The night was quiet. Out of the hustle and bustle of the camp, the territory was lovely at night. Aridcolors never stuck around in camp too long, the inferior being more than willing to just go and do what she should do. It worked well, kept the superiors and reporters off her back. Long as she played her cards right and kept in the good company of the higher ups, she should be fine.
A sigh escaped her as she walked along one of the many abandoned railways. Large ears swiveled in the hopes of finally finding something. Anything to tear her away from her thoughts. The smell of a gerbil caught her attention and she instantly crouched, long legs trying not to stick out as she slipped into the underbrush. It didn't take her long to find it, skittering around on the forest floor. Aridcolors pulled back slightly, ready to pounce when...

Unbeknownst to Aridcolors, Grayjaw was intent on catching the same piece of prey, had been stalking it before she came slinking through the undergrowth towards it – the lighter colors on her pelt sticking out like a twisted paw, he might add. Aridcolors braced herself, and that at least let her only take a small step back when the form of Greyjaw blocked her. She straightened up, watching her prey get taken without much fuss. It's not like she had made a strong attachment to this shrew, they never went on a date or stargazed or trauma dumped on each other.
Even amidst his comments, Aridcolors didn't give him much to work with. "Sorry." Not that she sounded very apologetic, more dead than anything. She couldn't even pull herself to be annoyed. It was one less piece to bring back, but she'd just keep hunting. It was an Inferior's job after all. "Yeah." She answered him anyway. It's not like it was an issue until he showed up. "Anyway, I'll go this way." She already felt herself over this conversation, even though it barely was one, and started to walk off.
