Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. His name wasn't Jackson anymore, it was Palmkit- a change he was still warming to. He had a knack for taking most things in stride, like being left behind by his pa after his ma passed, but the encounter with this... clan's deputy character, who'd been the one to enact his name change, still left a bad taste in his mouth, made him more flighty and reserved than he originally had been upon wandering into the cenote.
Still, a kit was a kit, and upon catching sight of some other kits tussling across the cave, he grinned wide and bounded over, making sure to give the inner lake a very wide berth. He wasn't keen on "falling in" again. "Hiya! Who're you guys? I'm Jax- or I 'spose it's Palmkit now! I'm new here."
