@starkravingmad i forgot to tag you ;-; but i did it !
The tabby tom huffed has he padded through the halls of the estate, his most recent scuffle was with Wickedpaw, again. A deep cut ran under his eye, his good eye. with a frustrated twitch of his whiskers, Feralpaw slipped into the cathedral. He was prepared for Twilightpromise's scolding at recklessness but he did not hear he sharp mew has he padded in. relief filled his paws, if was bad enough hearing her grumbling as she cared for his bad eye, but adding a new wound to his face, and so close to his only good eye, he would never here the end of it.
Perhapes Brokenpaw was around, secretly he hoped that was the case. Feralpaw had noticed her in his frequent visits, and found her quite pretty, not that he would admit that. "Hello?" he mewed padding farther into the cathedral.
Brokenpaw's back was to the entrance when Feralpaw entered, her ears perking up at his mew. She jumped up almost too quickly, caught off guard by his unexpected visit, but then again, very few visits to her and Twilightpromise were actually planned by their clan-mates or at least she hoped they weren't. Ever since she had become intern Brokenpaw found herself relaxing, slowly bit by bit. Still she watched her back and often checked over her shoulder in fear that she was being watched. At least she was starting to feel at home now, and she guessed that Twilightpromise had noticed too if she felt confident enough to leave Brokenpaw to watch the cathedral on her own for a time.
"What can I-" the words died on her lips as she blinked owlishly at the visible cut on the young tom's face. She had watched carefully in the past as Twilightpromise treated Feralpaw's bad eye and was sure she could replicate it if needed but part of her was relieved she didn't have to do that on her own just yet, though she would probably inspect it while he was here just to be on the safe side.
"What happened?" she half questioned, half demanded. Well as much as she could given the soft tone of her voice, though there was a firmness in her tone where there usually wasn't. The small cat was in his face now, but not close enough that he would feel the need to step away, as she was still mindful of his personal space.

Feralpaws frustration melted away into sheepishness, his ears dropping, guess i am getting scolded either way. "Uh, just a little argument is all." he mewed looking away as the gash told a different story. He didn't want to admit that Wickedpaw's teasing had gotten to him, and they fought, nearly losing his other eye to the she-cat. No he couldn't admit that he didn't learn his lesson completely the first time. It was just so hard for him, trying to ignore her prodding insults and jokes about his eye, and the loss of his little posy. "It's not to bad." he cleared his throat trying to look tough, in his mind it was just a scratch after all.
A small frown settled on the she-cat's expression, but it wasn't directed at him, so much as it was directed at herself. Of course now would be the perfect time for her to forget what herb to use for his scratch. She knew dock was good for mild scratches, but for something like this? She couldn't be sure.
"I'll decide if it's bad or not." she said matter-o-fact-ly. The small she-cat puffed up a bit but there was no real fight of challenge to her stance, in fact if Feralpaw was paying attention he might be able to see the hint of a gleam in her eye as she teased him lightly to lower the tension in the room.
"What kind of argument? Did you give it a good wash?" she stepped away from him to look through the stores of herbs, leaving him in suspense, and never actually telling him out bad the scratch was, or wasn't.

he felt heat in his face at her joke and gave a chuckle, "That's fair, you are the intern after all." he hoped he could play off the injury, but there was no fooling a medic or intern.
"Oh you know, just... she told me i lost half my brain... " he mewed if his ears could they would have drooped even lower. "Does getting my head dunked in a river count as washing?" he mewed awkwardly. he didn't want to admit that he HAD landed the blow on her, but for some reason, the wound he inflicted transferred to him, and the tom wasn't ready to open that can of worms, so he avoided the big details.
he felt the pull as she stepped away, he didn't mind her company, but he was embarrassed that she was seeing him so soon after a fight. Not the best version of yourself there buddy, he thought to himself, shocked at his on concern about what she thought of him.
The intern made a face, as she shifted through the various piles of herbs at his comment. Thankful he couldn’t see her expression even if it was out of confusion and not malice.
“That doesn’t even make sense and as far as insults go that one is pretty lame. Besides you know that isn’t true.” Brokenpaw finally deciding on a treatment picked up a bundle of herbs ad turned back to Feralpaw making her way over to the student. She couldn’t blame him honestly. Part of the reason she avoided hanging out with others is because she was afraid of what they would say about her if they found out about her family. So instead she kept to herself, finding it easier than actually opening up.
“That depends on if the water was actually clean.” This time she didn’t wait for an answer, and before she could over think it and talk herself out if it the intern leaned forward, dropping the bundle of herbs at her paws before giving the student’s wound a quick yet gentle lick before he could register what was happening. She give it a second lick just to be safe, making sure the wound was clean before adverting her gaze to the herbs at her paws.
“Well it’s clean now anyway.” She didn’t dare look at him, nervous about seeing his reaction. Why she was embarrassed she wasn’t sure. She hadn’t done anything wrong. After all she was just doing her job. Yet her ears still burned from the blush that spread under her fur.

