Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. The wind rushed into rather than past her, like she carried the wind in her pelt. For once she didn't feel lost running to BrookClan, it was liking running home in the dark. No amount of shadows could cloud the path that she knew from heart. She tripped slightly as she ran, her legs still weak from the freezing waters she stood in for hours and swam in, but despite the numb feeling in her legs she could feel a burning sensation ripple throughout her. Glowstar burst in the clearing half the opposite half of the blue jay feather behind her ear.
Glowstar's eyes glittered like emeralds with tears heavy in her eyes making out only the blurred figure of Kerrigan. Her smile rushed to her lips as she ran and tackled Kerrigan down, "I know you did it for me," She whispered with a big grin and nuzzled into her, "I know, don't cuddle too much cause it's teasing, but I'm just so happy to see you. Like you you, not hurt by the past Kerrigan, but fierce from the past Kerrigan."
Her eyes were only on Kerrigan and she had yet to notice that Burningstar was there too.
Burningstar had been sitting near Kerrigan chatting about kits, Burningstar had told her about the four new kittens she was going to adopt, after their healers cleared them. "they're a little odd looking, but they're all sweethearts really."
she lifted her head when Glowstar entered opening her mouth to say something that died as Glowstar tackled Kerrigan in a hug. "Oh! Glowstar! I wasn't expecting to see you here too!" She said letting out a purr as the dayclan leader cuddled the tsar. The sight was sweet. But concern arose when she recalled how injured Glowstar had been, "Are you all right, your legs, they were hurt," Burningstar meowed concerned

Foxstar, of course, was present as well. Given the timing, she wasn't really about to leave Glowstar to her own devices when she ran off who knew where, though the Priestess had taken care to follow at a distance and keep herself from being noticed. Even now, as she watched the DayClan leader embrace Kerrigan, she hung back a few steps in the shadows, just out of sight, but within earshot. For now, the she-cat didn't really intend to reveal herself, only listen, though Glowstar's words confirmed her own thoughts on the matter. She wasn't surprised that both cats had left out of loyalty to her sister, but it was still irritating. Not irritating enough to do anything about, she'd already taken one of Burningstar's lives, and Kerrigan had at least bowed out gracefully, so she wasn't particularly mad, yet it was still there, in the back of her mind.
"I'm sure they're love-" The Tsar was cut off by the entrance of Glowstar, who came barreling towards her. This was a surprise, and she wasn't quite prepared for the touch and ended up stumbling backwards a few steps upon impact. This was an odd sight to see, the Tsar being caught off guard. Glowstar seemed to just appear whenever she wanted, so why would it surprise her that she appeared now? Probably because the DayClan cat didn't make a habit of actually tackling her often.
"Careful there, tiger," she meowed as she regained her balance. A soft chuckle left her lips at the thought. She could not imagine Glowstar being careful. And the cat had yet to prove that idea wrong. She didn't comment on the touch, though. In fact, she embraced it, resting her muzzle on the other leader's shoulder for a moment. There had been a part of her that feared that this would never happen again, that she would have lost Glowstar forever, even with the offering of peace. After a beat or two of the touch, one that was enough to assure her that things would be okay, Kerrigan pulled away.
"It's awfully bold of you to assume that you left the last time and I was so upset that I felt compelled to touch a tom to get over the absolute devastation of losing one of my closest friends," she teased, as if that wasn't exactly what happened. "If you want to claim responsibility, you should at least get babysitting duty some time. There was a reason I never intended to have children." Another soft laugh exited her lips. She hadn't laughed much lately, but it was a freeing thing to do, she decided.
"I mean, I've heard of it happening before, but I didn't think that would happen. I trusted the power of friendship and I mean, ultimately I wouldn't be here without you.... I also wouldn't have been in a mess if it wasn't for you though so hmm. Who's the victim again?" Glowstar asked, her eyes lit up as she smiled down at Kerrigan before placing an amused paw down onto Kerrigan, "Are you kidding? I love kits!"
She rolled off of Kerrigan. Sitting up she brushed her paw against her ear displaying her half of the feather, "Friendship feathers," Her eyes lit up even more, "No! Feather friends!" She grinned, "Best featheriest friends, BFF's."
Finally she registered Burningstar's presence and before she said hi she heard the concern in her voice, "Oh, yeaaah. I got frost bite real bad. I really should not have run here, I could literally become paralyzed for life if I keep this up, but my legs have not turned black yet so that's a good sign."
Burningstar purred And nudged Kerrigan, “You know I’ll happily babysit, give Bonfirekit and my new adopted litter some BrookClan playmates.... though carrying all 5 of them will be an undertaking,” she mused. “Eh, i’lll still babysit if you need me to. I’m a good aunt, it’s what I do,” she said puffing out her chest a bit.
Then alarm at Glowstar’s words, “What! Then you should lay down, and do something for your limbs, is a healer nearby? You shouldn’t have risked your health Glowstar!” Burningstar hissed
"Playing victim isn't very fitting of you, Glowdear. We all know that there are better things to put your mind to," she meowed teasingly, although that tease hid a bit of guilt. Of course, Glowstar had been correct. It had been her fault. However, Kerrigan was a proud cat, one who seldom admitted that she was wrong. The fact that she withdrew from the alliance at all was a big step for her, consider it character development.
She then raised her eyebrows at the idea of best featheriest friends. Out of all things she had expected to be able to refer to herself as, queen, tsar, goddess among men, a best featheriest friend was not one of them. Still, her feather was still interlocked within her own crown, so maybe it was a suitable name. "If you say so," she murmured after a moment.
"Also," she meowed after another beat, "since Burningstar so graciously offered to also babysit, perhaps unsupervised visitation with the kittens is not the best idea. I don't want to say I don't trust you with them, but I trust you with them just about as much as I trust a fish to fly." She let out an amused purr. "No offense, of course."
She turned her gaze to Burningstar and offered a smile. The dynamic between the two had changed since they first met. Of course, it was still clear that Kerrigan had the edge, but at the same time, the Tsar was more relaxed around the NightClan leader. She almost considered her a friend. "Thank you for the offer," she meowed with a wink, before glancing back to Glowstar as Burningstar spoke of her concern.
"Should I summon Springlockedgrave?" she asked, concern flicking through her gaze.
Glowstar smiled at Kerrigan's comment. Oh c'mon, what more did she have to prove to people that she was great at watching kits? Sure two of hers were kidnapped and driven into insanity and the other two were executed. But when the kits weren't her own blood she was great with kits. Her paw stiffly waved away Kerrigan's offer unable to even really bend much at the joint of her paw, "I'll be fine. I just stood in frozen water twice everyday and I was doing just fine. Until I jumped in said freezing waters for about fifteen minutes and swam in it so that probably did it. I mean, I honestly don't even feel any pain or anything. I think someone could stab me and I wouldn't notice. What I need is a hot springs. Pretty much only thing that can cure me. I remember there was one in Toxicity and there was one in WaterClan's medicine cat den," She recalled.
She didn't hate going to see a medicine cat, she just didn't like it when they told her not to do anything... And she knew Flyingcolors was going to tell her that so she just didn't see her. The only time she accepted that was when Foxstar and her janus attacked her and she had allowed herself to take it easy because she literally had no choice, but to be confined in a room which was about what it took for her to actually recover.
