Hey guys. Let me start off by saying that you all are absolutely wonderful people and friends, and that Classic has been home to some of my fondest memories over the years.

With that said, I'm going to be leaving the site for a while. Not entirely sure how long; probably a couple of months at the fewest, and upwards of a year at the latest. I promise that I'll eventually come back though, once I've got my personal ducks in a row. For anyone that doesn't know, this is my Senior year of college, and while I already struggled with my activity over the summer, after the first two weeks of classes, I realized that balancing Classic on top of everything else going on would be an impossible feat. As I'm sure many of you have heard me say already, "Classic is just a website at the end of the day, and what happens in your real life matters so much more than a story." Well, I've decided to take my advice genuinely this time, for the sake of my own mental health. I apologize for doing this on such short notice, but it's a realization that I've only recently forced myself to admit. 



So, now comes the part that most some of you are probably waiting for: what happens to my characters.
Don't be ashamed for it! I ended up in some pretty amazing plotlines! I'd like to know how they end too! XD

- Anyways, most of my Minor characters (Largelight, Grasslizard, Sliprabbit, and Laela) have been posed in the donation thread for the Adoption Center, if anyone's interested in picking them up. I chose those four because I never had as much character development with them as I would have liked, and I'd love to see how someone else interprets them. Sliprabbit especially has a lot of fun family history to work with; ask Sen or Cleaver for details! ^-^

- I'm putting Weevilspike up for adoption as well, but because he's a character I'd like to use again when I come back, I'd prefer it if you DM'd me on Discord if you're interested in holding him for me.

- Tinybreath, Icesplash/Seasparkleflash, Gravelshell are dead tho. Sorry, them's the breaks. They're all old af, they deserve to rest.

- Speaking of Cleaver, my chum buddy good ol' pal; Firetooth's yours. Congratulations. I'm sure you're ecstatic. lol Tbh if you can't work with another character right now, racer is also a good choice for him. Flip a coin or something idk
Why did he step down from Swift MC?: Firetooth stepped down when it was clear that his dear daughter Fawnpelt was ready to take over for him. He's lived enough of an...interesting life, just let the man retire in peace; cuddling with his wife, hanging with his brother, playing with his kids, being rude to young people, arguing with Chim as they try and deny their romantic tension, and having pleasant dreams of killing Bloodystar with his own two paws. He deserves it. #PygmyFawnChimFireJet5ever

- Finally, last but certainly not least...Ratstar. Legitimately, honest-to-God, he is my pride and joy on this site. My reign as Summerclan Leader is my magnus opus on Classic; I have spent the last year and a half working my tail off to revitalize this clan and make something for everyone to enjoy, something different from all of the other clans, without losing their traditional roots. And I couldn't have done it without Ratstar; a character that started out as a complete joke, and has grown and developed into the most beloved character I've ever had. If I have a lasting legacy on this site, on Classic, I want Ratstar to be it. 

For those reasons, I'm giving Ratstar to whoever is chosen to be the next Leader of Summerclan, and when they step down, I'd like for him to be passed along as Elder Ratstar.
Why did he step down? I don't know. Maybe Starclan politely asked him to. Maybe he got in an accident and lost most of his lives like Hawkstar. Maybe he got burnt out, like his rp'er did. Or maybe he saw his successor and just knew they would be better for Summerclan's future. Take your pick. You honestly don't need to rp with him much if you don't want to; as long as he stays on the page with someone holding onto him, I'd be happy. And whenever I eventually come back, I wanna see my baby boy lounging on the beach next to his darlin' Poppy, wearing a Gucci flower crown, surrounded by his bazillion kids (and maybe grandkids), both bio and adopted. That's my last wish before I part ways with you all for a while.

I can't wait to see what Classic looks like in 2022.
