Flyingcolors was surprised at the cat's outburst as well. She had only seen apprentices throw fits such as that over tiny things. She was worried for a moment that this patrol may spiral downhill and most of them were not even trained to fight. When Lakota suddenly appeared to calm the other Regime cat, her fur sat down and she did everything in her power to keep the smile off of her face at Glowstar's words. She knew that was not an empty threat from their leader, Glowstar never did any such thing. She really would call them anything she could think of that was relevant. The Dayclan medicine cat would give a day's fresh-kill to see it too.
Drawn out by the commotion, Commander Mars was standing at the entrance to Headquarters. The first cat he spotted was Diana. She gave him an irritated glare, but his only response was the same mischievous smile that he always gave his sister. She wasn't a bad cat after all. She was just a bit prickly. When he realized that DayClan cats were with her and the other Regime cats that were accompanying her, his smile changed. It still held the same charismatic charm that Mars was known for, but was more guarded at the same time. DayClan was the Regime's allies, but a more formal way of speaking with them would still be necessary. "I've been expecting you Glowstar. I hope you didn't have too much trouble on your journey?" It was a subtle way of asking if that commotion he'd heard a few minutes ago had interfered with her trip to see him. He could have asked openly, but that might seem a bit too forward and it would definitely upset a few members of the Regime if he were to accuse them of doing something they did not do.
"Oh you know, makes me almost homesick for the place. The hostile tones and the we hate everything vibe, same sweet home as I left it," Glowstar said, a smile playing at her lips, "How about you Commander, things doing well?"
Wispyfeather glanced around, she had been expecting to see her kits, but she supposed it wasn't time yet. When Renegade came to save them she felt confident that her kits were in the best place possible to be loved and cared for, but after the greeting she was becoming anxious. Her claws scratched up against her legs nervously.

Fjord was walking by and overheard his name, and the voice that brought it up, and ran to find a hiding spot. He also starts to cry, cuddling his pinecone crown in his paws.

Limavady noticed her fidgeting, then wondered if The Regiment seemed like bad guys. Were they really so intimidating? No, we're not all bad guys, his internal monologue began.
"If you were worried about Diana, it's not that she hates anything really. She does come off as a bit stiff sometimes I suppose..." He then shook his head. "But if you were mistreated on your way in, I do apologize. They were instructed to treat you as guests." He would look into that later, but for now, he probably needed to smooth things over. "I've been well thank you." He glanced up when he heard the squeak of a bat overhead. Thank the Blind Protector they had finally gotten rid of that infestation. That would be a bit unseemly in front of the DayClan cats after all. When he noticed Wispyfeather, he smiled. "Would you all like to see the kits you left with us? I can assure you they are being well taken care of in Post Kilo." As a father himself, he could imagine that being separated from ones kits could be stressful and while he would normally never take an outside group into Post Kilo, he would make an exception this once since their little ones were still being cared for there.

Astrid had heard all the nearby commotion and the grey-streaked tortoiseshell raiser appeared from nearby. Her green eyes flashed curious glances at the Dayclan cats but the old cat just looked at Commander Mars. "I can take her to see her kits if she'd like. It is easy to get lost in the tunnels." Despite growing old and her paws being less steady than before, she had lived in these tunnels for so long that she knew every twist and turn.
Flyingcolors glanced around, hoping to see her sister. Her mother was long dead and she gotten the opportunity to meet the previous regime cat in starclan during her naming ceremony, but her littermates that were still alive she had only gotten a glance of during the battle-if you could even call it that-with Sunclan.

Limavady's pelt prickled as his thoughts spiraled. He might have to tattle-tell on Lakota. It terrified him as much as it secretly pleased him. Maybe she'd break his legs, but maybe watching her get reprimanded was worth it? Inside, he was chuckling. For all the times she'd spent picking on him, he'd really love to watch her ego deflate and writhe underneath Mar's command... No, he wouldn't say a word. Not against his own kin. Besides, would Lakota learn anything? Would broken legs really be worth a day's worth of spiteful laughter? Hm. He stopped cackling inside, wondering what the best decision for himself would be. Maybe he could blackmail her later for it. Hmm.
Mars nodded to Astrid. "Take Basil with you." Precautions still had to be taken after all. He could not allow a cat into Post Kilo without some sort of guard and perhaps this would be a chance for his wayward son to prove himself capable of handling a small bit of responsibility. He had been lingering nearby anyway and he could already sense the brown tabby tom looking this way upon hearing his name.

