SUNCLAN "And here I thought we were playing nice." Foxstar commented, hardly having spared Limavady more than a glance. Given Gardenia's close proximity, it wasn't enough to miss her expression, however brief. And even if she had, Flyingcolor's words tickled her ear just barely, and the she-cat offered a smile in turn, as if she'd just learned some closely guarded secret. Tilting her head slightly, she lifted one paw, twirling it in a 'get on with it' motion as the tom blabbered on, seemingly unaffected by the growls around her. "Take them. But I, and those SunClan cats already here, will be joining you until the border. It's the only way I can ensure they leave without harm." Now, this wasn't her entire reasoning. The Regime, she could believe had pure motives, despite their temperament. WinterClan? Their leader had already proven to not care for her borders with Littlebird's kitting, and she didn't doubt he'd be making use of the confusion even now.
Mountainsound stepped into camp only a few heartbeats after Jetclaw. She wasn't nearly so fast, nor could she move as carefree given her blindness, but she'd made a wise use of her time. Her ears, at least, caught Littlebird's questions towards the warrior, and she was relieved that the she-cat had made it out alright after all. "DayClan and SpringClan attempted an escape, and Foxstar halted them. A NightClan patrol showed up, demanding their release, so Foxstar took one of Burningstar's lives, and fighting broke out. Right when Foxstar called SunClan off, the Renegade Regime and WinterClan rushed in, with a patrol of cats each, surrounding her. They too, are demanding the clans' freedom." Her words were clipped and to the point, briefly explaining what had transpired between the clans. She may be blind, but she could hear well enough. "Jetclaw and I were the only two who have made it out. As of now, all we know is freedom was demanded, but we don't know Foxstar's answer, or whether they'll let her go, regardless of her response."

SUNCLAN So things truely were as bad as she had feared. She had Foxstar had already planned for the eventuality that DayClan and SpringClan would attempt escape, even that a few clans might try an assisit them. However there was no way that SunClan would be able to defeat DayClan, SpringClan, Renegade Regime, NightClan, and WinterClan at once. She had to trust the Foxstar had something in mind, some way to make the impossible happen. Even if she were to rush out to assit, she would only get in the way at this point. Instead she would focus on keeping their camp secure. With Leatherstar involved in this, it was only a matter of time before he came for her. She narrowed her eyes at the entrance "I suspect we escape today without a fight" she looked at the two she-cats and dipped her head "Let's treat your wounds and allow you to rest. It's only a matter of time before the fight makes it this far"

SUNCLAN "I'm perfectly alright." Mountainsound assured, offering a small smile. "It is those who are left behind that I'm concerned about." Those she rather disliked the she-cat, Autumngossamer hadn't sounded as though she was in the best of shape with her screeching when the fighting had been going on. Foxstar and Skipstep as well were likely not in the best of shape. After all, both had rather... eventful days recently that impacted their health, whether it be being attacked by the DayClan leader, or taking a dip in a freezing cold river.
"Should a patrol be sent out to ensure that the SunClan guards and Foxstar remain unharmed?" Zendikdominance suggested, padding forth. Everyone was listening intently to the report, of course, and the tom offered a low bow to the cats present, that charming gleam to his violet eyes. "And to make sure that prisoner and avenger alike keeps their paws to themselves. It need not be too big, just enough to keep an eye on them, or to aid the injured during their return to camp." SunClan land was sacred, and the fact that they now had five clans of cats even in a portion of their land was troubling, to say the least. Who knew if someone would break away in the confusion and decide to take advantage of the chaos?
Burningstar let out a breath of relief when Foxstar finally agreed to let the cats go. There were two options for them to go towards. Either the DayClan border or NightClan border. Burningstar would’ve preferred NightClan as they had herbs and prey and could help care for the weakened clans for a day or so before allowing them to move on. But she also understood the two clans might rather go to their homes.
“We will travel as one unit then,” Burningstar said in response to Foxstar, it’d keep Foxstar from getting antsy about the Regime or WinterClan perhaps staging an attack. But also ensure SunClan couldn’t take half of the cats if they split up. “My offer to you still stands Glowstar, you and your cats will be welcome to rest in NightClan before returning to your territory. Unless you’d rather us take you back to DayClan territory.”
SunClan
“I’m fine, mountainsound’s right, my brother is much worse off,” Jetclaw meowed. “I’m to stay with you though, while there’s WinterClan cats around I’m not taking any risks Littlebird.”

