Doefreckle limped into the clearing on the other side of Rosethorn to Orchiddrop. He tried to be upbeat and cheerful for his new friend, Crow’s sister-in-law, chatting away carelessly, but be consciously stayed between her and Phantomfox, and every so often his eyes would wander to the scarred tom while he was talking and the sombre darkness there would be jarringly at odds with the boyish smile on his face. sunlight
Confident that Orchiddrop could look after her sister on her own, he wandered over to where Sunpetal was getting into an altercation with a WinterClan tom. “You’re not charging for these?” he interrupted, stopping behind Ratstar’s daughter and leaning over her to scoop up a crown of rosemary flowers with his good paw. He popped it over his ears and gave her an annoying grin, his head close to hers and the rest of his body still behind her. “Prob’ly ‘cos they’re totally crooked and uneven. You’re a terrible businesswoman, hillbill.” Still grinning at Sunpetal, he hooked the yellow crown Reapingnight had been reaching for with his own claws and tossed it at the WinterClan tom. “Enjoy,” he purred quietly, and slipped away.
Had the former leader been trying to avoid a fight between SummerClan and WinterClan royalty by drawing the heat onto himself, or did he just enjoy interfering? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. XOXO, Gossip Girl. woofJadie
Jadiefox Sunpetal was NOT intimidated in the least. Her fur was just raised tonight for a fashion statement, of course. "They're free to anyone with manners," she insisted between a forced smile, intended to be sweet but the reality looked staged, a mannequin with its lips pulled over an emotionless smile. It faltered as Doefreckle intervened and, before Reapingnight could run off with his undeserved spoils, she yanked the crown back from him, leering at her clanmate. "I think NOT. He's being a brat." There was a lot of irony in that statement that was lost on Sunpetal, too busy sticking her tongue out at Reapingnight.

Winterclan Indigocrown could not help but notice the beginnings of a skirmish with a Summerclan cat. There were not going to be issues from them on her watch and she sauntered over, a low warning growl escaping her, "Put your claws away, Reapingnight. You will show manners and respect. Do you understand?" It was not truly a question, but an order. He may be a seraph but Winterclan would certainly not shed any blood tonight, nor would she be defied by one of the warriors while acting under Wintrystars orders herself. Her gaze moved to the Summerclan warrior who was handing out flower crowns. They were certainly beautiful, but she had to wonder why even wanted one. They would not last a day in the harsh cold of the mountain top. Jadiewoof
Summerclan Netherpaw was just about to defend his clanmate and their crowns with a hiss, when suddenly another cat came and snatched one up. He couldn't help but snort with amusement and appreciated how tough the garden keeper was. His eyes widened when a large cat he didn't recognize reproached the rude time and he looked at Sunpetal for her reaction before a smug smile crossed his face. "A flower crown wouldn't make your ugly mug any prettier anyways," He said to the tom cat, sticking his tongue out in a childish manner. Maybe one day he would learn not to antagonize cats much larger and older than himself.

**~~**~~SunClan's Arrival~~*~~**~~** than usual, SunClan entered into the clearing with their usual flare. A well organized formation, their painted pelts flickering like flames in the darkness under the light of the full moon. The SunClan cats stopped at the edge of the clearing, only dispersing with the flick of their High Priestess' tail.
Littlestar's gaze fell upon the cats standing above the others. It seemed as if some leadership changes had happened since the last gathering. She leapt up beside of her sister in law, greeting her with a small smile "Jetstar, it is good to see you" Jetclaw
Reapingnight was a little surprised by his sudden ally in Doefreckle, but glad nonetheless to finally have his crown. He lifted it up to his head and was a fraction of a second from actually wearing it when he felt Sunpetal try to tug it away. Growling, the dark-furred tom refused to let go, which of course resulted in it snapping in half, little yellow petals cascading everywhere. Immediately this triggered a sneeze on behalf of Reapingnight which he may or may not have intentionally directed right in Sunpetal's face.
"YOU...." He growled, glaring intently at the SummerClan she-cat. His paw was already raised from trying to place the crown on his head and he was now poised to strike Sunpetal... only for Indigocrown to show up and hold him back. He gave the Heir a look full of malice and dramatically dropped his paw to the ground, digging them into the corpse of the crown he had so wanted just moments before.
"Whatever. Turns out it's junk anyway if it breaks so easy, honestly I'm embarrassed that I almost put it on my head!" wooffoxuniqcrim
SUNCLAN
Soaringlight showed up to the Gathering without a single speck of paint on her dark cinder pelt. Okay, that's a lie, she had some blue paint framing her eyes only because there's no way Littlestar would have let her show up without it, but it wasn't obvious like the rest of the SunClan cats nor the right color for her rank as Priestess Promised. The minute she arrived she distanced herself from the SunClan cats and went to look for her family in Renegade Regime @anyone

Valleyrose didn't often attend Gatherings but had decided to go on this one. As always her paint was simple but elegant, her amber eyes big and bright. She stood close to her sister, Magnoliablush, offering her support as this would be the first time her sister had made a public appearance since losing her tail.
"Strange that DayClan hasn't arrived yet," She commented, trying to keep her sister distracted, "They're usually the first ones here, but I guess we are late, too." racer

