The days filled with flowers had waned as the colder weather gripped the world. And still she sat in her favorite spot, paws tucked in tight and tail neatly wrapped around them. In the reflection she could see her own silvery face and pale lilac eyes staring back at her. With every breath she breathed the water rippled in front of her, and she gave a small breathy laugh. It was strange to her how even the smallest breath could create such a large ripple in the motionless waters of the garden. "So strange," She whispered quietly before leaning forward and dipping a paw in, allowing it to slowly glide to and from on the water's surface.
"So many ripples in such little time." She realized if another cat came passing by they would probably think she was crazy. The she-cat also didn't care an ounce. Chrysoprasepaw had done their duties for the day and now they wanted to spend what little was left of it enjoying their past time. Like staring into the water and contemplating the meaning of life. It gave her purpose and plenty of time to reflect. The Japanese garden in their territory was the perfect place for it, as well. A sudden rustle in the bushes led to her startling, losing her footing, and land in the shallow pond head first. She squirmed and kicked for a moment before right herself and sitting in the sacred pond out of breath, searching for the source of her scare.
