Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The snow fell heavy, gathering in drifts as the wind viciously ripped through the pine trees and ate at his skin. Blinking his eyes against the horrible conditions he spotted the rising steam and hurried his steps. The sapphire springs a oasis in the desert as he shivered and shook off the snow that had already layered his pelt once again. The journey out into the winds had been foolish, but at times the camp could be suffocating, so many cats to keep an eye on so much foot traffic. Especially on days where the weather was so dreadful and drove most sensible cats inside.
As he reached the edge of the spring he turned his back to the wind and huddled next to it. "Stupid," he huffed under his breath, knowing he should have made a retreat the moment he stepped from camp. The worst of the winds seemed to be slowing though, then he would just have to contend with the snow which was simply the way of life in Winterclan. An easy task for a cat such as Fairytalesorrow who had been born among the white hills.

Little did he know that he was not the only one caught out in the bad weather. She had been standing beside the spring reminiscing and decided to stay there until things died down. At the very least it would give her time to recollect her thoughts before returning to came. Everything had happened so suddenly and Indigocrown had practically no time to prepare and become Soverign.
"It's a little chilly out today, huh?" She tried to make a joke but in all honesty, humor had never been the grizzled tan she-cats strongest trait. "It looks like it's just a passing wind, it should hopefully due down soon "

"Just a little."
Tuskblood's towering form appeared behind the two of them, icicles and snow clinging to her thick black coat like an extra layer of fur. She was born in the harsh cold, but winter storms were always frustrating. She let out an annoyed grunt and tried to brush some of it off with a massive paw in hopes to not get any on the other two. You would think the wind would do the job for her, but instead it made her sound like one of those twoleg things they hung outside their dens. Wind sticks?
Big blue eyes turned towards the grizzled sovereign and he gave a little twist of his lips. "I don't know." He replied with a little shrug before Tuskblood's repetition cut over his own soft voice that was already being swept away by the wind. Fairytalesorrow paid it no mind though as he glanced towards her in bemusement. She looked rather comical and he bit back an instinctive tease, he could only be glad he did not share her fur texture and didn't have issues like that.
"Spring should arrive soon, which should help lift some spirits." He spoke up once more and then looked towards Tuskblood, "and help cut back on the storms." It was a little nerve wracking being surrounded by the two she-cats he was reasonably sure could fold him in half. But he supposed he would have to get used to it eventually.

Indigocrown could not help but let out a gruff chuckle at that. "Good one. Just as the other clans say our hearts are cold ice that never melt, the snow here never truly goes away. The worst of the storms should pass, surely, but we are too high up the mountain for it to ever truly melt. I have only been down the mountain maybe a dozen times during the warm seasons and it makes me welcome this cold weather. It gets so hot down there I wonder how the long-furred cats even survive." Long-furred cats typically faired especially well in Winterclan's cold climate. The sovereign herself had a thicker undercoat than most even though her fur was so short.
"You look like you're having fun in the weather," She said in a bemused voice to her heir. Tuskblood was usually very serious and a good warrior so seeing her like this was entertaining if nothing else.
