winter. Still, though, she was dilligently focused on a task. Despite everything, the female always did her best to be at least moderately productive. That was saying a lot, particularly because as a dvoryanne, there wasn't necessarily anything particularly demanding her to do work. Still, her paws worked carefully at shaping the moss at her feet. She was making a toy for the podas, because, after all, she was sure they truly hated this weather, being cooped up the whole time...

As he searched around for a new task to occupy himself, Kellen caught sight of Cryptecho. She was certainly an intriguing cat... He wondered why she always looked so sullen? He watched her for a few more moments, completely confused by what she was doing. After he had given up on ideas, he made a silent resolve to be her best friend. Why not? Everyone needed a friend, and the creamy tom was getting tired of the same ol' royalty cats. Too many of them had their noses in the air. Placing the widest of grins on his maw, Kellen pranced up to the working she-cat. "Greetings! What are you making?" He questioned brightly, hoping to radiate some of his energy onto her.
