Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Life was going great. Their adjustment to clan life had taken a moment but once they’d worked out the kinks, it was mostly smooth sailing. Those few moments though, when Equitypaw had an episode or the days Doompaw seemed more annoyed by their clan mates, they set them back. Reminded them about what once was, about what they’d lost. Equitypaw struggled more on those days and felt exposed and vulnerable, almost shaken up to the point she couldn’t function. But she put on a brave face, a smile and a grin and went about her day. She trie d to hide her episodes from everyone but Doompaw always saw through her, but she couldn’t expect anything less for her best friend.
Lately, her guardian, and Doompaw’s dad, had been spending a lot of time with a certain she-cat. And Equitypaw had it in her head that they were in love. Poor Doompaw probably didn’t want to hear any of that or even imagine his dad finding a new lover. Nonetheless, Equitypaw was leading them after Fadingsights, stalking the older tom, even though that’s not what she’d told Doompaw they were doing. But why would her best friend, and secret crush, think she wanted any thing more than to go for a walk and hang out. Nope, definitely not to see if she’s right and that Fadingsights and this she-cat were lovers! “Common on, slow poke!”

Despite her urging him to move on, his paws hit the ground at the same speed as before. Casual and relaxed. He gave her a smile reserved only for her. A crooked and warm smile complete with the slightest of head tilts. "Who set your fur on fire? Is there something you wanted to do?" As usual, Doompaw had a casual air about him as if he had all the time in the world. Sometimes, he felt like he did. Who knows, maybe he would have all the time in the world. But he wasn't sure about his best friend and the person who mattered most to him in the world.
(Ok so this is set just before they announce that their mates. Like they’re gonna do taht while out and don’t realize the two apprentices are following them, sound good?)
Flawedperpsective was waiting at the white tree, a common spot for liver sto meet up at and one the twig them frequented lately. She was anxious and excited, practically dancing in her spot as she watched stage lands around her for her lover to step forth. They hadn’t told their children get about their relationship, wishing to see how things would go after so long apart. But Flawedperpsective couldn’t hold these words in any longer and had to get them out.
Equitypaw nearly tripped when she attempted to walk backwards long enough to speak to Doompaw. Stumbling, but managing to regain her balance quickly, she flashed him a smile. “Nope! Not at all but you’re walking so slow!” She didn’t want to tell him but to show him, for he’d just spout back that’s he was daydreaming again. Or maybe this time he’d tell her she was hallucinating and drag her off to the healers. Or even just his normal eye roll, smirk and then walk away like she said the sky was purple. So she wa showing to show him, and prove herself right, and then he’d understand that there was love in the air!

Fadingsight was practically bursting with excitement as he left to meet Flawedperspective at the white tree. Someone might suspect he was a young warrior or maybe even an apprentice once again with the spring in his step. He had never been able to see her but he imagined that she was the prettiest cat to ever walk these lands, she surely smelled the best and had the sweetest voice. Or maybe it was years of secretly loving her that made it that way, but he didn't care. He had learned it wasn't good to keep things kept quietly in your heart it only led to heartbreak. As he got closer her smell got stronger and he smiled, "You're here early."
He mrrowed in amusement at her sudden urgency and picked up the pace a little bit, "Well I better get a move on then, shouldn't I?" He bumped her shoulder gently and playfully. He loved walking side by side like this as if there wasn't a care in the world.