SUNCLAN "ideally" she replied to Zendikdominance, as they approached the gathering group of cats listening into the report. Sending out a small patrol to assist the others would ideal, but it was also of upmost importance to keep their camp safe. Otherwise, SunClan would have no where to take their injured or to fall back to should the worst come to pass. It seemed like most of these clans were only here to support DayClan and SpringClan in gaining their freedom, and her hopes were they would leave after their goal had been reached. However, she wasn't going to risk SunClan based on a hope. There were many cats that were angered by the actions of SUnClan, and would take advantage of this opportunity to seek their revenge upon the clan that had imprisoned them. "But it is not as simple as sending out a patrol of random warriors. We shall need to be selective, else we risk causing more harm than good" If she sent a large force, it could end up ending any talks of ending the violence should the other clans feel threatened. She needed a group of cats that could move stealthy, cats that wouldn't stir up any more trouble and tip the balance in the precarious situation they had been placed into.

Green eyes squinted. Did anything get through to this she-cat? How could Foxstar pretend to be calm in all the turmoil, presenting herself as debonair and domineering at the same time? He had many questions about her. How often did the blood of her enemies stain those paws? Did the phantom in her eyes suggest emotional detachment or just a mere thirst for pissing people off? Now that's kind of sexy. Limavady felt his heart pitter-patter. Hey, cut it out! One of his ears flicked down and to the side, leaving him looking a bit confused. This is why we never leave the tunnels. Devil she-cats run rampant out here. He huffed and spat, waving his tail indecisively back and forth. If only he could take a bite out of that one. Foxstar was probably extremely annoying anyway, from the looks of all this mess laying around. Whatever.

SUNCLAN "I can go." Mountainsound suggested. "There are injured back there, and it would be unwise for you to go out, given the situation. I can start treating the injured and help them back to camp while the rest of the patrol keeps an eye on everyone else." She could fight if necessary, but that had never been her path in life. Hers was one meant to help others, and regardless of her feelings about certain cats, she wasn't about to leave them to die of their injuries. Besides, she, much like Jetclaw, was focused on keeping Littlebird's kits safe. If Leatherstar caused any trouble, she'd be the first to act, but only after having been given adequate reason.
Glowstar thought of convincing WinterClan and SunClan to say no to that suggestion. That because DayClan was engulfed in feet of snow they couldn't return back to their camp and had to find a new one and SunClan shouldn't know about it. But their new camp would likely be the Keepers Mansion right by SunClan's border, there was no way they wouldn't know where they'd be at. But still... Her ears flattened upon hearing WinterClan come in as she slowly turned to Leatherstar with vague amusement, "Aww, you do care."
She glanced back to Foxstar, "Yeah I don't think NightClan, Renegade Regime, or WinterClan should give you the pride or superiority to walk us back as if you have any bit of control in this situation. I think if any of you follow, they should attack because you're very much a threat."
She looked back at the Superiors Gardenia and Limavady, "We were captured because Foxstar put her claws up to our kits threatening to kill them. She's not below anything and I don't think that she deserves a compromise."
RENEGADE REGIME
"OH MY GOD YOU MONSTER!" Sean practically screamed at Foxstar, "How dare you, any good clan leader would back down if their kits were in danger. You didn't win in a battle, you won by playing dirty. We don't follow the warrior code, but we would never do something like that! You don't deserve to be a leader and how dare you even call Glowstar your sister!" Sean hissed feeling Glowstar's stare burning the side of his head, but when he looked at Glowstar for once she wasn't glaring at him.

