Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For once in his busy life, Emberstar was taking some time to relax. His daughters were all off doing whatever it was they did in their free time, and the small tabby sighed contentedly. It was worrying to him that they were apprentices and warriors, out on their own, but he tried not to worry too much. After all, they were perfectly capable of fending for themselves. He rested his head on his paws and observed the rest of the camp going about their daily lives.
Jaysolstic entered the camp with several fish hanging from his jaws, he'd set out alone to hunt and patrol, taking some much needed time to himself. He still wasn't entirely over what his mother had done to him and his siblings during their apprenticeship but he was getting better day by day and putting on his warrior name gave the young tom a new sense of purpose in life. He deposited the fish onto the fresh kill pile and his gaze caught sight of Emberstar. He thought for a moment before deciding to approach. "Taking some time to enjoy the day?" he asked, offering a friendly smile.
"Yes, I decided I've earned a day off," the small tomcat responded with an easygoing smile in return. He'd come a long way since first becoming deputy; his shyness had worn off and replaced itself with gentle humility. "How has your day been going, Jaysolstice?"
"As a leader do you ever truly get the day off?" Jaysolstice replied jokingly. "I enjoyed border patrol and then a nice solitary hunt, sometimes the peace and quiet is nice." he added.
"I've always enjoyed peace and quiet," the introverted leader responded with another smile. "But then I became a father, and now I'm not sure what 'peace' or 'quiet' means," he laughed.
Jaysolstice smiled when he thought of Fireflydream who'd become a good friend of his during their apprenticeship, she had a very adventurous personality and so hadn't Jaysolstice before he'd turned into a grumpy and antagonistic fur ball since his sister's death. "At least they keep life interesting!" he responded with a small shrug. "I know I was always looking for ways to get into trouble when I was young. Pretty sure I was a menace!"
"They sure do." His grin widened as he thought of Motyxiatoxin and Fireflydream, polar opposites but both his beloved daughters. "I never have to worry about being bored," he chuckled. "And even I got into trouble as an apprentice - courtesy of Thunderstorm, of course." Emberstar was a shy, nervous goody-four-paws apprentice, but Thunderstorm convinced him to go on all sorts of misadventures.
