Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Hello everyone! With Spiralpaw moving on up to be medicine cat with her full name and a pilon, Spiralimp, she is now in need of an apprentice!
If you already have a medical position, you cannot try out. As this is a staff position, some amount of activity is expected from you, and there are some loose requirements. For a MCA, we ask that you try to get two posts a week, but it's not supposed to be stressful so if that requirement can't be met, there is no punishment until it becomes a continuous thing without communication. Having a Discord is also recommended, though not required. If you don't have a Discord, we can work something else out, so don't worry about it affecting your chances! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask ♥
These tryouts will end on February 8th!
Also, a thing to note, is that pilons are making their return to FallClan! A pilon is a soul stone, blessed by StarClan and acts as a bridge between worlds. It's a dangerous tool, to both the medicine cat and others. You can read more about them in THIS post in the guide!

Cat Name & Bio ; Goldenpaw [peony] Born a bright star in an otherwise dark time, her father just having passed due to an infected wound and her mother wasting away in her grief and fear towards the future. Her whole kithood she would be told that it was her birth that brought light to her mothers world once more. Her bright pelt and eyes a sign to her mother that there was light in even the darkest times. Perhaps this is what led to the arrogant tilt to her jaw and flinty light to her stare. For as much as her mother toted her birth as a sign of good fortune Goldenpeony grew to be a dark rain cloud in others. A tongue sharp enough to to cut and used skillfully enough to leave the wounds festering. Her desire to heal others is born more for her own desire to be indispensable than a true nurturing nature. Young as she is she knows what she wants and where she wants to be in the future. She shuns others signs of good will with suspicion born of a deeper paranoid nature and is often hunting for deeper meanings that are truly rarely there. Overconfident to a fault at times she is assured she can handle anything and everything life might bring her all on her own. This often leaves her on thin ice, though she has yet to truly fall into something she can't salvage. How will your character work with...
- Hystericstar ; She's going to be a little intimidated by him, more hesitant than she is around anyone else. She won't be able to predict him or read him and that will leave her on uneasy footing. But at the same time she will gravitate towards him, following him at odd times to try and piece together what makes him tic. Then if he catches her she will swear she was just concerned he was finally going to fall over and die with how impractical his whole existence was. Then she's scamper away before he can retort because he secretly scares her. But if you ask her she is storming away with pride at getting the last word.
- Whitewolf ; First of all I truly love him and his mother complex. I'm of-course joking not about loving him, but about his mother complex. Goldenpaw is going to try and fight him I believe. Since she has such a true desire to be indispensable but is also paranoid she's going to want to learn how to fight. She's also not going to want anyone to know she's learning/knows how to fight. So she's going to badger him into teaching her and then drag him out at odd hours to strange places and throw herself at him. There will be less instructing and her just making bold attempts at fighting him by instinct alone with all the bluster of a cat that's always been told how perfect she is.
- Spiralimp ; Goldenpaw is going to snip and snap at her constantly. Her desire to be the best, to be indispensable makes the two rather incompatible. But I think it will be fun! I imagine as much as Goldenpaw pushed Spiralimp won't rise to the bait. Their similar ages (I think Spiralimp is still rather young?) will also drive Goldenpaw to fits. I would love to do an rp where they go to gather herbs and it's Goldenpaw constantly being a pain with Spiralimp the true saint she is simpyl redirecting the catty comments. I really hope Spiralimp considers Goldenpaws barbs amusing or endearing and tells her things like "you're so sweet!" after Goldenpaw tells her she hopes she falls in a river. Sorry just my head-cannon. What is something that you would like to do with your character? ; I want to roleplay out her crushing realization that despite her mothers dying assertions she is not in-fact perfect. I want to explore her paranoia of others being kind to her while at the same time expecting nothing else. I want her arrogance to cost a life, I want her to hide that failure ready to take that secret to the grave. I want her to eventually learn to accept others ( I hope Spiralimp can be her first friend ). I want her first friend to then help her sort out emotions and learn that not every cat needs to be welcomed with her own personal storm.