{AAAAAHHHHHH i love them already ;-;}
He laughed trying to play off the seriousness "Thank you. If Twilightpromise saw, I don't think she would agree." He let out an amused mew, glad to have avoided her scolding. When the she-cat leaned in towards him he felt heat rise from his tail to his ears, embarrassed he held still not sure what to do. The gentle ache from his wound made his whiskers twitch, but did nothing to distract from the sudden closeness. As she pulled away he quickly looked off to the side, like the columns in the room where suddenly very interesting. "Uh, thank you." He was usually a very confident tom, always had the right words, but just being here made I'm feel like a blundering mess.
There was a mixed feeling in his stomach, embarrassment, and- perhaps joy? he hadn't felt like this before, most of his life up to now was all about the best fighting moves and who was stronger out of all the waxing cats. Clearing his throat he mewed, " What herbs are you using." He dared to move his gaze back to the intern, slightly disappointed to see her turned away.
"Well, yeah I can see why she'd disagree. I think you and the other waxings could all stand to be more careful." She nodded at the thought after a moment, as if confirming with herself that was in fact what she had meant to say. She didn't want to make excuses for any cat's reckless behavior, even if she did empathize with them. She also didn't want to be the one to lecture anyone for their choices, for now she'd leave that up to Twilightpromise, and let Feralpaw off with a firm warning.
"O-oh this? It's just comfrey leaves. It'll help keep the wound clean while it heals so you don't get an infection." As she explained the herbs use she could hear the confidence seeping into her voice, finally sure of at least one thing she was doing right in the situation. Meeting the tom's gaze again, she hesitated for a moment thinking over her next move. At least he doesn't look upset. The calico dipped her head and began chewing the leaves up into a paste. Brokenpaw wasn't a fan of awkward silence, not that this silence was awkward but that she wasn't willing to give it an opportunity to become awkward. So she made quick work of the task, and in moment was already gently applying the salve to his gash.
"I know you can't control how others react, but should try to be a bit more careful. Not that I don't enjoy your company but, it's never a good thing when Twilightpromise and I have visitors."
"you enjoy my company?" He mewed with an awkward purr, ignoring everything else she said. that was dumb, he thought to himself, why did i say that? he shifted his paws as she applied the chewed up leaves to his face, "I will try, to be more careful that is." he thought for a split split second, what if he 'got hurt' then he could come to the cathedral more often, he resisted to shake his head, to shake the thought away. That was to much.
Not wanting to end the conversation just yet, he mewed, "Have you seen many cats lately? I mean, for injury's and such?" He vaguely remembered the sickness that the clan faced before the culling, and he resisted a shutter, pushing the memories away.
The she-cat let out a purr of amusement, not at all offended that the tom didn't seem the least bit interested in what she had said previously. Herbs clearly wasn't an area of interest for him, just as fighting wasn't really hers, however she had trained as a hunter prior to becoming the intern, so it wasn't as if she couldn't fight. She just... preferred not to. A small smile graced her lips as she regarded Feralpaw, doing her best not to show her surprise at his reaction.
"Of course I enjoy your company why wouldn't I?" A dawning look crossed her expression briefly as she suddenly remembered she'd forgotten, probably a very important step in this whole process. "Oh! I forgot the cobwebs!" She stood up quickly beckoning him with her tail to follow as she hobbled on three paws to the pool of water in the center of the room to wash the remaining salve of her paws before reaching under the nearest pew, fishing around for an abandoned web.
"But, to answer your question, not many no. Thank Selene, Things seem pretty quiet lately which is good for the clan, but not good for boredom."
Feralpaw padded after her, "Well because i am the tough kid, the bully.... or was the bully..." he mewed jokingly, he made light of his past, if only to make himself feel better. he held back a chuckle as he watched her hobble to the water.
but not good for boredom. he thought for a moment. "Maybe- maybe we could hangout. when you aren't busy that is." the tom looked away again, flustered by his own feelings, glad that she enjoyed his company. "I could come bring you food, or, accompany you to gather herbs? and i could hunt?" he started mumbling and throwing out ideas awkwardly, trying to play it off cool, but failing.
"Well, You've never bullied me" she pointed out. Finally she felt the silky clump of a cobweb brush against her paw, even though she was used to the feeling and collected them often, it was hard to resist the urge to shudder at the feeling. She didn't mind collecting cobwebs but she always feared that the web may not be entirely abandoned when she collected them. Luckily this time it had been. Turning her attention back to Feralpaw she gently began to layer the webs over his wound, securing the salve in place so that it wouldn't fall off when he moved.
"Really?" she asked, doing her best not to step closer as she was already in his personal space and didn't want to make him feel awkward. Her blue eyes lit up at his offer. "You want to hang out with me?" Ever since the culling Brokenpaw hadn't had many friends, and for good reason, or at least she thought so.

Feralpaw watched her as she placed the cobwebs over the wound. "Of course!" he mewed, perhaps a little to eager. "any cat who doesn't want to hang out with you..." He hesitated before his next words. "Blind..." he mewed looking away again, it was easy to look at her when it was twilightpromise working on his wounds. "And , Selene forgive me, dumb."
