[This thread is open to any an all kits/apprentices. They have been taken by the Dominion to be "reeducated" and separated from their parents. Today their lessons begin. Please respond <3 Remember these cats were just separated from their clan and the rest of their family]
Nettle waited on the the new Apostles to be brought into the study room. It was a large circular room with plenty of room for today's lesson. These were the children of their enemies, but with some time and patience they could be turned into members of the dominion. At her side was four newborn kits that they had taken from SunClan that she would be nursing from now on. stardanceuniqcrimѕнαdow✩ @dot achromatic @ian Jetclawbiyuu ☆彡ashestoashesJadieCleaverbaublesimplylightHoneystorm
Phoenixpaw? was honestly scared. She didn't like this place. These cats or anything. She tried her best to put on a brave face, but since they'd been taken she'd gone to her nest crying wanting her mother, her father or even her sister Vividcanary. For them to do something with their janus or high priestess powers (surely they had power right? Right?!) and save them.
And when she entered the space these cat called the study room and saw this stranger with her nieces and nephews her eyes started to well up.
She wasn't their mother! The little kits didn't even know that their mama was probably worried sick and broken hearted!
She wasn't close with the litter older than her, but Ferventprayer seemed like nothing but a sweetheart even if she didn't interact with Phoenixpaw and her siblings. She didn't deserve her kits stolen.
So Phoenixpaw stood frozen, breath hitching as she fought down the desire to burst into sobs, and let the tears in her eyes fall. She wanted to go home. She wanted to go back to her mother, to her family. She'd tell all her older siblings she loved them so so much, even if they didn't like her.
Never had Phoenixpaw wished for paints, murals had been her way of processing her emotions especially that scary moment something scary came after her and her mother saved her.

Dragonpaw was ushered in with the rest of the apprentices and kits and she looked around curiously. Now, she only had three good legs to walk around on but she did just find getting around and helping provide for the clan. She still had no clue what was going on around here and there was a flair of fear, curiosity, and anger. She had heard what happened with mintkit.
Wisteriapaw had seen the whole thing and spectated, but somehow it didn't seem real. It seemed... interesting. Were they really so cutthroat? He would wait and see where things went...
Gildedkit looked around at these strange cats. They were mean, ugly, and smelled foul. She hated being here. "I want my mom!" She cried out loudly with a small whimper. She didn't know what was going on but she wanted out of here.
Phoenixpaw, fearing what might happen it Gildedkit cried out hastily rushed over. "Shh, shh," She whispered hastily, wrapping her tail around the kitten. "These cats are bad, we can't draw their ire... Stay close."
She wasn't brave enough to go and try and pry her nieces and nephews away from the evil cat, she would always be evil. Always! But she didn't want that cat to come over to Gildedkit or worse slit her throat...
But... there were four kittens at Nettle's side, she'd heard murmurings that Mintkit had died and though the kits were too far away (Phoenixpaw too afraid to get close to this evil cat) why did this cat have four newborns?
What if she'd stolen more? What if she'd shrunken one of their own and turned them into a helpless newborn?!
"They have really scary magic, just stay close it's okay." Phoenixpaw said despite her words, how she shook and the anxiousness of her tone belied anything but being okay uniqcrim

Nettle smiled sweetly as the young cats began to enter into the study. "Welcome, welcome. Come on in little ones. Now don't be frightened, you are just here to start your lessons. You will be getting lessons every day now" she chirped cheerfully as the cats filtered in. There were a lot more young ones than they had first anticipated, but all was well. It would just mean more followers for their deity. She looked down at the kits at her side and cooed softly, they were cute little things. Her own kits were a little older, but she still had plenty of milk to nurse these four through to eating solid food
A little white kit that Pheonixpaw wouldn't recognize bounced over to him, looking up wtih big blue eyes "HIYA! You must be one of our new friends. I'm Peral! I'm going to have to stop talking one the lessons begin, but we have a little bit. What is your names?!?!?" Jetclawuniqcrim
Phoenixpaw eyed Nettle warily, glancing down at the kits, throat tightening as she could definitely recognize Trufflekit and Cinnamonkit in there. Their dark brown fur so similar to their fathers.
