Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Nightfury stared up at the sky, and then finally it happened. Two shafts of light came down from the sky. The first illuminated Lacelily, and the next illuminated Vividpaw. Now he had to figure out which was which. Great. He sighed and walked back up to the perch. "So, the Sun God has spoken. I welcome, as our newest Janus, Vividcanary!" He wasted no time moving onto Lacelily. "Now, as our Soothesayer promised, we welcome Lacelily!" He almost ran off the perch as soon as he could. It was more than he had spoken in a long time. Despite having already been a janus for most of her kithood and as she grew older, Lacelily found this as a shock. Had she really been chosen as soothsayer promise?! It seemed unreal. What seemed even more unreal was Nightfury, that was the most she had heard him speak in all the time she'd been around him so far. Did that mean she was supposed to train with him? Would he talk to her? All the questions in her mind made her head spin but she pushed them aside and pushed her chest out with pride, moving forward to congratulate Vividcanary on becoming janus. "Congratulations on becoming janus!" She purred with a smile. They would be spending a lot of time together, may as well be friendly. Jadie
Littlestar looked between the two cats with an approving nod, glad that her granddaughter and daughter had both received a promotion. "Before we proceed, there is one last ceremony to complete" she made a mental not to go over the words of these ceremonies with Nightfuy again as he fumbled through the proper words to use. It was sloppy, but the ceremonies were complex and it was his first attempt
""Initiate Dark, you have worked hard serving SunClan, and learning the ways of the Sun God. You've proven that you can act as a part of SunClan, and you can work as a part of SunClan, but now, the Sun God will tell us if you truly have the heart of a SunClan cat. Step forward, Initiate, and let the Sun shine on your souls." Shadowbladeღ

Dark knew this day would come, a bit surprised it wasn't timed with the many other initiate's or at least with any of those he had came here with by Yarepawn's lead but maybe that was intentional. Was it supposed to better examine them one by one? Or scare them by making them isolated to better weed out the failures? He knew what could happen here today, he wasn't one to trust easily but he grew accustomed to the little family and friendship he had with their group and was trying to see the benefit of expanding it with this entire complex of cat colonies- no clans. There was plenty of time to run away but he felt intrigued by the order and histories, the murals he could participate in, the mysteries that befell them in strange, carefully made traps. There were even those who spoke less than pleasantly of the cats he was now surrounded by giving him every excuse of a red flag to leave if he so wanted... even picking this darn sunflower was a last chance.... but that was never even an option in his mind, now was it?
All the learning he had done, and occasionally mental rehearsing he did in his head went out the door now that he was here. Was he supposed to say something? No, stick to the script. The stem of the sunflower he held felt like it was going to be crushed into nothingness in his grip as he felt the weight of the potential outcome increasing and blood rushing in his ears getting louder and burning hot. All of it could mean nothing right here, his studies come to cease and those mysteries forever unsolved to him. But then I guess it wouldn't be his problem anymore if it did? He calmly exhaled a sigh that seem to make everything go still and the weight disappear as he stepped forward.
He placed his sunflower down before him, it's color so dark it could've rivaled a Chianti sunflower or a Chocolate Cherry Sunflower but this one had an unmistakable ring to it, like an eclipsed sun that convinced him this one in this moment for some reason was the one. A Shock-O-Lat Sunflower, rare enough to still be growing this late out of it's season.
But what if was a mistake? What if he should've chosen the more obvious common sunflower? One growing in season? One more withered to look like the sun, or maybe he should've pulled off all the yellow petals to be left with the pointed green leaves to best resemble a sun?
(Clearly I never decided on the sunflower so let me know if they have meanings or if i should change it)

Just because Fatepaw yielded didn't mean that Amitykit did. She took him flopping over as even more reason to continue her attack but, thankfully for the new apprentice, Valleyrose was right there to pull the kit away. She sat her daughter between her paws and licked her head, "That's quite enough, my dear."
She then turned her sunstone eyes to Fatepaw and couldn't help but let out a giggle, "I warned you! She's a feisty one." stardance

"Sure thing, Joypaw. I'd be honored," Perfectstorm replied, glad that she'd decided to stick with him. She was right - he did have a lot more things that he wanted to teach her. racer

Vividcanary had been praying feverishly for many days to be selected for Janus and was overjoyed when her wish came true. She gave Nightfury a big smile and then silently sent another prayer to the Sun God: thank-you!

Yarepawn watched Dark step forward with an honest smile on her face. He'd always been one of her very favorite followers, which meant it came to no surprise to her that he was one of the first to reach full Warrior status.
