Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
@dot for mac and alfie c; He was the Big Mac. He was big and tough and brave, and he could handle anything. Anything, he decided, except for that.
Mac n' Cheese let out a loud scream, his body rushing to scramble away from the tiny spider. He had just wanted to take a nap under the sun, so he had chosen a quiet place behind the nursery. His lovely nap had come to a sudden stop when a spider had so rudely tickled one of his whiskers, sending the poor orange tabby into shock. His amber eyes remained on the tiny speck of pure terror and destruction as he tripped over his own paws, nearly ramming himself into someone behind him.
Alfredo better known as Alfie had been taken a lovely cat nap when his brother's scream jarred him out of his slumber. "Do you mind some cats are trying to sleep here!" He snapped as he stomped out of the nursery rounding the corner to see what could of possible scared his brother. The ivory color tom stopped behind his brother only for his brother to ram straight into him knocking him off his paws with an audible "Oof."
Mac hadn't let his gaze move off of the spider for even a millisecond, so he wasn't entirely sure who he had run into at first, but he didn't really care who it was - so long as it wasn't Ravioli. "S-s-s-sp-spider!" he finally managed to get out, his totally-not-trembling body pushing itself even further into Alfie.
Alfie stared at Mac like he had grown two heads. He leapt to his paws so he could look in the direction that Mac was facing. He made a face rather disgusted by the sight of the small spider. He had no doubt in his mind that the spider was probably one of Ravioli's little pets. A shiver ran up his spine, but he slapped on a brave face pushing past his brother so he could approach the spider.
Mac was more than willing to let Alfie be the brave one this time around. He cowered behind his brother, his head poking out so that he could glare at the tiny menace through teary eyes. Not even the scardiest of cats would be afraid of his glare, but he thought he had forced the spider back a step with the power of his hatred. In reality, the spider hadn't even moved, even as Alfie approached. Silently, Mac cheered for his brother, but he hadn't been able to get the words past his throat.
Alfie got down to eye level with the offending creature. All eight eyes were staring at the two cats and the spider remained unmoving. Alfie made another face he was sure if he could change colors his face would of changed to a sickly looking green. As the spider caused his stomach to be upset. "You are one ugly fellow." He commented before he used his paw to bat the spider away from him.
For just a split moment, Mac was overcome with love for his brother. What a wonderful sibling he had, to save him from this deadly encounter. He couldn't be more reliev-
"GYAAAAAA!"
The scream echoed throughout the camp as the flung spider landed smack dab in the center of the poor tabby's face. His orange eyes went cross-eyed to stare at the beast, and his tears spilled over. There wasn't a single part of his body that wasn't trembling in terror. "ALFIE! I HATE YOU!"
"OOPS!" Alfie exclaimed his paw flying to his mouth. No one ever said that Alfie has great aim. If Mac had paid attention when the siblings played mossball. Alfie always somehow managed to send the ball in the opposite direction as he had intended. "I'm sorry Mac!" He yelped tears prickling at the corner of his eyes. "Here let me help you! I didn't mean to!" He meowed trying to approach his terrified brother.
"NO! Stay away from me, you traitor! You monster! You want this evil monstrosity to kill me, don't you! You want my spot in the nursery because it's warmer than yours! You back-stabber! You-you stupid furball!"
Mac had begun flailing as he shouted whatever insults he could think of, which caused the spider to fling itself further into his fur, thus provoking yet another scream from the kit. "Get it off! Please!"
"Wow so mean Mac' n Cheese." Alfie pouted his eyes looking a little mister than they were before. Alfie rarely ever used his brother's full name and had only ever called the orange tom Mac, but in this situation it called for his full name to be used. "You just said you didn't want my help!"
If Mac had been in a better mental state, the use of his full name would have terrified him. Currently, however, there was nothing more scary than the small little murder bug on his face. On the bright side, he no longer had that good of a view of the spider. On the down side, he no longer had that good of a view of the spider. He shook his head vigorously, both in response to Alfie and an attempt to remove the spider. "That was before! This is now! The situation has changed, Alfie! I'm going to be eaten alive!"
"Where is Ravioli when you need her." Alfie mumbled as he began to approach his brother once more. He didn't understand what his sister's obsession was with these creatures were. He truly found them disgusting. "Hold still!" He sang as he raised his paw bring it down to whack Mac on the nose.
For some reason, Mac had put his full trust back into his brother again. The moment that Alfie's paw smacked into Mac's face, he had decided right then and there, he was never going to trust Alfie ever again.
"OW!"
Whether he had actually managed to take care of the spider or not, Mac had no idea. All he knew was that his face was in pain. A stinging, throbbing pain that radiated throughout his entire face. "You broke my nose!" he screamed, although his nose was actually fine.