The tortoishelle raiser nodded at Commander Mars before turning to the Dayclan cats. "I am Raiser Astrid. If you follow me then you will be able to see your kits." She indicated with her tail for them to follow and flicked her ear at Basil. He almost certainly heard the commander's orders so the old she-cat would not reiterate it. Without hesitating, she began to walk down the tunnel and stoped at the first bend for them to catch up. A clan cat caught in the tunnels alone would be as good as crowfood if found by a regime cat.
Basil padded over to join Astrid. While he didn't like the idea of taking an enemy into Post Kilo, he knew better than to openly defy Mars. Instead he kept his mouth shut and took up a position behind their guest as he waited for them to move.
"Wow. You just scarred that tyke for your life, what are you doing, oh my gosh," Xuxa said sarcastically padding up beside Gardenia. They were both horrifically scarred, it was what made her feel so close to Gardenia. She didn't feel ugly around Gardenia she just felt like her sister. A warrior who went through a lot with someone who knew what that was like. Gardenia and she had both been attacked at around the same age, close to being a young apprentice, but Gardenia had been younger when she was attacked, Xuxa's was a spy mission gone wrong. She nuzzled into Gardenia, "You really worry too much."
"She's not wrong, you know," Soigne commented blithely, stepping toward them and casting an amused glance over the small group. "Between the two of you, those kits must think the whole Regime is a horrific mess." Not that she was much better - after all, there was no hiding the deep claw marks scoring the left half of her face, or the blue eye resting there that was definitely not hers. It wasn't purple, but it wasn't a bad color, so she had thought it might be an improvement; it wasn't, and every moment she wore it Soigne grew to loathe her new eye all the more intensely.
"Ha. Ha. Very funny. Not like I haven't heard that one before," Gardenia deadpanned, rolling her eyes at her more childish sisters. Despite her sarcasm, however, she couldn't help but smile at Xuxa and Soigne's presence; the Superior felt much more at ease when she was close to them. Not to mention more confident that she really wasn't doing anything wrong while caring for these young tykes. "They're asleep anyway, so for the moment they won't be terrified by our ugly mugs." A more soft, loving smile crossed her face as she looked down at the Dayclan kits again, and for a moment she felt her gaze become transfixed on them. Until one of them squeaked in their sleep, and the she-cat nearly jumped out of her fur before letting out an amused chuckle. "Motherhood is most definitely more of your thing than mine...I'm sure the both of you will hate to see them go."
Glowstar gestured for Wispyfeather, Snowprince, and the rest of their family to follow, but she remained by Commander Mars. Glowstar looked to Commander Mars and bumped him playfully across the shoulder, "You're a good guy, Commander. Even if Renegades known for being sticks in the mud and DayClan's known for being too peaceful I think we can get along. It's why I wanted to talk about land. I want to give you a trial run of DayClan's underground for two moons. We have an underground forest that I'm sure could bring in some new prey. On some safety terms of course, but what do you think? Would you like it?" She smiled.
For a cat rumored of being questionable acts her smile was as pure as sunlight. She had the kind of eyes that brightened with her smile, her entire body seemed to lift and glow at her own joy. There was a genuine happiness she felt towards Mars hoping he'd like the gift that at a distance someone could assume her to think of him as a close friend.
"Go? No. They love me too much, I raised them, they won't leave me, I'm sure of it," Xuxa said nuzzling the little ones, "Besides they wouldn't like it up there, it's so much better in Renegade, I'm sure of it. Why else would mom have wanted us to come live back where she was born? It was so good she couldn't even be without it for much longer."
