Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Snapdragon raged, pacing the nursery with anger as his mate Irisblossom watched on. He was furious with the changes in Nightclan and ached to rip into cats, to shed blood, to scream and rage. Lilackit, Buttercupkit, Glazekit, and Snowkit deserved better than this mess of a clan. They sure shouldn't be growing up under Kier and Snowblister's rule. The only thing that had held him back so far was his mates worried fretting and cautionary words. But as time passed he compressed further and further in his rage, ready to explode.
"Snapdragon, please, calm down." Irisblossom pleaded. Her voice cracked from the sentence, as if she was going to collapse into a bubbling mess of sobs again at any second, and it was clear that the she-cat had been crying from the dried streaks that was under her eyes. "If they hear you they might... they might..." She couldn't even bear to utter the words. She had already lost her kits. The last thing she needed was to lose her mate too.
"How am I supposed to calm down Iris!" He snapped scruff of his neck standing straight up and eyes a little wild. His tail whipped behind him and he gritted his teeth to stop himself from yelling at her again. She had done nothing, she had done nothing he reminded himself. The darker parts of himself whispered insidious reminders that Irisblossom had not fought with her life to keep their kits with her. But just as quickly he shook his head and reminded himself there was nothing she could have done. "What do we do Irisblossom? How are we meant to carry on? They have put Lilackit, I mean Lilacpaw, as the medicine cat apprentice!"
"I know... and he is still just a baby..." Irisblossom croaked the tears finally started to streak down her face again. "I can only imagine what Buttercupkit, Glazekit, and Snowkit through. Snowkit is especially fragile with his hearing issues." Irisblossom said as she walked over to her mate and buried her face into his fur. The she-cat stayed there for a few seconds, silently sobbing, until she eventually pulled herself away and pawed the tears from her eyes. "We have to find a way out of her, Snapdragon." She said simply.
