Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
[ this thread is for Lotuscove (she's not on the page because she's a cannon fodder character but I wanna do a sad thread with her regardless.)
The PREMISE : Lotuscove had an affair with a Nightclan tom Satyrsong and is going to Twilightpromise in labor. Obviously the only adult toms that could have fathered her kits in moonclan are Puzzlemaker, Windsweptashes, or Ratking. But it is rather obvious that is not the case because the state Lotuscove is in about her kits birth. Eventually after some prodding she confesses their father is not of the clan and asks Twilightpromise to lie for her but obviously the Medic won't as there isn't even a conceivable lie to be found and in the next Vesper Lotuscove will be forced to confess her sins. ]
THE KITS
[ all but two of these kits will end up in Nightclan as Puzzlemaker made a deal with Kier to give them to him. ]
[MESSAGE ME to adopt one! and I'll tag the adopters in a future thread where the Nightclan kits will be given to nightclan. I will fill you in on the plot in my return message! (there are two kits I put on the back burner because I feared lack of interest. But if you message me and Sordid is gone I will put up the others. ]
The pains had started earlier that morning, a contracting muscle spasm that had her holding her breath until they passed again. She had stayed relatively slim during her pregnancy little weight gain left to send suspicions towards her. In truth she was rather sure that even if she had swelled up like some she-cats no one would have noticed. Such a background character she had become in her own clan; she felt like a joke.
No duties were handed to her in Puzzlemaker and Windsweptashes seemingly endless quest to cement the new generation as the future of the clan. It was like they had decided that those deemed to old could not be taught new tricks. She felt like they would be more grateful if she had died in the culling. Already those younger than her were in the ruling classes and looking down their noses at her when they did see her.
Another contraction disrupted her thoughts and she ducked her head and ground her teeth before she deemed it useless to try and hide this now. Aching she pushed herself forward and towards the stairs, deeming that she had no choice to seek out the Medic. In truth she did not truly trust Twilightpromise to be able to help her; after all it was no secret to those with eyes that the she-cat was new to the craft. Lotuscove still remembered when Twilightpromise was an apprentice for Selene's sake.
But giving birth in a secluded room rather than in a common area seemed preferable. Already she felt panic choking her as she thought of desperate lies to tell to save herself and her kits. Already she could feel doom looming over her, it felt like she was walking towards her grave. Her paws dragged up the steps and she bite back tears at the thought of the uncertain future. Would her kits be killed fresh out of her womb, would they not even be given the chance to open their eyes?
Would she be exiled and forced to leave them behind? No she would not allow it. If they tried to force her from Moonclan she would take her kits and run, surely they would give her time to recover from the birth? She could abscond with her kits during the period. There would be no refuge to be found in Nightclan either she knew but perhaps Dayclan would take them?
As she walked into the Medics domain she felt the thoughts solidify in her mind. Yes, that is what she would do. She would smuggle herself and her kits out at the first opportunity. Away from these suffocating domains ruled by toms that had long since sold their souls to the devil.
"Twilightpromise?" She called as she glanced about for the Medic with fevered eyes, the contractions closer together than ever. If the other wasn't here she would likely be giving birth alone; but giving birth here alone was better than giving birth downstairs where anyone could come across her.

Poking her head for the small corner he had made her nest, Twilightpromise mewed, "Hello? What is it?" Her mew was groggy from her disturbed rest, "Is it-" She began to question Lotusgrove, but soon noticed the rippling contractions on the she-cats sides. "This way." Twilightpromise hurried to her guiding her to the back corner where she had set up emergency nests, her eyes focused, all signs of sleep fading in her urgency.
She had not yet dealt with birth as a medic, but she had seen it many times before. Dipping some moss into a pool near by, she hurried back "Try and drink some water, you need your strength." She urged the she cat to drink as she raised the moss to her, running her tail soothingly along her belly, "It won't be long."
Twilightpromise watched calmly, curiosity pricking her paws. She tries to take note of all the cats in her clan, she felt it was her duty as medic to know each and every one. She had not noticed Lotusgrove was pregnant, the contractions and scent of milk had made it ever so obvious now. "Has it been long? Sense you discovered you where to have kits?" Her mew was inquisitive, and her eyes staring questioningly, but surprisingly gentle, at the she cat, "You should have been coming to me more often, to help the process." she wasn't lying, it would have been preferable if she had come to the medic for regular check-ins, But also so she could report to Puzzlemaker.
Lotuscove sucked at the moss and flinched at the others sudden questions, having hoped she had longer before she needed to start her fabrications. She took a moment to struggle through the most recent contraction, using it as an excuse to hold her silence for even a moment longer and hoping any of her tells came across as simple results of her labor.
"Not long, in truth I had wrote most what I now assume were symptoms off as stress from the many changes in the clan recently." She replied and gave a guiltless grin. Haha I'm an idiot, nothing to see here. She could only thank Selene she hadn't gone to Twilightpromise the moment she had known, she imagined her life would have been much more hellish than it already had been. The fear and anxiety dodging her steps as it had been.
Slowly she eased into a more comfortable position, but despite the others words she felt intrinsically that it might be a little while yet before her kits made an appearance. Perhaps her own fear was stalling the process, she couldn't say but it only opened up time for more questions.
suspition burned at twilightpromise's ears but she pushed it away, she gave the she cat a brisk nod. "Alright, that is fair." She continued to sooth her belly with her tail, feeling the contractions, timing them out in her head. She had many more questions she wanted to ask, but bit her words back. Lotuscove would need her strength and Twilightpromise felt Selene would not be proud of her taking advantage of such a situation. "will you be able to fair without herbs?" wanting to avoid weakening the she-cat, the medic hoped she would say yes, but she was already rummaging through her supplies she grabed a leaf with poppy seeds and a strange looking plant with a yellow flower like bulb on the end, it was rhodiola a plant Twilight had found on the border not long ago, she found it helped with pain and stress quite well.
