Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Sunrisepaw had been rightfully pissed since the ceremony. Leave it to Monsterpaw to ruin what was supposed to be the greatest and most best day of her life. As soon as the celebration had ended and Foxstar had returned to his den, the black and white apprentice had barged in and given her cousin a piece of her mind. To his credit, the leader had listened to the ranting and raving apprentice patiently, letting her tire herself out before he told her that there was simply nothing he could do. Something about how sticking the two of them together was intentional, something about personal growth and teamwork, yada, yada, yada. Sunrisepaw had been thoroughly unsatisfied with his answer. After all, she didn't need personal growth; she was perfect just the way that she was.
Since her discussion with Foxstar, Sunrisepaw's grumpiness had become nearly infectious. Any time anyone looked at her the wrong way, the normally popular, friendly(if she liked you) she-cat offered a snappy retort. Others heard her grumbling as she groomed herself from her favorite spot in camp - the exact same spot that had started her rivalry with her new training partner. Those who were smart stayed out of the warpath of the young girl: there was nothing worse than a princess that didn't get her way. Not everyone was, though, and occassionally, another SummerClan member would be bold enough to walk up to her.
This was one of those moments. She had been cleaning the dirt out of her paws, muttering about how stupid everything was, when she heard the clearing of another cat's voice. Her gaze shot in the other's direction, her eyes narrowed into near slits. "What are you lookin' at?"

"Looks to me like a wet behind the ears raw apprentice," Cometpaw retorted back. It had been in his mind to welcome her into the apprentice circle but not anymore after her snide remark. "A word of advice," he continued. "If you don't want to be stuck on tick removal duty for your entire apprenticeship, you'd better consider changing your attitude. Warriors love to sentence grumpy, angry apprentices, especially new ones, to that very unpleasant task."
Sunrisepaw heard the other, and immediately, her claws instinctively unsheathed into the ground. Believe it or not, she wasn't in the mood to deal with cats telling her what to do or give her unsolicited advice. Her blue eyes shown with irritation as she whipped her head in his direction, offering a hauty laugh. "Oh, yeah?" she meowed, her fur still slightly puffed with her agitation. "Good thing it ain't a warrior talking to me, then, mmm?" Normally, most cats didn't get the Sunrise Special. Normally, it was only Monsterpaw and those stupid good for nothing orphans that Shadedsun cared for. Normally, the rest of the cats in the clan were met with a sunny disposition and a flirty smile. Normally, though, she wasn't simultaneously sulking about how her cousin ruined her life when he promoted her. "And anyways, who died and made you my mentor?"

Cometpaw ignored Sunrisepaw's last comment. This she cat is some piece of work! "Suit yourself," he mewed with a shrug of his shoulders. "You'll just find out the hard way."
Just then a deeper voice entered the conversation. "Hmm, last I looked I'm still alive." Crowpaw spun around clearly surprised by the older cat's appearance. "Ravenmask! You startled me," Cometpaw meowed.
"Then you should practice more on being aware of your surroundings."
"Yes, sir," Cometpaw replied as he backed away a few fox lengths.
"As for you," Ravenmask turned his attention to Sunrisepaw, "This isn't like you. From what I've observed of you around the camp, you're a happy and pleasant cat. Did he say something that bothered you? Was he picking on you?" He tipped his head toward Cometpaw. He didn't know the tom very well but he knew he hadn't been a troublemaker in the past or else he would have heard about it long before now.
Her eye twitched slightly as her mentor approached. Great, as if my day couldn't get any better. She took a centering breath, before putting on a bashful smile. Although she could run amock with the apprentices, she really didn't care what they thought of her, around the adults, she was fawning and innocent. She'd always been that way; it was how she'd managed to wrap everyone important around her finger.
"Sorry, Ravenmask," she meowed, glancing down at the ground. Her eyes were soft and wide, so innocent looking despite the fact that meer moments ago, she had looked like she was about roaring for a fight. "I was just mindin' my own business, and Cometpaw came over and called me a wet-behind-the-ears-raw-apprentice," while she repeated his words, she adopted a slightly haughty tone, the exact tone that she perceived Cometpaw to have, whether he intended it to sound that way or not. "And its been just a hard few days, with, you know," her voice trembled slightly as she looked back up to him. She was sure that Foxstar hadn't left Ravenmask unwarned that she was assigning her to a pair with her bully (of course, Sunrisepaw would never admit that she had been the one to start the feud, and who was the clan going to believe, her, the daughter of Devotedcrow and Orchiddrop, or some ugly dork?). "I guess I took it a little hard, is all."

Cometpaw's eyes rounded as big as twin moons and his jaw dropped open in surprise in how Sunrisepaw had twisted their conversation to suit her wants. "But...but..."
Ravenmask narrowed his eyes as he looked directly at the black and white apprentice. "I'm surprised at you," he growled. "And with you being an older apprentice you should know better than to pick on newly promoted ones. I'm going to have a talk with Bubblechaser and let her deal with your behavior but if I ever again hear of you picking on Sunrisepaw, or any other apprentice as far as that goes, you will have to deal with me. Understand?"
Cometpaw looked at the ground realizing that he'd get nowhere with Ravenmask as he obviously believed Sunrisepaw's account of their conversation. He shot a quick glare over at the new apprentice then adverted his eyes back to the ground. "Yes," he replied to Ravenmask before turning to leave. He was going to have to watch his step around this young cat. She'll just have to learn things the hard way, and it'll serve her right!
"Please let me know if he or anyone else bothers you," the black and gray tom told Sunrisepaw in a gentler voice. Then changing the subject, he continued, "I was coming over here to let you know there will be a training session first thing tomorrow morning. We'll meet at the training hollow. Monsterpaw already knows and said he'll be there."
