Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He slammed his paws on the leaf, then rolled onto his back and batted it into the air. "Take that!" Hawkkit mewed, growing as ferocious as he could make it sound. Though, he didn't sound scary at all. He was a kit, anyways...
Foxstar padded over with a soft smile on his face. The last few days had been particularly stressful for the young leader, and it was nice to see a younger cat who wasn't quite as ... phased by the world as he was. He always missed the days of his own childish innocence, even if that meant that sometimes, he missed NightClan. He wouldn't say that out loud, though. Of course he wouldn't.
"Are ya winnin, kid?" he asked, a purr in his voice. "You've got a pretty lofty opponent, there, Hawkkit."
"eek!" He jolted, rolled to his paws in an instant and completely forgot about the leaf he'd been attacking. "Foxstar!" He mewed, shaking out his pelt quickly. "I.. I didn't hear you come up." He admitted, sheepishly, pawing the ground a little.
The tom let out a chuckle. "No worries, little dude. You were awful concentrated," he meowed with a grin. "Mind if I join ya? I've got a little bit of time free this afternoon and I was hoping to find someone to play with." It had been a while since he'd played a game, and honestly, being only a year and a half old, he was basically still just a boy himself.
His eyes lit up. This would be his chance to impress Foxstar! Don't mess this up, Hawkkit! "Yeah sure, I was bored anyways. What do you want to play? We can play SummerClan attacks WinterClan! Or or or ... we can play big huge badger attacks SummerClan camp!" He suggested, bouncing on his paws and his tail fluffing out in excitement.
Foxstar let out a purr as the kitten brought up the suggestions, a grin on the smaller tom's face. "The badger game would be fun! When I was an apprentice, my partner, Rosypaw, and I came face-to-face with a badger once. It was an afternoon I'll never forget," he meowed, his silver gaze bright. "It's been a while since I've played a game, you'll have to remind me how we start," he then meowed with a wink.
Foxstar's grin only grew - it wasn't often that he was called bigger than someone, and he couldn't help but feel slightly proud (he was scrappy, after all). "I can do that. I am awful scary, aren't I?" he purred, fluffing up his short coat slightly. "This'll be fun. Should I sneak up behind you or something?"
"You just have to do what.. what uh badgers do you know? Look big and scary and try to attack the camp! Then I'll swoop in and get yah!" He responded with a wiggle of his tail.
He nodded twice, offering an agreeing "Alright." He then turned to the entrance of the camp. He hid to the side for a few moments, mentally preparing himself for the role. And then, with a huff, he sent himself quickly out of the brush. His fur was puffed out, but he still was not that much larger than a nearly-but-not-quite full grown apprentice. "AHHHHHH!" he yelled, taking big, barrelling steps forward. "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Was he supposed to talk as a badger? Real badgers just made indescernable noises. (For a long time, Foxstar had been a singleton, no other kits in the nursery, so you couldn't really blame him for not really knowing what he was doing). Taking a few steps closer to Hawkkit, he pawed at the air. "AHHHHHHH!"
