Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Windchaser stood under the White Tree, over looking the water. The sun was sinking behind the horizon as she waited for her friend. She had asked Illuminatedpath to meet her here. She wanted to talk to him. She gazed up at the sky, little sparkles of stars began to show. She took a deep breath, calming her nerves, collecting her thoughts, and rehersing all the things she wanted to tell him in her mind.
Illuminatedpath had reflected a lot on the time theyd spent under SunClan control. How close he couldve come to losing Windchaser, how close he couldve come to being hurt badly or killed. But all that was in the past, now the future was theres. He wanted to tell Windchasrr how he felt when he met with her at the tree... but he wasnt sure what to bring. Hed tried to hunt some nice prey... but all hed managed was a scrawny mouse. But he still carried it carefully towards the tree tail held high.
As Illuminatedpath approached, her green eyes lit up and a bright smile appeared. "Nice catch!" She purred, seeing the mouse he had caught and hoping to make him feel better about catching the scrawny prey. "I'm glad you came." She gestured with her tail for him to come sit with her.
Illuminatedpath ducked his head a bit, both a bit embarassed by his scrawny prey and bashful from her praise. He happily took the seat next to her and set down his prey. "I'm glad you're still here." He said quietly. "I..." He shuffled his paws. "We talk a lot, we hang out a lot, we're really close friends." More than that really, but he wanted to say this right. Wanted to make sure it was clear, but also quick so he didn't chicken out and start rambling about nothing. He shuffled his paws. "But there's something big I want to say. Something I've realized, and... I want to say it now before I lose my nerve."
Illuminatedpath nodded slowly, taking in a deep breath. "After everything we went through in SunClan. After realizing how easily something bad could happen. I didn't want to wait. You are the most important cat in my life Windchaser, every moment we're together I feel like the happiest cat alive. I love seeing you run free, I love your laugh, I love seeing you when you're happy, and I love that you're there for me. StarClan, I love you Windchaser." He said a bit quickly and breathlessly. Ears burning hot after he got the confession out.
Her ears flattened and her eyes widened in awe. Her heart felt as if it would burst and a lump formed in her throat as her green eyes started to water. She couldnt hold back the smile that spread across her face and she wrapped her tail around his, "I love you too, Illuminatedpath." She leaned against him, purring loudly.