Username ; Klee Cat Name & Bio ; Pyropaw (maniac) - A dark gray, almost black at first glance, she-cat with yellow eyes that burn just as fiercely as the fire that disfigured her. Pyromaniac has patches of missing fur that exposes scorched raw skin and is missing most of her ears with obvious signs they were singed off. Don't let her fool you though, she can still hear perfectly fine even without the tops of her ears! Pyromaniac is a former kittypet turned wild after she accidentally caused the deaths of her owners and destruction of her home by knocking over a burning candle. When her owner placed the candle onto the kitchen table Pyromaniac's curiosity got the better of her. At first she just stared at the flickering flame that created a soft glow in the normally dark room. Then she inched closer, her nose barely hovering next to the wick, and felt the fire warm the tip of her nose. What came next is up for debates on whether it was an accident or intentional. Pyromaniac pawed the candle into the floor, and watched with a twisted look of joy as the flame caught the wooden kitchen chair on fire. The flames rapidly spread throughout the house in seconds. At first the kitten was delighted to see the brilliant glow light the entire house and the tall flames warm her very soul, but the delight was short lived as thick heavy smoke billowed around her and caused a burning sensation to ripple through her chest. Pyromaniac attempted to run to her owner's bedroom, only to see some furniture in the hallway had toppled over and trapped her owners inside the bedroom. As the fire and smoke engulfed her, Pyromaniac did the only thing she knew how to do, and hid underneath something. As fire destroyed her home and burned her body, she awakened to discover two-legs tirelessly working on her and treating her wounds. Once the broken pieces were put together Pyromaniac stayed huddled in her metal prison that the two-legs had put her in for weeks until eventually a new family attempted to adopt her. No longer seeing herself worthy to be a pet, Pyromaniac slipped out of the two-legs grasp, and disappeared into the surrounding foliage. She traveled for moons before eventually coming across Fallclan and making the clan her new home. Pyromaniac has poor fighting capabilities and chronic issues due to the effects of the fire, but she is aware of these limitations and attempts to accommodate them with her intelligence and grace. She is a fast learner and views herself as more of a support to her clan versus someone to be on the front lines. She likes to tinker with herbs to create new mixtures to treat chronic conditions and has plenty of ideas on how to make the clan a better place to live, but often her ideas are unrealistic or her mixture of herbs unsafe to try to live patients. Pyromaniac is a she-cat with an odd personality that diverges from intense mania to weird periods of lacking emotions. Usually though Pyromaniac loves to go on adventures and is solicitous in personality. She loves to find the positives in negative situations and adores making new friends or making other cats in the clan feel important. She is quick to praise other people and is eager to try new things if she is invited to participate. Sometimes Pyromaniac's high energy personality can cause reckless behaviors and unrealistic self-confidence, but she can typically be talked down by others unless she is absolutely fixated on whatever it is she is trying to do. Despite all she has been through due to the fire she has started, Pyromaniac still has an eerie fascination with fire and will sometimes find ways to start small fires if given a chance to be on her own. This causes those who are close to her concern about leaving her on her own. At the same time though I think they could both bond over their chronic conditions and I can see Hystericstar making sure that Pyro doesn't get into too much trouble! I almost see them as a older brother and young sister type of relationship. - Whitewolf ; Whitewolf would definitely be a father figure to Pyro. I envision him being firm yet gentle and will probably want to steer her in the right direction. He might get concerned when Pyro has one of her wild ideas and attempts to enact them. I can also see him lecturing her regularly on being more aware of the dangers she puts herself and others in. - Spiralimp ; Based on the description it seems they both have somewhat similar personalities which makes for double the trouble. I think Pyro will end up really looking up to Spiralimp and wanting to be just like her. I can sort of see both of them coming up with wild ideas together and maybe even egging each other on. I think Spiralimp and Pyropaw though will become close to each other. I can see them truly caring about each other and wanting the best for each other. I think Spiral would be able to be stern with Pyropaw if need be and can see that causing potential conflict because Pyropaw would probably be hurt if she is lectured by Spiral at all. This could result in some interesting roleplays! What is something that you would like to do with your character? ; I definitely want Pyromaniac to cause a little bit of issues with other clans in the future. Maybe she believes she is helping Hystericstar by setting fires in enemy territory, or maybe one of her ideas causes massive issues within the clan that results in Pyromaniac becoming deeply depressed and guilt ridden. I really think her personality and backstory could lead to some interesting plot ideas!
Username ; faeish Cat Name & Bio ; Faepaw [step]- Do you believe in magick? Faestep is a mysterious she-cat that is drawn more to nature than anything else. Since birth she has traveled many lands, trekking alongside her family to unknown destinations. They were a sort of troupe she had been born into, one that traveled and shared their spirituality with those who sought it. When Faestep was around 4 moons old, she was separated from her family by Twolegs and taken to their nest. Her draw to the outside world was strong, and it helped her escape from her captors. The family she held close, however, was lost to her. Despite this tragedy, her strong willpower pushed her onwards - determined to continue her family's work of bringing enlightenment to those that are lost.
( i think i will end up working on this bio more once i begin to feel out her character. (: )
How will your character work with... - Hystericstar ; I think they may inadvertently clash, as Faepaw will likely sense his distrust of others and attempt to mellow it. Her own strong sense of self and peace paired with her past makes her want to help others that have "demons" if you will (((': nonetheless i believe with time they could have a strong bond and fae could be a bit of a shoulder to lean on when times get tough.
- Whitewolf ; i think they would get along well!! i think fae might struggle to press into how he really feels too much at first but come to terms with the fact that sometimes others just need to sit in the comfort of someone else. I believe fae is a big empath and will be able to simply feel what he really has to say and just kind of vibe with him, if that makes sense! also their lack of parents could be a source of bonding)):
- Spiralimp ; i believe their relationship could go a few different ways. fae has a strong sense to try to help those in need, thus drawing her to this job-- i think spiralimp has a similar passion for her job but in more... experimental ways. i have a feeling that they would clash at times due to their different view of their position and how they view patients, but i think together they could make a fantastic team.
What is something that you would like to do with your character? ; I think eventually I would like to have fae reunite with her family-- briefly. they want her to come but she realizes that she has found her purpose among fallclan and decides to stay behind.
i also really just want to see how this character could develop as a medicine cat. i think her personality and strong spirituality could offer a different sort of healing within the clan and make for some interesting rps c:
