Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The cool evening wind rustled the trees overhead, leaves fluttered down gently touching the slumbering earth. A grey she-cat, crouched in the shadows of some brambles, her thick grey pelt hidden my the setting sun. She crept slowly, quietly forward. Her Golden amber eyes focused, unblinking. Velvetdecay flicked the tip of her tail, her target? A vole, scurrying around, picking at, and sorting through the nuts and seed the fall plants had scattered.
She had already found a bird and a mouse, but she wanted to bring back more for her clan. She had always sat back and watch, but she couldn't help the urge to do more. She wanted to feel like she belonged here.
The medicine cat apprentice picked her way through the forest, on the hunt for any herbs she could scrounge. Though these things were a bit new to her, she was eager to learn all she could as to help her new Clan through their struggles. Suddenly she stopped as the scent of prey and clanmate washed towards her. The last thing she wanted to do was scare away the kill. Faepaw spotted Velvetdecay and watched as she locked onto her target.
With gentle steps Velvetdecay crept forward. She gave her ears a quick flick before pouncing on the vole. Raising her head triumphantly she spun around to bring her new catch to her stash, smelling her clanmate just barely through the sent of the vole, "hello?" She mewed with her mouth full.
Glancing around until she spotted the young apprentice, this was the medicine cat apprentice! "um-" she spat the vole out, "Are you hungry?" she asked, in an attempt to make small talk.
The she-cat dipped her head in greeting then raised her gaze to meet Velvetdecay's. "No, thank you. I had a mouse shortly before I left camp." Faepaw was grateful for the offer but knew she needed to stay on task. "I've come out searching for herbs. Perhaps I can tag along with you?"
“Oh! Of course.” Velvetdecay chuckled a little awkwardly. “What herbs are you gathering? I can help” she kicked dirt over her fresh kill as she spoke, and trotted over to the medicine cat apprentice. “I can come back for that after.” She purred happily.