Phoenixpaw tried to get a better look at the other two-
Only to jump and shriek when a kit suddenly approached her when she hadn't been paying attention. She pressed closer to Gildedkit both to protect but also to keep close to the little one in her own fear.
She looked at the white kit, spine arched, eyes wide, before her pounding heart slowly began to slow down.
"Ph-Phoenixpaw." She said slowly. "I-I'm Phoenixpaw."

"No you are Phoenix! Momma will punish you if you say Phoenixpaw!" Pearl replied firmly, looking over to the she-cat that was nursing the kits
"But it's ok, you are new here. You still are learning all the rule, so I am sure she won't be to strict on you yet" the little she-cat spun around in a circle, weaving through the apprentices paws while purring to get a look at the kit between her paws "And what is your name? Remember you only get one name. Not two. Two names are for bad cats, and you don't seem like bad cats to me"
Phoenixpaw's stomach dropped, feeling queasy. What? But her name was Phoenixpaw! She was going to be a warrior! She didn't want to be just Phoenix!
She opened her mouth to protest, "B-but it's my name. My mom gave it to me." She said shakily flinching as Pearl easily slid between her paws to get close to Gildedkit, Phoenixpaw wanting to stop her but afraid to try.
What was going on, who were these cats? Her ears flattened as now Pearl had gotten between her and Gildedkit, and Phoenixpaw wanted nothing more than to grab up Gildedkit and huddle close with her. She hadn't seen her other siblings yet, nor Vividcanary and even though she'd been trying to comfort Gildedkit the kit had been a comfort for her too.
Gildedkit's eyes widened as the cat slid between them and admonished Phoenixpaw for using her full name. "What kind of name doesn't have a second part? My name is Gildedkit and she is Phoenixpaw," She said proudly, holding her tail straight up. She would not call herself Gilded that was a stupid name. Phoenix was kind of a cool name but she'd rather be barked at than admit it.
Phoenixpaw didn't want to hush Gildedkit again, especially since she was standing proud so she said. "Yup, yup! now why don't you go um, go ask the others. I'm sure the other apprentices will be happy to talk to you." She said trying to urge the other kit along so she could keep Gildedkit close.
Gildedkit was older than Ferventprayer's practically newborns but Phoenixpaw didn't want to see her get hurt for this 'punishment' this strange kit had mentioned.
Fatepaw glanced nervously between all of the cats in the room. While he was glad to see the kits were okay, he could not stop a sinking feeling in his stomach. He swallowed hard and walked right up to his sister. He stayed silent, but family was all they had at the moment. Really, he wasn't sure how much he would have left after all this ended.
Another adult filed in with the apprentices. The ginger tabby brought with her another small bundle of fur. If he were in SunClan, the kitten would be apprenticed soon, but despite his age he stood close to the ginger tabby's paws. "Stag, you're a good student, you can help these cats out, hmm?" She smiled and gave the small black tom a light shove towards everyone else.
Stag lowered his head and nodded. "Yes, Leila." His pawsteps were slow, but not very careful. He almost bumped into Gildedpaw, before he stopped and said something barely audible. "I'm Stag. Just Stag. You can be just Gilded." He smiled weakly. "I like that name. All of us will."
Leila purred and gently licked the top of Gildedpaw's head. "It is a beautiful name, my dearest. I would be jealous to have it."
Phoenixpaw felt uncomfortable at Leila calling Gildedkit 'my dearest'. She could see Fatepaw out of the corner of her eye. She wanted to drag Gildedkit over to him at least between the two of them, she couldn't see Gildedkit's siblings yet but she wanted to find some security in numbers. "Um, careful my cousin's nervous around new cats." She said nudging Gildedkit closer to her and away from Leila.
It was an absolute lie but Phoenixpaw didn't like these cats and she honestly wanted them to go away. IF they weren't going to take them back to her parents, or Gildedkit back to her parents she didn't want anything to do with them and she didn't want them near Gildedkit.