Perfectstorm had turned into quite a loner, hadn't he? Most SunClan cats were keeping their distance from him and he didn't really look all that approachable in general. He was a large, good looking tom cat, but intimidating as all hell especially when he wasn't smiling. The guy had demons, anyone could see that, although he didn't seem... dangerous. Just haunted.
"Excuse me, where are all these flowers coming from?" He asked a passerby with a flower crown, his voice surprisingly warm, "They're pretty." @anyone
Doefreckle, ever the busy-body and more than a little a bit of a bully, if only so far as being popular made him into a soft-smiled mean girl with polite-voiced acidity, decided against leaving the drama alone and instead circled back to flop down on his side next to Sunpetal. He should really have defended his friend, but instead he just laughed, watching the back-and-forth with glittering eyes and letting out another laugh when the flower crown snapped in half and sent petals fluttering down all over him. When Reapingnight sneezed on Sunpetal, he pulled a slightly disgusted sneer, humming sympathetically at Ratstar’s daughter - charming - and offering her a leaf to wipe her face with. It was only when Reapingnight looked like he might hit her that Doe got quickly to his paws, stepping closer to Sunpetal and staying there even when Indigocrown appeared to hold the other tom back.
“Good thing you didn’t,” Doe agreed, leaning slightly in front of Sunpetal to speak directly to Reapingnight. “It would have been a shame to see Sunpetal’s work wasted on someone who didn’t have the breeding to know how to wear one. Yellow? For a prince? What a faux pas - I can only imagine what his mother might have thought,” he added to Sunpetal, like there was any truth at all to what he was saying. But Reapingnight didn’t need to know there wasn’t some complex colour hierarchy to SummerClan’s flower crowns, he just needed to feel a fool. “Come on, Sun, this clientele is wasted on you. Let’s move to a place better suited.” Slinging half a dozen crowns over his tail, unfazed, he turned away from the WinterClan tom and gestured to Netherpaw with a pointed little nod to pick up the rest. Deathreign watched the gathering with an unshakeable dread lumping in his throat. This wasn't his first gathering - Wintrystar had been trotting out her kids since they were big enough to attend - but it was the first time he was here as a Knight, and he was going to have so many more eyes on him. He just wanted to hang out near the edges of the group, maybe make a few smart comments; the nice thing about his persona was that he rarely had to speak. Talking too much wasn't very cool. He could handle being cool, he had practiced for his whole life, but what he couldn't handle was Reapingnight.
It was his job now to step in when his brother was being a fool, wasn't it? His paws were rooted to the ground as Indigocrown and Doefreckle struggled to control his errant sibling. Reapingnight would shred him if he ever tried to give him an order, but Pomegranatedecay would be furious if they made a scene... as Doefreckle stepped away, he saw his chance. The bronze tom hurried to stand between the retreating SummerClan cats and his brother. "Look at those SummerClan losers go," he chuckled nervously, "thinking anyone wants their stupid flowers. Ha. Ha. That's funny, isn't it, Indigocrown?" He glanced at the deputy, praying she would play along. Physically restraining his brother wouldn't work for long. Jadie @uniqrcrim
NightClan
Stormreign perked his ears as he spotted the colorful arrangement of SunClan cats fanning out in the gathering. NightClan's early arrival had afforded him the opportunity to find a prime spot to wait; he sat near the front of the gathering space, where he would have a great view of the leaders' announcements. The blue tom swiveled and sat up straight as he sought out a familiar face, wondering if he ought to be searching the clan or waiting for the tunnelers to arrive. racer
Inksplash noticed the SummerClan cats moving away from some WinterClan cats being rude. "Hey! Doe-" Crap what was Doestar's warrior name. "You guys, come over here! I think there's some cats over here who'd really like some flower crowns!" She called waving her tail to beckon them over.
"I wouldn't say no to a flower crown if they have some to spare." Softpelt mused shifting to sit by her daughter. "I think some of our cats could use a little sun to light up this gathering."
She glanced at her bedraggled clanmates knowing they needed a little pick me up with all the struggling to deal with the flood on their territory. foxwoof
NightClan Skybrook turned her head towards Perfectstorm overhearing him ask about flower crowns. "Oh, I think I heard the one giving them out over there." She said gesturing vaguely in the direction of Sunpetal. "Are they pretty?" She asked, the blind she cats gaze hazy as she turned towards Perfectstorm, but her eyes weren't actually on him, her blind gaze a little off his shoulder. Jadie
SpringClan Jetstar breathed a small breath of relief and nodded. "Same to you." She meowed, her pelt able to lie flat now that her sister in law had arrived. They would always be an ally and she hoped she could get a chance to speak with Littlestar alone before SunClan departed.
IF there was anyone she trusted to be able to help SpringClan it was her sister in law with SunClan's strength and resources. racer
Winterclan Although he was rude, she was content enough with him backing down even with the nasty attitude. She looked at Deathreign with something almost like relief in her eyes, "They will wilt in die within days, their beauty is very fleeting." She sniffed and turned away from the flowers, hardly giving the Summerclan cats a second look. They were of no real interest to her anyways. She regarded the new knight with guarded curiosity, grateful for his help. She had never really taken a liking to cats from other clans. pao
Summerclan He couldn't help but stick his tongue out at the Winterclan cats one last time before turning tail on them an walking away, "Doefreckle is right! I'll bet the springclan cats would love them especially. Winterclan cats always have an ice shard up their butt or something," They could never just play nice.