Limavady could sense the air becoming frigid once again with Sean's words. Wow, she's a real crazy, isn't she? We could get along. We could toy with her. It would be fun, c'mon. Limavady sighed at himself. Cut it out, cut it out. "That's truly vile." He tried to say it as evenly as he could, without the curiosity he held within. What was it that made cats get that wild? Deep down, he wanted to know more. He wasn't afraid of the sick or the creepy. Most of the time that characteristic got him into trouble. For now, he would walk away from it. He would follow his Commander because without Mars, surely he would make the wrong mistakes.
More moodily, he snapped, "Time to leave. We can't stop you from walking on your own territory, but if you get within claw's reach, your pelt is mine."
Post by Honeystorm on Jan 12, 2019 12:38:15 GMT -5
SUNCLAN Foxstar's gaze drifted to Sean a moment, and she held it there as he yelled at her, before offering nothing more than a shrug of her shoulders. "Winning is winning, no matter how it happens, Sean. SunClan's code has no requirement to protect those not within our ranks, whether they be fully grown or just born. We do not hold ourselves to the same standards as you have chosen, and our loyalty is to our own. I don't expect those not in my own clan to hold to my standards, so don't hold me to yours."
With that, the Priestess stepped towards the prison's exit, and in particular, to just outside of the Scout Superior's reach, ivy eyes briefly connecting with his. "Don't tempt me. I think I might enjoy that." Her tone was light as she spoke to him, almost playful. But even so, all it took was one look at Burningstar to know that she could back up her words with a real threat.

WINTERCLAN
"Shush Crimsonrose, Foxstar has announced she will allow the prisoners go. So now we have one last task of good faith to perform so we look like we came here for more than a show." Leatherstar meowed as he turned to seat himself in the masses facing Foxstar. He and WinterClan would assure the fierce she-cat would hold her word and allow the captives to return home in peace. A leader going back on their word seemed among the things Foxstar may not be below. He leveled his gaze on Foxstar while Burningstar and the others prepared themselves for their leave.
SUNCLAN
Whitemagnolia had chosen not to shed blood today. She was bound by her blood to follow Foxstar's orders weather she was pleased by them or not. However her ears burned with delight and her heat skipped as the fox figured leader announced the clans dismissal. Her blue eyes searched the crowd frantically for Soaringdawn.

RENEGADE REGIME Elsie felt just as much disgust as Sean. "How disgusting." She commented flippantly and quietly, more to herself than anything. Not even the Regime would harm kits, they were precious and should be treated as such. They had cats who devoted their entire lives to the kits because they saw their value in the future and knew that those tykes would be the future of not just the Regime, but the entire world surrounding them. She looked away from Foxstar and to Gardenia, clearly waiting for their orders. Would they help transport the clans they saved or consider their job done and return to their land?
DAYCLAN Flyingcolors felt slightly disappointed as the cat she knew only as Floweringkit met her eyes and quickly looked away. She was hoping maybe her sister would have offered acknowledgement or hope to reconnect but there was nothingness there. No room for a cat she had never known.... the medicine cat shook the thoughts from her head. She could address this issue later, but for now what was important was getting her clan home and doing what she could to heal them. She was worried that her once well stocked supplies would be gone and useless, it would take time to restock them and Flyingcolors was not in her best shape either.
SUNCLAN Littlebird nodded in agreement. Most cats knew that mountainsound was not a violent cat, and she would pose little threat. She also had the experience to assess the situation, and to get those who needed the most attention back to camp. "I will place you in charge of this patrol Mountainsound. You have the experience and wisdom to keep the younger members out of trouble" she looked around the clearing for those that should go with her. "Take three warriors with you and two apprentices. The three warriors will assist you in moving the wounded, and serve as your protection. The two apprentices shall carry your herbs, and serve as messengers. Should things take a turn for the worse, send them both back here with news so that I may send reinforcements. Try to stay hidden, and be discrete"
NightClan Burningstar sighed, she couldn't tell if Glowstar had heard her. She came up to Glowstar. "If Foxstar wants to come with she can," Lowering her voice she added. "It'll mean we'll at least have her in our sights." She said to Glowstar.
She understood Glowstar's concern and it was true that Foxstar in close proximity was dangerous, her crimson covered front attested to that. However, Burningstar suspected that if they forced Foxstar to let them to travel alone, there could perhaps be an ambush set up somewhere? Or the leader would do something. If Foxstar wanted to walk them to the border, whether they head to NightClan's or DayClan's, Burningstar felt like it was a small concession to get the imprisoned clans out as soon as possible.
Perhaps Glowstar was worried about Foxstar seeing where DayClan went? Then maybe she should command the groups to head to NightClan.
In fact it was probably best, NightClan... owed a debt to these cats for what happened. They could allow them a brief rest before sending them on their way.
"Let's take SpringClan and DayClan towards NightClan territory." Burningstar said loudly for the other groups to hear. "The Regime and WinterClan may follow us over the border, but SunClan will remain on their territory after we cross the border." She looked towards Foxstar. "And if SunClan does not abide by this there will be retaliation." She warned.
She figured that would assuage Peachstar's concerns, if WinterClan and the Regime were around he might feel that NightClan would be less likely to become the new jailers... if that was even a concern at this point, seeing as Burningstar had lost a life for this. But she doubted Peachstar would forgive her or NightClan for the role in the death of one of his warriors... something that Burningstar still regretted.
SunClan
Feinpaw came forwards, "I'll go." He said quietly glancing around before focusing on Littlebird once more.
Jetclaw set about licking one of her scratches trying to soothe the sting a bit.

