Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was odd to be here as a guest. She supposed it wasn't the first time she'd been in the SummerClan camp, but the last time she had been an ... unwelcomed guest. She supposed she was still an unwelcomed guest; she wasn't stupid, she could see the nervousness of the SummerClan cats when they looked at her. Many of the cats who had been in her original raid appeared to be gone, but that didn't mean that SummerClan had forgiven their oppressors. They weren't here as villains this time, though. She wasn't, at least not yet. She, and the cats that she had brought with her, were little more than refugees, at this point. Perhaps that had been exactly what she had been in SwiftClan, a refugee, a damned soul that no one else would take. Perhaps this was why Foxstar had accepted them into the clan's fold. Perhaps it was the conversation that she and her step-son had in private. We come in peace, so long as you let us stay. I promise, I'll keep them in line. If you reject us, though... she had murmured to him, her face unable to resist a smile. They're weak, disorganized, there's so few of them. They aren't a risk. I'll be on my best behavior, and so will they. The last time I tried anything in this... state, I learned my lesson. Promise.
She wasn't intending to lie to the boy, at least not yet. For now, she really had come with the trail of stragglers with the intention of being friendly. The NightClan cats - former NightClan cats? - weren't a threat. They were lost souls, souls who did need help. And herself? Her tail was nearly always wrapped around her stomach, protectively. She had learned her first time. She wouldn't make such a rookie mistake again. SummerClan was safe, for the time, and Foxstar knew that.
But, that didn't mean the others did. The she-cat let out a sigh, shaking her head. Perhaps the first step in demonstrating she wasn't an enemy was proving that she was a friend. Now was as good a time as any to prove it. Her mismatched gaze landed on the first cat she saw, and she stood to close the distance between the two. "Foxstar prefers that I don't leave the camp alone, but I could really use a walk. You know what they say, exercise is the best for my condition," she meowed, glancing down at her ever so slightly protruded side.
