Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The past Romance Festival had been a mess of errors and mishaps caused by Bloodycrow in an effort to undermine Tenebrousrequiem's and Ferventprayer's relationship.
Well not their relationship specifically, but he certainly had gone out of his way to make things difficult!
And admittedly the gift swapping incident while particularly irksome had been seemingly a blip in the grand scheme of things.
Tenebrousrequiem still had to wonder who had the bright idea to take someone else's kit and then present them as a gift.
But nonetheless Tenebrousrequiem had wound up with a kit as a gift, one which he and Ferventprayer had taken back and that should've been it.
Except y'know, DayClan and SunClan shared a border and of course just as Tenebrousrequiem was marking SunClan's border (Since DayClan didn't believe in them, someone had to mark them to ensure they knew where the borders were), a familiar looking tom had popped out chasing a squirrel.
Tenebrousrequiem had paused as he stepped away from the rock he marked squinting at the tom. He looked familiar.
"You, have we met before?" He asked.
Just because it would annoy the heck out of him if he couldn't put together who this cat was and why he was familiar. At least familiar enough to stand out as a DayClan cat. He didn't know any DayClan cats aside from-
He stiffened. "You... wouldn't happen to have been brought to SunClan to be given to someone as a gift... right?"
He waited for the other cat to laugh at such a ludicrous idea, and Tenebrousrequiem could go on forgetting about the kit. Especially seeing as he was about to be an actual father soon.
He shot after the squirrel, fluffy dark tail streaming behind him as he hurtled over the ground, paws swift and confident, focus deadly. He summoned his strength for one final bound and tackled the squirrel from behind; rolling head over tail, they tumbled together and eventually came to a halt with his teeth in his prey's throat.
"Ha," he crowed, sitting upright, and only then did he turn to look at the tom talking to him. His head tilted to the side, a silent Huh? as he tried to place the familiar face as well. Trackingdestiny had been young then and more focused on the enjoyable journey than on his companions. It wasn't until the warrior spoke again that he realized that was how they met.
"That's me." He puffed out his chest. "Sorry, after a few too many kidnappings you start forgetting who returned you each time," he explained cheerily. He spoke as if it was a joke, but it was half true, honestly. He'd gone to that exchange willingly but he was young enough he didn't really understand the choice he was making. "I guess it was you, though? You and," his muzzle crinkled in thought, "the pretty lady. Is she your mate?"
