Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. He knew it was unorthodox for SunClan cats to hunt at night, but he just really needed some peace and quiet away from the hustle of the Clan's camp. Their mysterious enemies had not directly attacked them for some time, but the fear was in everyone's hearts, his included. Every pawstep the light tabby took was careful and calculated. One wrong step could result in a life-altering injury. His mother had too much on her plate already, she didn't need her careless son falling into a pit added on top. Such thoughts certainly distracted the young tom. He hardly noticed the prey that heard him coming from miles away, nor anything else for that matter. He trapped himself in his own head with his thoughts.