SUNCLAN "Me too." Lochflare announced just after the apprentice besides him. He did not want to sit around camp licking wounds he did not have when there was work to be done.
"Leadership lesson number one, if someone walks over you once, they'll make it their path for life. If you want to let Foxstar kill you and then allow her to call the shots, then that's how you lead I guess. But not me," Glowstar said before leaning her head to the side signalling DayClan's attention, "Alright DayClan, let's ditch this place. If you have to go make dirt do it now, we're not taking dirt breaks."
Glowstar padded forward to the entrance, her vigilant eyes looking over every DayClan and SpringClan cat to ensure they were attending. Peachstar was a new leader and she wouldn't let him having a tragic ending where he forgot a cat. She wanted to breathe out relief, but it was too early. For moons cats asked when they'd leave. They wanted her to somehow get them out despite being surrounded by three clans. Acting form the heart and being honest to Kerrigan had worked in her favor. WinterClan eventually got the hint when she kept asking them to invade where she planted those runaways to meet them. Meeting with Kerrigan also taught her who the missing clan was that was meant to be captured, Renegade Regime. Wispyfeather's kits were just plain good timing and stealing them to give to the Regime gave them the perfect insensitive of how desperate things were. It also through Foxstar off enough to think she just stole some kits and wasn't conspiring. All this and the fact that she hadn't expected NightClan's aid at all. It worked out almost too well... Of course they were a moon late, but hey, she tried.

"If you are injured then I can take a look but find someone to help you walk if you need it." She told the Dayclan cats sternly. She padded over to her apprentices and gave her a once over, only satisfied when she did not see any wounds on the young cat before looking around at some of their warriors. "Once we return I want those injured to be outside of my den. There will be no moving or hunting for those cats until I say they're ready." It was unlike her to give orders or be as strict as she was just then but the blue merle was worried about losing cats, they still had a long journey back to their camp. They were all tired and hungry and just finished waging a war for their freedom. Her gaze passed over to Glowstar and she gave a nod that she was ready.
Lupusmoon squinted his eyes and stood up, gingerly touching his paws to the ground. He wasn't young like he once was and his leg stung where the young cat had bitten down hard.
Fadingsight weaved through the cats slowly and carefully, using all his senses to navigate and search for Fawnheart. She had been so kind and gentle to him while they were here and he was hoping to be close to her one last time before Dayclan left. A strange and somehow sad sensation passed over him as he realized he wouldn't be able to be around her the way he had been able to here. Not only was she Springclan, but she was also their medicine cat.
