Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
I am writing this note in order to express my gratitude that you accepted my invitation to the 'hamster party' on DayClan's border a few days ago. I have been burned by many other leaders in my time in this forest--I'm sure you know of the time Burningstar laid siege to SpringClan--and your open mind and willingness to communicate with DayClan...I will not lie, Kier; it did surprise me. Our Clans are different in so many ways, yet similar in just as many. I hope our Clans' relationship only improves from here on out.
On a more distressing note, I regretfully must ask some advice of you. I have experienced several 'events' since our meeting, events that my Clanmates and I cannot come to an agreement about. Often while on patrol in DayClan territory, I will--if only for a split second--notice a distinctly Kier-shaped figure watching me through the trees. This figure is always silent, and disappears within milliseconds of me noticing it. My Clanmates swear they see nothing. I think we both understand that this is a delicate matter, therefore I will ask as simply as possible--Kier, are you stalking me through DayClan territory, or am I merely 'going flippin' mental', as my son Melonspring so eloquently put it?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Warm regards, Peachstar
(PS. I did wait for a patrol to swing by the NightClan border so I could perhaps deliver this message in question, but NightClan territory was simply too dark and depressing a sight for me, and I could remain there no longer. Might I suggest you invest in an interior decorator? Or better yet, the sun?)
Accepting was the least I could do; for too long our two Clans have had poor relations for no reason other than a childish preoccupation with our respective suffixes (can the first part of a Clan's name be called a suffix? I like to think I'm rather good at Clan customs but the finer points do still at times elude me.)
At the risk of sounding evasive — or worse, pugnacious — I'm afraid I cannot comment on your concerns. There are some things that must remain between Clanmates, you understand. I hope this won't interfere with Clan relations; it would be a shame to forsake them over so insignificant anaccusationallegation suspicion. Perhaps you ought to listen to your son.
You're welcome anytime, of course.
Regards, Kier
(PS. I broached the subject when first I became leader, but I regret to say NightClan is rather set in their ways. I ought not to say this at the risk of appearing disloyal, but if you think the territory is depressing, you should really see the camp — I do try my best to hide it, but the first time I went down there I was struck by just how dreary it was. The blood has done little to improve it But I shall take your suggestions on board. Or better yet, as you put it, perhaps one night I could show you the better parts of the territory. It's really not all so dismal.) (PPS. That was a long post-script, I apologise.) (PPPS. This is very inelegant, but please excuse the hasty writing. My nights are busy — as, of course, I'm sure yours are. Days, rather. I've had to come back to this letter at brief intervals over a period of many hours and it's difficult to regain a train of thought once it's so many hours past. That ineloquent sentence is, unfortunately, an example. In any case, not wanting to eat up any more of your time, I'll cut myself short here.)
