Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was perhaps too perfect what their deity could for them. Leila smiled as she prodded Littlestar along a well beaten path in what was once SunClan's territory. "This is your last chance to give us permission to enter whatever gives the Sun God his strength." She paused as the site came into view. It was SunClan's river, but there was a thick slab of ice over it thanks to the mist. Water rushed underneath the slab still, and it was a scene that Littlestar would know all too well. Leila leaned in close. "Think about your answer carefully..."
Littlestar looked at the cat, her paws moving slowly despite the painful prodding of the Dominon's paws. She had a deep gash across one shoulder causing her to limp along at a slow pace. Resistance, even though it was futile... They held her mate... They held her children... They held her clan.
The sight of the iced over river should have filled her with fear, but instead her face remained unreadable. A pool of calm amidst the chaos surrounding her "I refuse" her tone was even and well thought out. She swallowed hard, staring down into the red icy river below. It was like staring straight into her worst nightmare, yet the fear was like a dull edge. Painfully, but not enough to make her panic. The moment she had been captured, she had resigned herself to her fate. This time there would be no escape for her.. nor her loved ones.
Leila pushed her forward until she was standing right on the rivers' edge. I refuse. She snorted and rolled her eyes. "Of course you do. You just have to make it difficult." She again leaned in close. "We know he abandoned your Clan. Why do you still defend his castle? What does it give you to defend him? Nothing. Consider that while you're stuck under there." With that she gave the she-cat a firm push into the river and made sure to send her with enough force to dunk her underneath the ice.
Even though she tried hard to remain strong, she couldn't hold back the yip of terror that left her lips as she was pushed under the icy waves. Even though she had already accepted that it was going to happen, it didn't make the lack of oxygen any less terrifying. She fought to swim back to the surface, but the top of the river had already been frozen over. Her paws banged against the hard ice, trying to escape. Eventually her struggles grew weaker, her strength waning. The burning in her lungs to much, as she was forced to take in a breath. The icy cold water burning her throat as it rushed into her mouth. The silver queen began to go limp, slowly floating towards the river bed
Leila smirked as she disappeared underneath raging river beneath the ice. She did her best to stay on top of Littlestar as she traveled beneath the ice, and just as she popped out from underneath the ice, she was ready. As Littlestar drifted into the bank Leila pulled her up the side. "Wasn't that fun?" She smiled and pushed on the leader's chest, forcing any water out of her lungs. "Now, let's say we up the stakes a bit?" She waved her tail, and from the other side of the bank another cat brought out Skipstep. Jetclaw
Skipstep had dug in his paws as he was lead out by another cat. But he hadn't been able to do much. He was built for running, not for standing his ground against a much larger cat.
Then his heart thudded when he saw Leila drag out Littlestar from the water, his mate choking and coughing up water. "Littlestar!" He cried, eyes wide.
His ears flattened at the sight of the ice cold water, he'd had his own poor experiences with ice cold water, having had to be saved by Glowstar once when he'd given chase to her.
But that was shoved aside as he tried to rush to his mate, even if it might be playing right into the cats paws, he wanted to get to her and help her. Help her get all the water out of her lungs and pull her in close try to help her dry off and warm up. It was so cold, the river iced over, that water had to be frigid.
"Hmm, not yet." Leila and the cat that brought him over wasted no time in grabbing Skipstep as soon as he began to run towards his mate, and they brought him to the river's edge. Leila hooked her claw's into the weakened Janus's body and brought him to the ground. "Enjoy the swim." With that the two of them tossed Skipstep into the churning waters. Leila quickly turned back and lifted Littlestar's head to force her to watch her mate suffer the same fate.
Skipstep didn't have a chance to do much more than gasp, only a quick breath of air and then he hit the icy waters.
The cold hit him like a shock to his system his body spasming and he could feel his whole body tense up. Panicking he tried to claw to the surface, confused on which way was up as the water pushed him.
He pressed his mouth together, fighting to keep the ice cold water from breaching into him and filling his lungs. As the rest of him froze he could feel his lungs burning for air.
He tried to squint against the cold waters. Too cold, so cold! The cold making his limbs feel practically paralyzed and useless.
He blindly flailed trying to find something, then grunted as he slammed into the ice at the top of the river. The impact causing his grip on his breath to fail and his lungs got a blast of ice cold water instead of air and agony wracked through him as he tried to get out. Get back to Littlestar! Get out of the water.

Everything had went dark, the burning sensations fading to a welcome numbness as her body began to shut down from the cold and lack of oxygen. She could feel death closing in, just as she was jerked out of her watery grave and thrown onto the river bank. She could feel paws pounding on her chest, forcing the water from her lungs. Everything was hazy and out of focus, even as her mate entered into the river. It took several moments to register what had happened "Skipstep..." she managed to croak out, her limbs refusing to respond to her commands to rise. A painful tingingly overtaking her nerves, as her body began to warm. Her mind thrown into panic, but unable to physically react
Skipstep continued to flail under the water, he could feel his lungs spasming around the ice water in his lungs, but he slammed against the ice feeling it shift just so. He moved along the ice, then he found a gap, desperately he shoved his head through the gaps in the ice. Coughing and hacking lungs desperately purging the water and trying to take in the air he so desperately needed.
he could feel the cold water paralyzing his limbs but a weak croak from his mate made him twist trying to spot her or the bank. Ice was all around his head, and under the current was fighting to pull him under, the ice starting to press uncomfortably close to him.
She followed him over the ice, and couldn't help but let out a murr of amusement when he found a weak spot in the ice. "Cleaver, I guess we need to reset things a bit, hmm?" She and the other cat pulled Skipstep from the ice waters, and wasted no time pulling him up the sandy banks just as the mist settled in to refreeze the river. The set him close to his mate, but just out of reach for any physical contact. Leila turned to Littlestar, who clearly was barely conscious. "What a shame, I guess you aren't go to budge, are you?" She turned over her shoulder. "Bring out the next!" As two cats readied themselves over Skipstep and Littlestar to restrain them, Leila mewed again. "Is your God really worth more than your son?"
Another Dominion cat appeared on the other bank bringing Fatepaw along. Unlike them, he was not tortured or starved. He looked frail, but not weak. His light blue eyes immediately found his parents, and then the refrozen river. His heart skipped a beat at the sight of it all. He had a clue as to what happened, and what was coming next. "Mom? Dad?" His cries grew more frantic as the Dominion cats pushed him towards the edge. "MOM! DAD!"
Skipstep coughed and spluttered spitting out ice water, body shivering violently. So cold.
At the very least his fur was shorter than his poor mate's. Even though he was absolutely freezing, his fur wasn't holding the ice water as much as hers must be.
He tried to get his cold limbs to move but he was too weak with relief from being out of the water and sucking in greedy gulps of air.
Though his heart nearly stopped when Fatepaw was brought out. His eyes wide. "No! What are you doing?! Leave him alone!" He yowled, before breaking off into a coughing fit, trying to push himself up but his freezing body wouldn't obey him.