Gildedkit wasn't even related by blood but she was uncomfortable with how 'friendly' these cats were acting while keeping them away from their family.
But she was also leery of being out and out about her disagreement, fearing punishments.
Gildedkit panicked and quickly scooted back out of Leila's grasp and practically crashed into Phoenixpaw, huddling close. She knew the apprentice couldn't do much but she felt so much more comfortable with a Sunclan cat. She smelled right and normal. "I don't care what you call me, I don't know you. I want my mom." She sniffled, crying softly. She pushed her face into Phoenixpaw's fur.
"I don't understand what's going on!" The calico patched she-kit wailed in a muffled voice.
--
"Jeez give them some space. They're not going to listen to you when you touch them and bark orders at them for no reason." Dragonpaw spoke up. She akwardly sat back on her haunches and amost toppled over. Her front, right leg was missing and there was a bright red scar still visible. The fur had yet to completely grow in yet and she was clumsy. Dragonpaw had gone by many names so having her name changed wasn't a big deal. Watching them scare kits wasn't funny, however.
"I am Dragonpaw, although I suppose you will call me Dragon like with these two. Why must we change our names?" The white apprentice challenged curiously.
Phoenixpaw hugged Gildedkit close. "Just give her back to her mom, call her whatever you want but she should be with her mother." She said trying to dig up a little bravery as she looked at the two older cats in the room. "She's still a kitten, and kittens should be with their parents, unless they're chosen to become janus." She said. "And Gildedkit isn't one."
Leila knew that the apprentice lied to her about Gildedkit. She saw the kitten's behavior in the moments before she walked in, no shy cat would exclaim like she did. But, Leila ignored it. She would be doing the same thing as them if she were in their position. "Well, Dragon, that is an interesting question. Like your Clan does not allow full members with single names, ours does not allow them with double names. As far as we are concerned, you are all full members of the Dominion, of course with some practical restrictions while you all adjust." She cast a glance to the amputated leg. "I can see you were injured, my apologies. Once we're done here, I'll give you some herbs to apply."
She turned her attention back to Pheonixpaw. "Well, Phoenix, there are no more Janus. All of your parents and friends that you don't see here are in your old camp initiating, or at least that's what you would call it." She paused. "You hopefully will be able to seem them soon, but that is on them. We need to make sure that they are good influences." She flicked her tail. "I would be happy to tell you more, but..." Her voice lowered to a whisper. "some things are not quite appropriate for kits."
Phoenixpaw's ears flattened against her head, when Leila said 'somethings are not quite appropriate for kits'. She could read between the lines of that line easily.
She bit back a whimper and pulled Gildedkit even closer, like somehow if she just held the kit tight and shut her eyes they'd be magically transported away. Away to some of the scenes Phoenixpaw would paint.
Phoenixpaw wanted so badly to just paint, paint and paint and somehow maybe she could paint a world that was different than the one before her eyes now.
But there was no paints around and Phoenixpaw didn't have the guts to ask for them.
"Valleyrose is a wonderful mother," Phoenixpaw said instead. "And Carnagepanic is a good friend of my sister's mate." She went on, her gaze sliding towards Ferventprayer's stolen kits again. "You wouldn't want your kits separate from you... would you?" She asked.
Perhaps they could be reasoned with. Surely if they wanted to claim they were so nurturing and kind they would understand?
"I'm sure she was a wonderful mother in SunClan, but we don't want them to keep indoctrinating their kits under a toxic god." Leila felt their pain, she really did. But she could not justify handing the young ones back over to their home clan, nor could anyone else. "Your Clan has done many dark, unforgivable things under the Sun God. We don't want you and the other young ones to follow that same path. We are giving all of you a chance to do better. A chance to be better than what your Clan wanted." She raised her brows. "There is a reason that SunClan is the most feared Clan in forest. You're large, sure. But you all slaughter those who oppose you without remorse. We don't want you to be killing machines." She lowered her head down to Pheonixpaw's level. "I wouldn't want my kits to follow in my footsteps if I was like that. I would be grateful that my kits are getting a chance to lead a better life."
