There are a couple of ways of doing this, but usually its by hunting in pairs. One cat can distract it, which the other approached from behind and grabs behind the snakes head. Remember though, snake can still bite even after they die, so whomever has the head has to hold it there until it completly stops moving, and even then let go carefully and get out of the way"
