Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Servalswipe had had... quite the last few moons. Celestial had gone missing, which left a giant cat-sized hole in his heart. Coralsky had returned, but even the sudden emergence of his childhood best friend wasn't enough to shake his poor disposition. In fact, it had been sort of awkward to be around her, so for the most part, Servalswipe had gone into a depressive isolation.
He padded along absently, before a foreign smell crossed his nose. Instantly, his hackles raised. He wasn't good with knowing what clan was what - maybe that was DayClan scent - but all he knew was that it was definitely not Spring.
"Hey, who's there?" the tom meowed as he padded up, trying to look as intimidating as possible - which wasn't very intimidating at all. "You're not supposedta be here, so why don't you just ... bug off before someone gets hurt?" Yeah, not intimidating at all.
"You would actually hurt me?" Lucistic asked, standing up fully it became more apparent that he was likely an Eerie by his height alone. He towered over the height of most cats, but the way his acid green gaze flashed to a copper shade at the mention of harm done to him spoke volumes of his danger. Still though he sat back down and ate another head of a flower, "Go for it," He said, his mouth full, but still offering a charmed smile.
Foxdung the tom thought, his tail twitching. This was going to be harder than he thought. "I'm sure you'd like that," he countered, trying to stand extra tall. Even at his full height, though, he could be confused for an overgrown kitten. He took a step forward before dropping into a hunter's crouch. His odds weren't... great, but he supposed there wasn't anything he could do about that. He couldn't just let someone steal from them! "Well, just know you're asking for it," he then muttered, pausing just before he pounced with a 'please just go away' look in his eye.
"You figured me out fast," Lucistic commented, hardly paying attention to the tom before taking another bite out of the marigold, "It's similar to oranges, that's wild..." At least those were his last words until he was pounced, but... "You're not putting a lot of heart into this attack are you?" He asked with disappointment.
The way he said it sent a chill down his spine. Was this cat some sort of ... freak?? It would be just his luck if he was. He let out an anxious hiss, before he was practically dared once again to attack. This time, it felt like his honor was on the line, so he sent himself forward. He didn't actually collide hard into the tom, though, just hard enough to knock the marigold out of his mouth. He then quickly skuttled back, clearly not wanting to actually fight. "Look, I could even show you some cool places to eat those that ... aren't... here, if you just... uh get out. There's a nice meadow in SummerClan I could show you." Was that the best way to handle it, no. But, if he was off SpringClan territory, the stranger was no longer his problem.
"But this is my community service," Lucistic answered him honestly, "My community service to your clan is to get you out of your comfort zone, you're doing great! Attacking a cat, asking me to leave. But I need to see more assertion on your part so keep trying!"
"You think you're doing us a favor?" His eyes went wide - maybe this cat was crazy. "Who even are you anyways?" Servalswipe had never left SpringClan once, and was thoroughly unaware of the familial politics that were so familiar to most of the forest. "Surely you've got better things to do than this, right?"
"Luc," Lucistic replied, "It means your luck-y" He said booping the tom on the nose, "Besides I'm a lovely addition to SpringClan, a once in a life time guess really. You're being visited by the eldest prince of Day-" He could hardly get through without bursting out laughing now.
DayClan. So he was one of those weirdos. Weren't they... hippies or something? "Well, I don't know what kinda kumbaya y'all sing over there, but you should keep it over there," he grumbled, eyes narrowed. "I feel like I'm the opposite of lucky, by the way. Lucky would have meant I saw a rainbow or a cute bunny, not run into.... whatever this is."
"I'm weird and you think rainbows and cute bunnies are lucky?" He asked with a bit of suppressed laughter, "Wouldn't a lucky rabbit foot and then free meal be more lucky?" He enquired as he took another slow bite out of a flower head.
The tom's eyes widened. "Are you... asking me on a date?" he asked, stunned. If he was offering a free meal, that had to be it, right? (Servalswipe had never been the brightest crayon in the box). What kind of meal in SpringClan would be free, anyways? Weren't all meals he ate here free?
"Oh boy, alright, sure, we're on a date, that's what's happening right now. I mean this is just how dating works, you talk and then one day you're on a date. Get used to it man, because it happens to me a lot, now can you pass me the rosemary? Also try the marigold, it's simply delightful," He said giving him the head of the marigold.
Servalswipe for a moment felt himself wooed off his paws, a dreamy look in his eyes. It had been a long time since he'd been on a date, and he found himself passing over the rosemary with a nod before he realized that was not what he was supposed to be doing. But... maybe it couldn't hurt... Obviously this Luc fellow wasn't going to leave, so maybe if he appeased him it would be.. fine enough? He checked around them to ensure they were the only cats in the area, before letting out a sigh. "Whatever test StarClan sent me with you, I think I failed," he admitted, before taking a defeated bite of the marigold. "Wait... that's actually... not bad?"