Littlestar gasped for air, each breath ragged and painful. The High Priestess struggling to even lift her head into the air as their son was dragged towards the water "Stop..." she pleaded between pants, unable to get out a full sentence, whether that was due to the pain or panic wasn't clear. She wasn't even sure if the word was even understandabe by the time it passed her lips, but the anger and fear in her eyes would be. Claws digging into the earth, as she pushed as hard as she could against the frozen ground with a roar. It was clear that she wasn't much of a threat, her numb limbs unable to even support her weight as she came crashing down once more
The cats kept going and pushing Fatepaw to the edge. Leila turned back to Littlestar. "Really? I'm not hearing any other information." With a decisive wave of her tail, the cats threw Fatepaw into the river and under the ice. "Tell me something interesting, Littlestar, and one of my cats will get him on the other side. If not... he's unfortunately on his own." Another cat held down Skipstep, making sure he did not move.
Like his mom, he had a frightening experience with water as a kit, so the icy cold hit him astounding force. He felt his muscles all tense and his mind immediately went into a panic. He tried to yowl, but only swallowed water. He tried to swim but only got slammed into the ice. His efforts were in vain, and only prolonged his suffering. He quickly used up the oxygen he had, and went limp under the ice.
Skipstep grit his teeth. "You pieces of fox dung!" He snarled as he shoved up against the cat holding him down straining despite his icy weakened muscles. "Cowards!" He howled straining against his captors he could see his son growing weaker and weaker under the water, but it was hard to tell if he was still moving when his body bumped up against the ice.
Skipstep desperately tried to thrash his way free, to force his frozen body to move, to do something to help his son.

Littlestar's tongue was just as slow and clumsy as the rest of her body, as she struggled to stand. Desperate to get to her son, and to pull him from the water the way she had as a kit. Each step just causing her to buckle to the ground further "FATEPAW" She called for him, her cries becoming more desperate with every passing minute. The truth was... she would have given them what they wanted if it was within her power to do so. Not only could she not open it for them on her own, but she couldn't speak of it either "I can't..." she made eye contact with Leia "I can't give you what you want"
Leila raised a brow. "Really? That's all you have for me? I thought you would know by now not to joke with me." She cast a glance toward her underlings, and shook her head. Not long after Fatepaw's body drifted out from underneath the ice, and none of her cats moved. "Well then, if you want to help your son you can go in after him." The cats holding Littlestar released her. "Tick tock, Littlestar."
As the cats released her, the High Priestess went tumbling down into the icy water. Her surrivival instincts screaming to get out of the water, while her motherly instincts screamed to get in. She pushed herself onto the ice, grabbing her son's scruff and roughly pulling him upwards... But in the process, her paws couldn't maintain their grip on the redend ice, sending her into the water once more... But Fatepaw... at least he still had a chance... her thoughts quickly becoming muddled, and er exhausted body gave in to the water
Skipstep grit his teeth as his mate slipped into the water, and his son was left close to the surface.
Recalling a trick he'd learned while sparring with his sister. She was arrogant and often believed herself better. He went limp in the cats grip, tightening in his lungs and tried to make himself seem weaker and raspier.
The cat holding him down would likely shift to inspect him and that's when Skipstep surged with all his might, drawing on his instincts to protect Fatepaw and his mate.
He'd let Littlestar and his previous litter down, he wouldn't fail again.
So with all the strength he could muster, forcing might into legs that wanted to remain unmoving, he surged forward and rushed like a cat possessed for the water. If he could get to them! If he could help them!
He bunched his legs and jumped landing hard on a chunk of ice sending it rocking precariously, Skipstep digging in his claws as he moved along it moving towards Fatepaw and his mate. Littlestar still had a grip on Fatepaw. At least it seemed like it but his son was so limp.
Gritting his teeth he grabbed for Littlestar's scruff and hauled her up, praying she could hold onto Fatepaw.
Leila did not mind that Skipstep broke free from his restrainers, the more the merrier. She padded her way to river banks as the three cats finally all got a hold of each other and make way for the shore. "See something funny here, Littlestar? You were impossibly weak the moment before I sent your son to his death. Then, the moment he needed you, you worked up the strength to save him." She paused. "Now imagine your clan is your son, and it is about to die. If you work up the courage to tell me what I need to know, you can save all of them." A group four Dominion cats waited for the trio as they worked their way to the sure. "Do you need another example?" I know you have a few more kids in this Clan. Maybe they should take a dive too."
